    Morning all,

I'd like to join again for 2015 please - am doubling my budget to £240 for this year. Although a very low spend of £53.03 last year in total, 14 year old DS will need everything in bigger sizes this year and is in adult clothes, so that's 20% increase with the VAT  Shoes as well in Clarks adult.

I've decluttered my clothes already and one bag went to Oxfam yesterday and I've 2 x £5 vouchers for M&S on a £35 spend. I need to get new undies and bras.

Can't see me needing much else at the moment, possibly a second pair of jeans and t-shirts in the summer. Work wardrobe looks fine - had a lovely top for Christmas and a scarf that'll jazz up plain tops.

Good luck everyone and a very Happy and Frugal New Year

  • Hi I lurked in here last year and was inspired. I'm up for it as just looked on Quicken and downloaded a report for 2014 and I spent £881 on clothes for Me. Holy Moly! Put me down for £100. It's out with the machine and into the charity shops for me. In my defence I did lose 2 stone so nothing fitted but still!

  • Thank you fedupandskint for the nice new thread :T. I had a look in my wardrobe and I need NOTHING. I am going to have to go through everything and see of there is anything I can give to the charity shop etc but even after that I don't need anything. The budget I am setting for myself is for everything from unders to outers and I reckon £75 for the year will be more than enough. I have a terrible charity shop addiction to break and not sure I have enough willpower to break it but with motivation from all the lovely posters here I will succeed !!!

  • Thanks for the new thread, fedupandskint.
My target for the year is £500 but hoping to come in under. I'm going to need a few bits for summer- some new tshirts and shorts to replace ones that are worn out and possibly a new skirt. I'll probably need some new underwear at some point and may need to replace some running kit. On the would like to have list is another jumper or two and some new shoes.
I'm going to stick with the wardrobe declutter as well. I will not hoard... if it doesn't fit, suit me or fit with my lifestyle then its going :rotfl:

Hi there, I would like to join please. Have read all of 2014s thread and am inspired. I have no idea how much I spend on clothing for myself tbh, but I know I haven't bought anything I'm absolutely in love with for years. The irony is my 3 year old has a more cohesive, thought out wardrobe than I do!

So not only do I plan to stop spending so much on pieces that 'will do' my aim is to get rid of these things that tend to be my daily uniform and utilize all the beautiful pieces I already have.
There is no reason why I can't wear a silk dress to the supermarket (although seeing as I go out about once a year the 50 pairs of heels must go)
I wouId like 2015 to be the year I remembered how I loved to stand out for the right reasons.I have things that make me look and feel beautiful, but dress to not be noticed nowadays. I don't want that anymore!

My budget will be £350. Any outside of this will be funded by selling old/unwanted things and nothing is going in without me loving it! (and without 2 going out)
This will include everything for me and the mini fashionista. She is set till her birthday in May time with some careful sales shopping and Xmas presents. However she will require new summer clothes. I would also like to achieve 6 no spend months
    Thanks :)

  • Please may I join? I would like a budget of £100. I am hoping to loose weight in 2015 so When I need new clothes I have to sell the ones I have got first. The money I make from selling clothes is extra to the £100.

  • I'd like to sign up for this challenge again please. I kept well under my budget of £100 last year and only bought 2 Christmas jumpers for work so 11 months I spent nothing on clothes at all. Please put me down for £100 again.

  • Thanks for the 2015 thread Fedupandskint.

Hello all, I'd like to sign up to the challenge for 2015 please. Developed a real passion for charity shops in 2014 after having a couple of years of no clothes buying and now I really need to rein it in again.

Budget will be £50 for 2015.

Best of luck to everyone and Happy New Year

    Me too please!

Have dabbled with this idea before but not managed to see it through the whole year. I have an enormous wardrobe with everything I could possibly use and more. I really don't need anything for 2015.
In fact, having the amount of stuff I do sort of feels oppressive if that makes any sense, and I'd love to simplify it down to just stuff I actually like and use. I've tried decluttering before though and I just can't do it, so I'm going to try a new approach if using it up this year and going for a gradual reduction in 'stuff'.
Operation Use it Up commences now. Will allow £100 for emergencies/essential underwear etc as a back up, but given I probably have 100 pairs of knickers it's going to have to be one hell of a big emergency!:D
