The Completely Crazy 2015 Clothes Challenge

I've gone for a complete no spend month on clothes which is good for me. I was given a gift card as a leaving present which I can spend on clothes when I find some I want and not count them in my spends!
Well done to all no spenders, remember what this challenge is all about.....control the spending on clothes. Not everyone has to go for no spend months, it's about controlling those spends by sticking to the budget!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Just declaring April as a zero clothes spend!
Budget still intact. xx“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Well done on the new job rowan moon
had some spare time at lunch time so inspired by you lot i had a mooch in the CS. Nearly bought an LK Bennett shirt for £6 but wasn't sure on the size so left it. But did get a Hobbs skirt from the CS that is sadly closing (lease is up, being turned into flats and they can't afford anywhere else in the high street) at 50% off for £5. I do think most of the CS in town are quite expensive tbh.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Well done Serendipitous and Fedupand skint on your NO SPEND Month on clothes. I had my first spend of the year earlier this month for £4. A skirt from a charity shop. I can't believe that I have only spend £4.00 on clothes since Christmas - it is a miracle for me. ( In the past I would have spent between £400 - £800 by this time in the year). I even have a voucher that I received for Christmas that I haven't spent yet - normally I would have spent it within about a week of receiving it.
Hope everyone else has had a good month.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

Thank you
I don't think I've ever seen a Hobbs or L K Bennett item in a cs. Sounds like you bagged a bargain with the skirt.
Well done to the no spenders. A couple of the cs things I bought this month have gone on Ebay (just want to get back what I paid really). After trying on again they were just not right.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -

Another month with no clothing spends for me. I've been into the local charity shop several times over the last 2 weeks (dropping off all kinds of non-clothing bits found during a dejunk of the first of several areas in the house), and haven't even paused around the clothing rails (which I have to pass to get to the counter). I also barely set foot into a supermarket with a clothing section, and if I have I've totally ignored it even if I had to walk past.
I think it's safe to say I've broken my habit of "I'll just take a quick look to see what's on offer these days"Cheryl0 -
A huge success for me this month - bought a dress on 1st April which is accounted for in my total and before I joined the challenge - and have not bought one single item for the whole rest of the month!! I would normally have bought in the region of 12 expensive full price items during that time! Thank you for the motivation! I'm also interested in the charity shop reselling so will get started with that soon.0

I had pledged to buy no shoes. Pledge got broken today. But with a good excuse. I've had an awful allergic reaction. On my right foot to a new spray I bought for a dodgy toenail. It tingled a bit then went all red scaly and then awful as I was having to put shoes and boots on to go to work.
I have endless shoes. But what I needed was a sandal with a strap over the foot, no toebar and preferably one with two straps so I could unbuckle the top one to let my poor foot breathe. I didn't have anything suitable. So I splashed out on a pair of boys (I have small feet) denim Birkenstock copies from peacock for £8. Doing the job perfectly, foot on the mend. Oh and I also spent £5 on new nix. That's the trouble with going in shops...
So day 1 of the month and I have to confess to £13 spends. I have a £50 Max budget.
I spent less than a tenner last month. Good result but note to self...we don't carry over what we don't spend. I want to get out of debt fast.Total debt at 18.9.17 £1950
