    Hi All - Back from holiday - happy that the sun has followed me home :-) Hope you are all well

    Before I went away I bought a pair of gym trousers £14.99 (very envious of your sportswear haul mavvy - what a great find !!) and a sarong £3.99 - which means that I've gone slightly over my annual budget at just short of 6 months into the challenge. As I've said before, I'm not too disappointed as this is my first time doing the challenge and my budget was a guess. All I know is that I've spent WAY less than I would have.

    Glad you had a nice holiday :) Yes the sportwear haul was a really lucky find. Will not have to buy any more trousers for many many years :) Tops and sports bras will have to keep looking for as do need a couple as had to throw away a bra that was really worse for wear :(

    I think you have done really well and LBH £120 for the year is really low :eek:I am like you and know I would have spent so much more if I had not been on this challenge.I do think really hard about what I am buying.

    I do have a purchase to add 2 pairs of Joe Browns ballet style flats an E*ay purchase.I have some already in a multi Orange colour and wear them all the time and these are in multi Blues and Multi Greens so pretty pleased I hope (when they arrive) They were £18 for both with postage. So not a bad price me thinks :D

    Just passing through, will catch up properly later. Bought 2x sports bra, 2x ex t shirts and a sun dress recently so have now sent £100 from £180 budge, pretty much all on summer stuff as cleared out a lot of worn out summer clothes end of last summer. Aiming for no spend July and August though (all available funds to school uniform shop!!)

    I've been missing for a little while, because life got busy. My Mum had a fall and is in hospital and I also started new job a few weeks ago.

    Some spends to report while I was on holiday
    * nice top with wisteria pattern £4
    * lavender coloured cardi to go with top )£4
    * cornflower blue Cotton Traders top £4.50
    * Turquosie cardi £3.50
    * navy linen trousers £4
    * turquoise Ted Baker t shirt £4
    Total spent £24 to come off my budget.

    I do have about 10 more things to go on Ebay when I have time to do it though.

    Thanks Kerri. They now think she's fractured her lower leg so will be in hospital a while longer.

    I've put 6 things on Ebay (2 of them things I bought from there a while ago that were just not quite as flattering as they could have been). Not had any time for buying, what with new job and hospital visiting.

    This thread has done me three big favours. Helped me be more choosy about what I buy, encouraged me to let go of those things that are not quite right and made me more conscious of what I spend on clothes. Thanks for the encouragement along he way :)

    Thats a shame about your Mum Rowan Moon and I hope she gets better soon:( Must be a very stressful time for you all :(

    Yes I agree with your thoughts on this thread I am also much more careful with what I buy now as we really dont want to look like frumpy granny or Baby Jane so it does make you much more aware of things that flatter rather than just buy as they are a good make.

    Saying that I picked up a pair of Next jeans (next always fit me well) In a copper Brown colour and skinny fit. They are the lift and shape ones that cost a fortune new but I dont think they make a blind bit of difference. Does my bum look lifted and shaped Mmm maybe not ! :rotfl::rotfl:Dont think Beyonce needs to worry about me stealing her thunder if you know what I mean :)

    But for £2.20 they look good and fit well and I will wear them so all good :)

  • I'm such a bad CC Challenger :( I've hardly been around, and I can't remember everything I've bought, I don't think. But I'm going to try - the warmer weather meant I needed some lighter clothes for work so I've bought a short sleeved top, two dresses and a little shrug thing, spending £80 in total, so I've updated my total.

    I'm still in dire need of shoes, but I have a little list of things I'm looking out for now, so that I don't buy random stuff. I've also ordered and sent back lots of things - it has to be perfect for me, otherwise I won't buy it, and I am trying to buy work dresses, for example, that I can wear now because they have short or cap sleeves, and in the winter with tights, boots and a cardigan.

    Everyone is doing really well, I do like having the time to get on MSE and read about people's bargains!
    Enjoying the power and freedom of letting things go.

    Hope your mum is back on her feet soon Rowan moon xx

    This thread helps me (most of the time) think about what I'm buying too - even though I don't have an official target.

    Mav sounds like you've been in luck with the bargains again, must admit I don't get on with next jeans at all. i'm sure your derrière is perfectly pert with / without the magic jeans :D
