The Completely Crazy 2015 Clothes Challenge

Mavvy thanks for the advice on selling as I'm new to it and have only sold my own unwanted things so far. My best sale was the Jules gilet that I bought in a cs for £7 (which I though was a bit steep). I wore it once and decided I looked like a telly tubby and sold it for over £30.
Sometimes I see lovely cs things not in my size, so I'm tempted to have a go.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -

Ok I've been inspired by Mavvy to try this. I bought a new with tags white Ted Baker shirt for £7 (tag says £75) in a small size. Going to try to get at least £15 for it. What do you think?
I've also sorted some of the clothes I recently bought on Ebay to go back on there. Deciding to only keep the things I love and know I will wear.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Woo hoo Rowan Moon go for it
Right here goes Ted Baker comes up (normally) very small so make sure you check the web site and see what UK size small is. ( Is it a mans or ladies ?)
Then measure it flat including arm length from shoulder to cuff if long sleeved. also around the top of the arms as that can be small as well.
take a clear photo of the tag and start it at £14.99 as that starts at a £60 saving which is a good discount in my book :rotfl:
Then sit back and hopefully watch the bids roll in
Good luck

Thanks for the tips Mavvy. I had a quick nose in the CS where I dropped som stuff off yesterday but anything 'nice' like Hobbs were priced about £18-£20 to start with, too much IMO to take a risk on. Was a big pushed for time so will have a nowe more when I get a chance. There's a massive car boot near me though so might have a mooch there with a friend one week (make a change of standing selling) I might take X amount and challenge myself to double it.
On the up side, no shopping for me today, been in the garden all day replacing log roll round a boarder, which doesn't sound much except it goes virtually the length of our garden, had to take out the old stuff, dig back, fit stakes to the new stuff and get it all in situ, and its 40cm high roll so not light work.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Kerri I agree I wouldnt pay £18/20 either so expensive  The bootsale sounds a really good idea I have got loads from bootsalesand well done on the gardening sounds like you have been to busy to shop
Well I have got all my summer stuff down from the loft today I thought there was 1 storage box but there was 5 :eek: Including 13 dresses shocking really. But have sorted out and have 9 of them to go on E*ay tommorow. 4 to keep one of them is too long so going to have to get it taken up but its lovely so worth it
Loads of 3/4 trousers and jeans loads of T shirts and other summer bits so will try all them tommorow and sort out what to keep and whats to go.
Was so excited when I found them all and now its like having new things
So I know whats planned for me in the morning listing listing listing :rotfl:

Debbiedeejay Charity Shops variable here too (South London) with BHF standing out as most expensive (can't remember the last time I bought from there). The ones I buy from mostly sell at around £3.50 an item and most have a pound rail. There was one that used to have a whole shop with £1 stuff - I loved it - got some amazing bargains there. It closed down a while ago though :-(. Lovely Cat Protection League shop near me does paperbacks 20p each & (I think) 8 for £1.00 . £2.00 is over the top for a paperback.
Thank you. Last year when I started the challenge I found it very difficult and a month seemed like a year when I was trying not to spend. This year I have found it much easier. I have broken the cycle of 'woo Hoo, I have just got paid lets go shopping'. I also am trying to save as much money as possible ( doing the 12k in a year challenge - but have set a lower target) as well as doing up the house and garden - my priorities have shifted and I realised that I can't do everything. Have recently bought 1 skirt for £4. Picking up tips from everyone here about how to shop more cheaply - but still buying good quality clothes. I still have vouchers from Christmas!!! Saving them to buy myself a new pair of jeans when I need them.
We are out tomorrow for the day, may look around a couple of CS if they are open.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

My Karen Millen jacket arrived today from Fleabay and luckily I love it. It cost £55 so I was worried I'd been a bit impulsive when it might not fit, but it's really nice. I'm not taking it out if my budget as it's out if money I got from selling unwanted clothes.
Went for a bike ride today and gave the padded nappy knickers a go and they made it a bit more comfy.Crazy clothes challenge 2017 - 30/3000 -
Is it too late to join?
I did my budget last week to support my goal of getting debt free by the end of 2015. OK, the figures suggest it will take me til March 2016 but I am going to push hard to get there sooner.
The budget won't allow me to spend more than £50 a month on clothes. I regularly need to spend on tights.. But here cones summer maybe so that won't be needed for a while. I used to spend thousands. Had a very bad shoe habit. And then a divorce looming. New ways now necessary!
A £50 max per month is £400 to end of year. Jumping in now... Gulp!Total debt at 18.9.17 £1950
Debts down £12,700 high in Feb 2015, £10,700 April 15, £8830 May 15, £6776 June 15 , £5857 July 15 £6970 1.3.16
£3950 15 May 2017 £3470 July 17 £2650 21.8.170
