Just a quick post before I read back and catch up.

Was delighted to see Asda are doing their lamb offer again this year.
Whole leg joints £3.97 kg. I love Lamb but don't have if often due to the price it is normally but will stock up on this.

Heres the link to cook it SW and its 1.1/2 syns.

  • I'm really not getting the logic behind SP, I realised at teatime I'd not had any carby stuff as I had a Chilli and lentil soup at lunch time and no mullerlights (unusual for me). i was going to do myself a couple of boiled potatoes with some chicken breast and salad. Instead I had beetroot and pickled cabbage and as a result I could eat an extra HEB, which was two alpen bars.

    Doesn't really make much sense.

Thanks Lois, yes who knows why we get the things we do.I suspect I did have them before I lost weight though as I had all the symptoms then and they were more frequent which would make sense in that a low fat diet have led to less attacks.Had a chuckle at the cheese and pickle sticks !
CTE1111 well done on sending back that garlic bread!!Very heroic, much harder to say no to things when you actually see them!!So well done!!
Well done Mich City, you’ve turned it around, enjoy your sausages!
Crabapple I totally agree with you in my head I will always be overweight and I always get a shock when I look properly in the mirror – the shock of not being overweight doesn’t seem to go away!! And I’ve been this size for a year!!Lois, I got all those lovely comments as well it was all people in work etc seemed to talk about for a while but they’ve all gotten over it now!
RummerI went through a stage there for a few weeks of eating cheese smothered carbs and craving and wanting only them, comfort eating!! It will pass!Get that half stone off and then motor on.Your determined and the only person that can do it for you is you, so come on!!Have a strong little word with yourself!I have to do this all the time!
Weigh in for me tonight, sneaky weigh in suggests 2, fingers crossed!!

I have totally lost the plot this week. It's been so long since I've had a decent weight loss, I keep losing and gaining the same pound, half a pound at a time. Thus has been going on for about 6 weeks.
I've been eating for England and the commonwealth too! I've had cake, candy, pizza, Thai food, fish and chips, loads of bread toasted with butter. I woke up this morning and it hit me- what have I done to myself?:(
I've weighed myself and think I've gained about 4 lbs. I'm over my food rebellion now, I want to get on with it. Do you all think I should have a week of low carb first before going back on SW? I think the number of carbs on SW might have been a trigger for my binging. But I love the SW way of eating so much:o

If you do SP for a week you'll still be doing SW! SP is similar to low carbing.

SP is having Protein and Speed foods 50:50. You can also have one HEA and two HEBs. No synfree yoghurts (like Mullerlight; Total 0%). If you really want yoghurt you can only have synned ones but really you should try to avoid.

    Good luck.

    Morning :)

Retiredlady - you could try doing low carb first, or do SP for a week as that is essentially low carb apart from the 2 HEBs. I presume there are low carb foods on the list but most people will use them for bread and cereal. Don't be too hard on yourself - when you've been sticking to a plan for a long time you're bound to have the occasional blip.

Meg - thanks for the Asda tip, I love roast lamb and don't have it here so hopefully the offer will still be on when I get back to the UK in 10 days.

Jock - it doesn't make sense to me either. SP could be used like the 5:2 diet if you don't have any HEBs.

I'm a golf widow today, not sure what I'm going to do yet but I have the car so I have options! Lunch will be a salad wrap using a HEB and it's the golf society dinner dance tonight so need to keep syns to a minimum. I'm starving now but there's very little food in the fridge so I'll have to make do with an apple.

    Have a good day everyone.

Back again, finally decided on what I'm going to be eating today. It's another EE day:

    B - bacon, egg & mushrooms
L - tuna & sweetcorn mayo sandwich (think there's probably more sweetcorn than tuna as DH has already had a sandwich out of it and he's not keen on sweetcorn!)
D - chicken & chorizo risotto (veg will be onions, garlic & peas)

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - bread

    Syns - LTL mayo 0.5; chorizo 2.5

Have got apples, grapes & clemantines to up the SF side of things (I don't really go with S & P thing!) SF has worked for me for 4 years so can't see the point in changing things:D.

As the old saying goes "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!".

Well I just wrote a long post about how frustrated and upset I've been this weekend (incl tears etc) about my weight yoyo-ing with the same 4/5lbs and it's gone :( bah oh well I suppose it was therapeutic writing it down!

    Today:
Breakfast: tea (milk from HeA) scrambled eggs (2 eggs, dash of water) and cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and wafer this smoked ham (no oil/fat/butter)

    snack: apple

lunch: jacket potato, tuna, lettuce, tomato, cucumber. will make a mini fruit salad of melon chunks, kiwi, apple, satsuma

tea: chicken topped with bacon; chips for bf and salad plus a extra veggies for me (sweetcorn, baby carrots, see if I find anything else in the freezer)

I'm trying not having carbs (potato/pasta/rice) with both lunch and dinner.

I also definitely need to drink a lot more than I have been having :/

I have a painful/swollen gland in my neck on the right - not sure what that is about. I seem to be in the wars recently.

Wonder bairn and I have a few errands to run (Tesco for Easter Egg offer, ASDA for another offer, off to pick up some fabric I won on a Facebook page 'market night') and want them done in as shorter time as possible so we are off out :)

Morning all...have realised that it's 29 weeks to my holiday. If I lost 1lb a week between now and then that would be just over a 2 stone loss and if I go for 2lbs a week then thats just over 4 stone. I think that's pretty achievable, and would love to be 4 stone lighter - that would be exactly my perfect week so am starting this week with a renewed vigour. Got to the gym yesterday and started interval running again, planning to do this every second day and get my times up on my skipping and rowing that I do with my PT. SURELY I can lose 2lbs a week, even with all my disasters!! :rotfl:

Have just quickly skimmed over the thread this morning, well done to all the losers and hugs for anyone who didn't get what they wanted. :hello: to any noobs

    Today is EE:

b: spaghetti hoops on HEXB toast (2 syns for butter) fruit (speed) yog
s: hm leek and potato soup, salad and fruit salad
d: hm linda mccartyney sausage stew (5syns for sausages and gravy) with mash and lots of speed veggies

Think I might try and save the syns and flexisyn later in the week - no doubt I'll have one of my disasters looming!! :rotfl:

Well, today's the day. So, Shala I have nothing to report I have STS can't put it in red or bold sorry.
I thought it was too good to be true. I have had those pretend Ferrero Rocher but only 2 at a time, that's 2 Syns within my 15 each day.:D
Anyway, it's not a gain, that's the main thing. I will keep plodding along good luck to everyone else. :T:T

I don't think it's anything to do with the fake chocolates wiz, you've been amazing making those last. I think you are just one of the people that doesn't lose a regular amount every week. But you're losing overall, that's what really matters.:)

Good Luck with the WI lantanna and anyone else with WI today.

Love it!! :money:would be proud of you!

Sorry to hear you're feeling down lush and you too rummer. But you've got exactly the right mindset to write down a plan. When you get over that 'hump' of just losing a few pounds any blips won't be total sabotage (back to square one) so won't get you down so much. It's tough but you CAN do it!! We're rooting for you.

I can see lots of illogical things with SP and I've always been convinced that SW deliberately don't explain things adequately as they want us to keep paying for the magical mystery of it all.

That being said, it does make sense to me to keep some control on carbs but for me that's cutting back and keeping them in proportion/low not cutting them out completely.

Today is an on plan day for me but also a messed up Monday when we have our main meal late afternoon. So only two meals planned but any snacking if I'm hungry will be SW friendly.

    EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: SW burgers, SW chips, peas, tomatoes, mushrooms
    Syns: HP sauce
May do some fried onions with the burgers to add to Speed food.
