    Update for June

    I bought some T shirts in June - £24 from M&S.

So I'm on £270 out of £150 budget.

In July I am going to need to replace my shorts as I've lost a stone and a half. That's probably going to be expensive!

Thanks soooooo much fedupandskint for running this thread :T:T

Well done on the weight loss :T sounds like the shorts are a definite necessity.

After my moaning about AW15 creeping into the shops already I saw a gorgeous slouchy coat online last night....I am VERY tempted :o

June was my 5th month in a row with no clothing spends at all :)

    But I've broken my run.......

    My rules stated
    cw18 wrote: »
I'm actually setting myself restrictions on the items I can buy rather than a financial limit though, as in many cases I've no idea what I'll have to pay to get the right fit.

From my footwear budget I'm going to allow myself a pair of knock-around trainers which I'll be out looking for next week. (Purchased on 2/1/2015.)

From general clothing I can only spend on bras, and then only if I need some as I lose weight.

From my fitness budget the only items I can buy are a pair of lightweight waterproof overtrouses (yet to find any that are short enough for me), [strike]swimming caps (compulsory in the gym pool, but my hair is long enough that I'm struggling to find any that will go on and stay on - the few I had are currently rotting away from the chlorine after not a lot of use, so I'd like to find some longer lasting ones!),[/strike] and possibly some running shoes (which will come expensive - currenly have 3 pairs that cost around £100 each, and at least 1 pair is close to recommended mileage limit). Oh, and possibly sports bras - with the same "only if the ones from last time I lost the weight don't fit" rule as for everyday ones.
As I've cancelled my gym membership I can forget about needing swimming caps.

But I have finally (today) found some waterproof overtrousers that fit reasonable well (not perfect but best I've found) without totally blowing the bank. Several stores had nothing under £60 (), but I managed to get some for £29.99

Means the only things left that I'm allowed to buy this year are bras (if I really, really don't own any that fit) and running shoes if mine start to not give the minimum required protection (holding out so far, but I've not actually done much running).

Isn't it a good feeling when you finally track down something you've been looking out for for ages cw

Speaking of which, I posted a separate thread but no answers so I thought I'd ask you guys...can you recommend anywhere for basic black leggings? Ideally ones where should I bend over, people don't see my spotty knickers though.
I got some from new look ages ago and they were fab, replaced them with the 'same' when they wore out and they were rubbish, went all baggy behind the knees. I have a pair from Primark (their cotton rich ones) for the interim but would really welcome some suggestions of any other decent ones.

Well done to everyone who had a no spend month, I had a no spend June too. Planning a no spend July for this month.

Thought I'd let you know my plan, I've been saving £5 a month for the Christmas sales in case I see anything I like then. I still have my £40 gift card I haven't spent yet and am trying hard to put a wedding outfit together out of clothes and shoes I already own. Let's see how I get on!

The only things I need are a new walking jacket as mine is frayed around the cuffs from wear. As I've saved up for this painstakingly slowly I'm not counting this in my budget. I might get this in a couple of months time when on holiday or leave it until after Christmas,

Well done everyone, let's keep not spending! Remember, wear what you have in your wardrobe!

Hello everyone. I don't think I'm going to get a no spend month. Yesterday I picked up the perfect black dress (can be casual/dressed up/for work etc) for only £11 in the sale and also bought some more underwear.

    Will update signature now.
Spend less now, work less later.

Good finds everyone and hats off to the no spenders.

I was doing the happy dance :j yesterday when I spotted a White Stuff maxi dress, looks like new in my size for £7. I've updated my signature and have hardly anything left in my budget. I do have money still in my Paypal account though from clothes I got rid of and I have about 10 more things to go on Ebay when I find time to do it.

What a lovely find Rowan moon :D transfer paypal to your bank and then you have some more funds to spend :) You have sold loads so if you take it off your budget you must be quids in :A

I picked up a nice Joules striped tunic/dress for Winter for £2.50 and a Black short tie up cashmere cardi with very pretty tiny pearls around the cuffs for £1.50 so couldnt leave it :) So £4 to add to my total.

Hi - I am totally new to forums, how do I join and how do I post?
Sorry to be so dumb about it.
There are six months left if you count July so I would like to spend no more than £20 a month on clothes so I guess £120 is my budget from July -end of December
