Well the good news is after a good soak with Dr Beckmanns and a wash, the stain seems to have come out of the linen skirt (well I certinly didn't see it when I ironed it this evening) and washing the dry clean only item doesn't seem to have harmed it (I have linen trousers marked wash at 40 and hot iron).

Listed 5 items on fleabay tonight and a few more that ended with no sale while I was at it, figured they might get more attention while I have other things for sale. Wish me luck. And well done Mavvy.

    Update for April

Bought another pairs of much needed jeans cost £25. Bought another shirt £25.

So I'm on £176 out of £150 budget.

I'm not quitting though! I'm hopeful that May will be a no spend month

Thanks soooooo much fedupandskint for running this thread :T:T

I have a bra to throw out.

When I put it on yesterday I noticed one of the straps had become a thin strip up one side and a thread (instead of thin strip) on the other - the fabric between having disappeared a while back. By the time it came off the thread had snapped.

Still got plenty to be going on with though, so shouldn't need to replace even though this was my only 'natural' coloured one (the others are all black or white).

Also have a sock or pair of socks to go. One sock has developed a non-repairable hole, so I need to have a look and see if I have any other pairs the same - though I suspect not for this design. If I have, then the 'good' sock stays so that when another develops a hole it can become a replacement ;)

Mavvy wow those sofas sound fab and a really great price.

Kerri glad you were able to rescue the skirt.

Posh Spice good for you for sticking with it. For me it is about just being more conscious of what I buy and only keeping what is really right for me.

CW18 Sounds like the bra and sock had lived a good life and time to part ways :-)

All I have to report is that my Ebay sales went well including a cs top for £4.50 sold for £37!!!

That money will stay in my paypal account and be used to buy any clothes I need later on.

Hope you are all having a good May so far.

A pair of leggings (animal print would you believe) and a pair of jeggings purchased. Good quality, snug fit, almost stops the circulation. £27 spent pushing my total so far for the year to £200. Oh and didn't have to spend £30+ on new shoes (particular type) as MIL gave me hers which she'd never worn.

I also spent £86 last week on clothes for a new sport I've taken up but as its kit and won't be used for anything else, I'm not counting it in this budget.
Spend less now, work less later.

E*AY parcels went today while I was there I picked up a lovely Pasty Seddon for Phase eight maxi linen skirt in a dusky Blue for the very reasonable sum of £3.65 :) This is for me and will go very well with the Blue Phase I seem to be in at the moment :D

Got home and swapped new skirt for one in the wardrobe I dont like as much and thats in the E*AY pile :D

As I am in the middle of the Marie Kondo(thread on OS board) Art of tidying book I would recommed it to everyone. Tidying and decluttering once and for all !!!!!

    Have a good weekend everyone
