I've just been really chuckling at how many of us are now on the naughty step. I have to say though at least we've spent our budgets on some lovely items - they all sound gorgeous & good value - not mindless spends.

I bought 2 more things a lovely phase eight top & a smart black laura ashley shirt - both off the pound rail of the charity shop so not too much damage to the budget. Plus a cute summer jump suit £3.50.

I came across a couple of bags of spring/ summer clothes that I'd stored in the loft to sell on eBay but had forgotten about. I've taken a few items back out and its been nice to wear a few different things without spending any money. Hopefully this will keep me on the straight and narrow in terms of my budget.

I am still on target though had a couple of small splurges.
The X Catalogue shop had a sale - tops for 99p and 1.99, trousers for 1.99, 3.99 and 4.24. One pair of trousers were MagiSculpt which usually go for £30 a pair, another Marisota.

I spent a tenner in Primarni - total spends £24. That's it for a while. I got the offer of some free tops from a Chinese seller in return for a review on Amazon, but they may not arrive until mid September.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.
  • Spent 33.99 out of my £250 budget. Found some kicker boots for £20.00 (4.99 delivery though) for one pair of school shoes someone suggested sports direct on a fb page, I hope they are right when they arrive! also £9 on two pairs of p.j's for the girls.

£216.01 left for the rest of the year

    Eeek

  • Returned the sandals I bought a couple of weeks ago. I only wore them a handful of times & they stretched so much I could barely keep them on my feet! I fell off them about 5 times today. So that's £40.27 back on the budget. Won't bother buying a new pair as summer appears to be over already..

    Well done Mavvy

I think I could get off the naughty step if I find time to sell some more stuff on Fleabay :)

In hindsight, I think £150 for the year was a bit too stingy, especially when I had got rid of loads of unwanted stuff too.

I might have blown the budget but I have bought good quality things I love (Hobbs, white stuff, karen Millen, phase eight etc). I am going to revise my budget to add another £100 for the rest of the year. so that I can get a few winter woolies and some new yoga clothes.
