I've been so lucky with weigh in this week! After my feeding frenzy last week, I did SP Monday and weighed in Tuesday with only a 1 lb gain
I'm very relieved and will endeavour to stay on SP for this week!
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!
  • Our group experience and my own is that SP is a quick fix but you generally put weight on the following week, I think because your body uses up all its stores of carbs, makes your muscles shrink and when you start again it just fills up your carb stores.

I didn't throw my magnet away but I have moved it off the cooker, my son likes playing with it because it has a star on it and I was trying to teach him about magnets.

The Rhubarb bars have made a comeback at our group, but we seem to have lost the salted caramel ones, which is a shame as they're the nicest but pretty synful. My wife loved them, which annoyed me as they were expensive and she's not on SW so could eat proper chocolate.

Anyway I'm going to Taybarns tonight, I know it sounds bad (it's part of the Beefeater chain) and is a massive all you can eat place. I did figure that I could food optimise there pretty well compared to most other restaurants, which is why I chose it.

    Salad Bar
    Carvery - Meats and Veg
    baked beans
    corn on the cob
    mushy peas
    roast chicken
    fruit salad

So plenty to choose from, just need to stay away from the pizza and profiteroles.

Well done Crabapple on achieving normal bmi. :T I'm still struggling just to get into overweight :rotfl:

    b_e_g

    You've done amazingly!

I just realised I hadn't told hubby so said to him 'meet your not overweight wife!. He replied 'you're not the woman I married!' :rotfl:. Really pleased I've done it, especially as I started off obese.

Don't tell me that  Hopefully only a small loss on SP will mean I can still get one next week. Obviously not expecting 2.5lb a week at this stage.

Enjoy your lunch (but not too much!) :)

Well done on SOW BEG!! Fantastic!!

Some great losses coming in today. Well don to you all.

I'm debating throwing in the SW towel. I'm simply going through have a good few days, then blow it all! I lose, gain, sts and repeat. So frustrating. Today was ment to be a positive day, but son really unwell with mumps, DH is ripping out bathroom out and i'm stressed with the mess. Stressed with work. Stressed with poorly kids. And just wanna eat loads and loads of chocolate!

Ignore me.... Feeling sorry for myself, lol.

    CP xx

    We'll not ignore you :naughty::p

You have a lot on your plate (metaphorically ;)) at the minute so don't beat yourself up about it. Stick to plan when you can and if you sts over the next month or so then it's still better than gaining.

It is frustrating losing and gaining the same few lbs but if you give up completely what will happen? it isn't worth giving up - have a big old group hug from everyone :grouphug: and just do what you can x

i know exactly what you mean C P. I am the same, up & down up & down I feel like a yo yo. :D
There are days I just want to give up, but when it comes to it I can't. Look at yourself now, and think... If I give up now, I will get bigger and bigger.
I must admit I get very jealous when I read other people's big losses. But, it's not to be, for me, I must be a plodder.
Just think ,off slowly, stays off.:rotfl:
I spoilt my day yesterday, the rest of the family were having fish chips and mushy peas. I always have a plain cod fillet.. But not yesterday, I thought b****r it I have done without every time, so, I had one with batter and all. Yes it was good, but nothing to rave over, I would have enjoyed my piece of cod just the same. I won't do it again if I gain on Sunday then it's my own fault. So C P. Don't despair, we are on the same track, the RIGHT one.:T:T:T

    Hello all

I've been struggling to get my head in the right place this week, I have lots of stress at the moment which really isn't helping. But on the way to work this morning, I have stopped off and bought lots of fruit, yummy veg, some stir fry stuff, spices and eggs and low cal bread to make myself scrambled eggs on toast for lunch at work.

Oh, but in typing that, I've just realised I've had crunchy bran for breakfast so I'll have to count the bread as syns rather than a Hex B.

Oh I hope I can get my head round this soon!

CP Its hard so very hard, but stick at it. sometimes losses come quick and slow. for me its my diary sometimes I don't put things on and forget, I have seen people loose 3 stone in 10 weeks Im on 9.5lbs with a gain of1/2 last week. but going to keep trucking on. Ive been on a battle of fat since I was 21, Im not peeking 19stone 9lb heaviest ever so if I can do it you can.
I did loose weight around my brother death but that was a shock to system, I find writing it down helps.

well done to crabapple on normal bmi

Ginvt – How stressful for you, hope that your son is doing better soon!
Jocks my belly is my bug bear, I’m always left with one no matter how much weight I lose. Other parts of me end up superkinny but the belly is still there! Its never going to be flat unless I resort to some form of surgery which isn’t going to happen!
Thanks Greentiger, I sincerely hope I am. Need another good loss this week to keep me happy!
Shala / Daisy – I spent 3 months in Canada travelling when I was 21 absolutely loved it and hope to return someday! Oh and I actually came back slimmer with all the walking and its very easy to eat healthily over there, lots of roast dinners etc and I wasn’t even trying to lose weight then!! Stay to group Daisy you never know it just might help you!!! Think Bikini!! I wish someone would send me off to a fat camp too!!!
    Well done Cte1111
Jocks “ I think in reality I'm 7lbs away as I don't want to spend my life going to weigh in with light trousers and eating a very light tea every Tuesday” Lol you do make me laugh!!! This is exactly how I how I have felt at times

Counting Pennies, I agree with Shala, stick to it where you can and do what you can right now. You are just like the rest of us only human!!
