Thank you for the welcomes
I have a giant box of unused ones so I will try to have all my clothes decluttered by June and then maybe sell the hangers I don't need
From your experiences, would you recommend FB or car boot sales to shift unwanted clothes quickly? I don't have any designer pieces, mostly Primarni and other high street brands, and am not a fan of selling on Fleabay.
Those are great bargains, Mav, well done! And good on you for replacing your old bra with the new one instead of keeping both
I've never had any joy selling on FB I'm afraid, think it depends on the group and what you're selling - baby and children's stuff seems to go well esp in dedicated groups.
I've sold a few times at car boots, be realisitc about what you're asking, don't think about what you paid for it but what you're willing to let it sell for, and if you really do have a set price / nice piece etc, don't be afraid to stick to your guns and let someone walk away.
I had to ask a 'gentleman' to put down a worn once paid of jeans i wanted £6 for with him telling me 'no no no only pays 50p for jeans here'. I think I actually said 'well i'm afraid I am not selling those for 50p so could you please put them back so someone else can look at them'...which was a LOT more polite than what I was thinking at the time.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I have far too many hangers, in fact more than I need. Someone on FB was giving them away for free so I kindly relieved her of her clutterThey are plastic though, not wooden, but that's easier for me as the plastic ones are thinner so I can squeeze more clothes into the wardrobe :rotfl:

I have done alright with FB selling but with Prim*rk you would need to do bundles of the same size and you wont get a lot for them.I only ever buy at bootsales as it gets on my nerves as Kerri says with people offering nothing for the stuff. I always say' no thank you but if I have still got it at the end of the day you can have it for that price' They know you wont have it left at the end and they wont hang about till the end so normally buy it
So think at the most £1 per item as its so cheap to buy in the first place in Pri*ark and people know it
I cant give my hangers away for love nor money so they are going to the recycling centre at some point !
Good luck with what ever you decide to do if you struggle there is always Charity shops to donate to

Rowan, your poor Mum - I hope she is on the mend and back on her feet (literally) soon.
I bought a top at a charity shop - £3 (charity shops are really expensive here) - but it makes another 5 'outfits', that I can think of off the top of my head, for work, so a worthwhile purchase I think.
I've amended my signature.
I have quite a few 'spare' hangers now, and have chucked away any rubbishy ones (they don't accept them in the recycling here). Still working on that elusive 'capsule' wardrobe ...Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

Hi All
Been super- busy the last couple of weeks so haven't been around. You all sound like you're doing really well.
I bought a zip up cardigan in TK Maxx just over a week ago but I'm going to return it - haven't washed it but it's already gone bobbly and has a very temperamental zip. That's the second time recently that something like this has happened - the universe is clearly telling me to stop buying clothes.
I went in about 10-15 charity shops yesterday and didn't buy a thing! I just don't feel the same about it now. I saw some things that were "quite nice" but didn't feel the need to buy anything. Almost had my head turned by a Hobbs Jacket but at £30 I thought it was too pricey - if it had been a tenner I would have bought it.
Yes, the Universe is definitely keeping me in line....
Rowan best wishes to your mum xShifting my energy for 20200 -
I now have a great big box filled with hangers and 2 great big laundry type bags full to go.If they dont take them at recycling then sadly landfill it is
Will offer them on FB again and see if I get any takers.
They have just got to go taking up loads of space. They are really getting on my nerves now :rotfl:
I also wouldnt pay £30 for a Hobbs Jacket not when I just paid £3 for mine. Much too expensive in my book !

Fab buy on the hanger Rowans moon sorry to hear your mum is now plastered on both legs, saying that they could do that to a few of us to keep us out the shops.
I have no spends to report though I have been out and bought my Mum some new clothes. She was moved yesterday to a care home for rehab and suddenly she can get dressed in real clothes. Trouble is the staff have to be able to get them on her easily as she can only stand up with help. So t shirty type tops and jogging bottoms but managed to get tops in the colours she loves - lavender, turquoise and blues. She was really chuffed with them so it cheered her up.
I've put a few more things on Ebay and what doesn't sell can go to the cs on Thursday. I've almost reached the point where I like and will wear all that's left- most of my clothes now spark joy ( yes, I've sneaked over to the kondo thread a few times :rotfl:).
I'm very impressed with those of you managing no spends and we all seem to be getting better at really getting our money's worth from our clothes. :TCrazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -

Great news on your mum being moved, I bet just being able to get dressed will help her feel better. You've prob converted her to t-shirts and joggers now too, just make sure she doesn't start wearing them like Justin Bieber
Well done on the eBay listings, I keep looking at the pile and really CBA at the moment. Might try and get my bum in gear and do a couple of listings tonight.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

It is great news Rowan moon glad she loved the clothes you got for her.:) If she does start wearing a cap with the joggers and T-shirts make sure she wears the peek round the back :rotfl:But I would draw the line at the thick gold chainshaha
Glad you are lurking on the kondo thread it really does make sense in the clothes department
I have a couple of things to add
A new F*tface hoody in a lovely Teal colour £5 (to replace one that I have chucked)
2 x N*ke running tops dri fit onespink one £2.95 and a Black one £1.50
New per*na Black long skirt right up my street £2
So a bargain £11.45 in total so happy with that.
I am also being so fussy with what I am buying so this thread has helped me no end along with kondo thread
