Thanks Denise, it's a bit difficult to know what to do. Can't decide if I should just call a target weight when I cannot be bothered any more or it becomes too difficult to lose the weight.

It just seems less of an achievement somehow, that instead of hitting a target, I just sort of stop trying to lose any more weight.

Think I might start on doing some toning exercises in the evening though.

You've done really well Jocko and you're BMI is spot on so you don't need to lose any more weight. Your challenge now is to maintain and you may be surprised how hard it is.

Some people make the mistake of giving up whatever plan they've been following in the belief that the weight will stay off even though they're eating the foods that made them fat.

SW recommend increasing HEs rather than syns and to keep attending group every week. My advice would be to attend monthly and allow yourself some extra syns as well as HEs and rein it in if you find your weight creeping up.

These are things I should have done and didn't which is why I'm back here again, so although I can't speak from the experience of someone who has successfully maintained their weight loss, I do know why I failed.

    LL :)

Hi jock you have done so well in quite a short space of time. Many years ago my DH lost quite a bit of weight - he got to just under 10st (he's not overly tall btw) and yet he still had a bit of tummy going on. So you could lose another stone or so and you might still have a tummy. As you say (and Denise) some toning exercises might help. Once you get to where you want to be, it might be worth still popping into class every few weeks or once a month just to keep things in check and then if you do start to stray at least you will be able to reign it back in. This comes from one who knows (from personal experience) :p :rotfl:

Can anyone remember the other day we were talking of about the Great White Bread - I thought it was a hexb but have just been informed by my Consultant that it is no longer  Tweets I think it was maybe you that mentioned it when we were discussing eggy bread not working with wholemeal bread.

Well done to the latest round of losers :T:j:T:j

    Take care everyone

Hi All. Fab losses going on here and a lovely chart thank you Shala! Well done to SOTW and those who have hit their targets :j

Feeling sorry for myself today and have let bad foods creep in to make me feel better. They aren't going to fix my back so it's utterly stupid :(

Slightly more mobile than I thought I would be though, so that's good. I had a long soak in a really hot bath last night and that helped. I'm on ibuprofen and over the counter cocodamol. Drs and pharmacists get really twitchy about giving you anything if you are breastfeeding :( Back hasn't really spasmed today just keeps catching (probably only makes sense to someone who's had it happen!). I've done this before but not for a good few years.

Chin up puter oners and stay the same you will lose next week :)

Can anyone please tell me are the Slimming World ready meals bigger than the Weight Watchers ones ? :D I think the Weight Watchers ones are _pale_ and so tiny they don't fill you up or should that be fill me up :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
  • For those of you who are "hankering for a banana" - Good news on the SW website:

    10 ways with bananas
Many diets and eating plans discourage bananas but with Food Optimising bananas are Free Food so are perfect for snack attacks and sweet cravings. Go completely bananas!
If you’re struggling for banana inspiration or want to add more drama to your banana, look no further. Our ten brilliant banana ideas will give you plenty of food for thought!

    Made me smile anyway! :rotfl:

I lost 2 and a half pounds this week without the aid of a single banana! :D
(I do quite like them though)
  • Thanks all, when the meals come out, I might try a SW Ready Meal week to see how it helps with my weight loss.

We are getting a money off voucher in group for the meals.. 2 for £5 instead of £3 each.. Think I'll try the syn free sausages but the meals seem a bit on the steep side to use regularly.. Am sure curiosity will get the better of me initially tho :p

Sorry about that tweets. Will not try and guess who it was and haven't really got time to work back through posts.

I think our Consultant said that the SW meals will be around 500g and the WW ones are around 300g ish. Hope I have remembered this correctly :o :rotfl:

I don't think we will be relying on the SW ready meals (don't really do ready meals atm) but having said that I think it could be handy to keep a couple in the freezer for emergencies especially if it is all free food.

Loved your post re bananas Lucy - really made me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Well done on your loss btw :T

The poster will make themselves known ;)

Thank you I hope they are nearly double the WW ones. I have some love to shop vouchers left from buying the leggings last Friday so will use those in Iceland and buy the meals the ones I will like no pasta ones :)
