Id a funsize crunchie last night, that's my chocolate allowance for the week. Its happening once a week only on a Thursday til I get to target.

The more I have it the more I want it, its terrible I'm better off off it, same goes for bread.

I used to consider myself a chocoholic and I do believe there's something addictive about it.

When I first did SW 10+ years ago I had a daily ration of chocolate, usually a finger of Twirl, then I decided to give it up and for a few weeks I craved it, but then went more than a year without any.

Now I can take it or leave it. I haven't had chocolate since Christmas when a friend had some ferrero rocher, and the last time before that was October.

I'm not really bothered about sweet things at all anymore and find fruit and yogurt are enough to satisfy me.

    LL :)

Hi and welcome, I think I almost wore out my scales in the first few weeks of starting the plan, jumped on them everytime I passed but found that weight can fluctuate so much during the day that I was just upsetting myself. Now I only weigh once a week.

Wow this is a very active board. I keep thinking about jumping in but not sure I'll keep up!

Joined SW 14th Jan. Lost 9lb so far :D Although I feel like I cheated this week because my weigh in is normally after I've had dinner and this week it was before...

I'm about to switch groups because my friend is joining a different one :) I find it very hard to talk to people in my group currently, I go alone and I'm quite shy and just can't quite bring myself to start a conversation and sadly nobody has made the effort with me either (not that I expect them to! But usually SOMEONE does in these situations...) but they are a nice enough bunch. My friend cant join my group because it takes 2 buses and about an hour to get here, but I can drive to the one by her in about 20 minutes.

Bought a fakeaways book, looking forward to trying some recipes from that, although notice a lot of them don't even have a serving suggestion that includes 1/3 speed foods.

Welcome to the board. You're right about it being a very active one! I've been doing SW for over 4 years now and been at target for about 3 years.

I think you're probably doing the right thing going to a group with a friend if you find it difficult to start up a conversation. Mildredd is right when she says she's started talking to new starters as it is very difficult when you first start.

You might find it helpful to post up your menu each day and someone will always be around if you've got something wrong or if you need help with anything.

It's yet another EE day for me today:

B - porridge made with water, Mullerlight banana & custard, topped with sliced banana
L - egg salad with balsamic dressing
D - fishpie using white fish, salmon, smoked haddock & prawns. Will syn the sauce as don't like the SW sauce - it always seems to split when I've tried it.

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - porridge

Syns - cornflour 1; SS milk 4. Haven't got anything else planned synwise so may just leave it at 5 to give me a bit of leeway over the week.

I'm going to make Turkey Thatch tonight. It's a recipe on the SW site and looks really nice. We are loving Turkey mince in burgers but I fancy a change tonight.

Hello, selement. I’m having a cup of tea just now – pour one for yourself.

    Great stuff, blinkered and Lois.

Good to see you again, Mrs_Ryan.

lantanna, a fun sized crunchie is just an appe- teaser!!!! You have great will power.

Great goals, Mildredd. When I set goals, they are much more short term. There is NO WAY I would jump out of a plane. It was bad enough watching my daughter’s video of her jump! She loved it, though.

Not all the time Greentiger, just feeling motivated at the minute as I really want to get to target soon and be done with it.

And trust me I was really really off the rails over Christmas so I am only really getting back to my best now.

It is so hard at times but so worth it. When I'm good I'm very good and when I'm bad I'm terrible :rotfl:
  • I know how you feel Lantanna, some people seem to like going to SW, whilst I don't mind it, I look forward to the day when I don't have to go anymore.

I have no idea how I started talking to people at my group, I just did. I think people just ask how others have done round them, but I come in fairly late just before the meeting starts.

We're doing our taster thing at the end of the month, we can only bring free food. I think I might bring some homemade pop using my soda stream.

Greentiger my sister did a skydive the weekend before I joined sw - I wanted to jump then however I was over the allowed weight so it was a bit of a torture standing around waiting and watching her ... So I will do it might have to ask the boy if one of his friends could organise it for me....

Today I've been very productive all weekend cleaning chores are done and just made a start on tidying up minis room / have now had to abandon it as she's discovered all the toys I'm binning are her new favourites and she can't bare to be parted from them funny little thing she is xxx

Have a nice pile to put on Facebook of clothes etc this weekend and will give it til end of the month before charity shopping them xxx
