Morning people
Happy Mother's Day to all mums out there.
Well done losers :T.
Welcome pammy :hello:
Had a fab time at the ceili last night. We were up for quite a few of the dances (me and my bf) although I have to admit I think we were the comedy element of the night :rotfl: But what the hell we were enjoying ourselves. Food wise we had SW scotch eggs, veggie sticks with yummy garlicky quark dip, baby plum toms, walkers french fries (though these were less damaging than some other crisps) some ham sarnies with beetroot and pease pud on white buns and ham and egg quiche from butchers. Decided to leave the sausage rolls at the butchersso food not too bad in a way and I opted to be driver so stuck with diet lemonade. Overall a good night was had by all. Feel absolutely shattered today - must have been all that BM
Got washing out on line with another load on the way - don't know whether it will dry but I can try.
Having our main meal at lunch time today as DS is at home but will be fleeing to gf's once he has been fed. He bought me some lovely new slippers and a small box of the red lindt balls - nom nom.
Have a great day everyone.

Well done on your loss 32b and to wiz on your STS :TCrabapple it's sad that your Mum put all the weight back on and has given up on SW. It could be that she's not in the right frame of mind to do it again and maybe, like me, she needs something to focus her mind and get her back 'in the zone'. I've tried to stop the weight creeping back on a few times over the 12 years it took to get back to where I started, but this time I'm focused, I'm happy to take the scenic route, and I'm determined I'm going to be 'slim me' again.
I had 2 saboteurs before who weren't complimentary, telling me I looked old, gaunt, too thin, etc. they were my Mum and MIL, both gone now. Do you think your Mum is doing this to sabotage your success?
It is sad that the weight has gone back on her because she wasn't exactly slim with it off but was a lot better and no longer needed the blood pressure medication she had been on for years. I thought that me having the children would be enough incentive to stay smaller and healthier because she wants to see them grow up. She had me at 31 and I had my eldest at 36 so she's 70 now.
I keep hoping she'll start again because she does talk about it. I don't think she'll go back to group though because she stopped as her hearing was deteriorating and even now with hearing aids she struggles in a large echoey room with lots of people talking
Part of the problem I think (rather than it being deliberate sabotage) is that she's a meat eater and I'm veggie so she doesn't really think through what is SW for me. I keep telling her to stick to plain quorn because that's easy but then she looks at things and thinks it looks lovely and it's mostly veg. Like some M&S kievs - yep, mostly veg, but covered in breadcrumbs and filled with a creamy cheese sauce
Done a 2.5 mile walk this morning, even jogged a minute here and there! Got to make a casserole for this evening. Hubby likes potato in his casserole but he'll have to do without this time:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Morning everyone and a Happy Mothers Day to you mums and mams out there, I hope you all get spoiled
Today I'm determined to get my final uni essay finished so I can crack on with some revision - exam day is getting closer and closer and I'm so unprepared. The old me would have turned to comfort eating to cope but I'm so proud of myself for sticking to the plan and not bingeing on rubbish.
Today's food is:
B - shreddies (heb) with banana and milk (hea)
L - beef and veg stew (in my SC now smells yummy)
T - jacket spud with something if I'm hungry
Syns - leftover chocolate (5.5)
Have a super day everyone0 -
Wasn't going to bother with a group....got loads of info on internet, and this site and Facebook. Just wasn't sure if it would work with a small amount to lose. Did you lose the stone ok?
Yes, lost it steadily but was very slow at 0.5 - 1lb a week so probably about 4 months. Been at target for about 4 years now and have only been out of target range a couple of times.
I've just realised that my heartburn and indigestion has definitely reduced in the last 10 days since I started eating 'properly'. I used to have to carry rennies with me everywhere and would be having at least 1 a day. I still have a full packet in my handbag
[QUOTE=Crabapple; 67951731 although my mum has done SW (did really well, now doesn't bother and has put all the weight back on)
This happened to my mum too, she had a free referral to SW from the doctors for 12 weeks and lost weight - as soon as the time was up she stopped going and the weight's just piled back on. I worry about her as she has type 2 diabetes and has to be careful what she eats. My brother and SIL have lost a stone each with SW since christmas - in fact it was my mum who recommended SW to me, so I'm hoping she might join us again, we'll see.0 -
