  • Hi,

    I'm joining this challenge too....
I have a lot of clothes that I have in my closet that I haven't worn or have worn once or twice.
I will see how I can last with this challenge.
I think I will start streamlining my wardrobe too.

Christmas is coming up and I have to be honest that I dont think I will be able to stick with the "no purchase rule"... We will see how it goes. Please count me in.
  • Hello everyone :)

Definately think I should join!! I've just moved and got rid of a MASSIVE suitcase and a couple of bin bags FULL of clothes and could probably get rid of even more!

I must admit I have got better over the last few months but need to stop spending so much on clothes.

Even my brother said to me when he helped up move that he doesn't know I have so many clothes and wear the same few things!

I would say a budget of around £100 a year for me but as we've only got a few months left I would say that my budget from now until the end of the year should be £25 :)

Ok, so no spends to report other than underwear that I don't record here following my day out with DD last week. However, I did spot a coat on the day which we didn't have time to go back for (£62). Yesterday they didn't have my size so today I've ordered it on line (£46.50) so quite pleased with that.

    Will add to total.
Spend less now, work less later.

  • 2 X Merino wool tank tops - £1 each. They are too small for me to wear as tank tops but I want to use them as a under - layer anyway ... My Mum would have approved of me wearing a vest lol

mav whatever charity shops you go to...I'm coming with you saying that, a jacket I got in one the other week for £7 still had the tags on it when I came to dye it...£85!!!!! So I ruined an £85 white jacket to make a (fab may I say) joker costume, well frankly, the only other thing it would have been good for was mother of the bride or a Miami vice fancy dress...it was a little 'dated' let's say. But perfect for my needs so thank you to the person who kindly donated it.

kerri You are more than welcome to come with me :D
This was in an RSPCA chazzer and the lady said we have a jumble sale going on upstairs as we have so much stuff in. So nipped up there to find the coat tried it on but was no mirrors up there. So came down stairs wearing the coat :rotfl:
There is loads of lovely things about as most Charity shops will keep the winter stuff donated over the Summer back.So when the change over of seasons comes they have so much stuff to get out :D

One of our charity shops have become a clearence shop so they take all the unsold from all the shops in the area and everything is £1  You can pick up some fab bits in there if you have time to rumage as they have so much in there.

The jacket sounds just what you needed kerri and MOTB type stuff never seems to sell so good for you giving it a new lease of life ;)
