Morning lovelies, well a STS for me this week! Think I've been very lucky...Indian meal with wine Saturday night and coffee and cake on Sunday. It was a surprise treat from DS1 so I wasn't about to refuse :rotfl:

Anyway back on track this week. Food today -

Breakfast - 2 x toast (HEXB) with light chive Philly (HEXA)
Lunch - tuna, roasted tomatoes in balsamic, raspberries, strawberries and pineapple
Dinner - Roast chicken, SW roasties, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots.

I have a craving for a Turkish Delight but really grudge the syns so I'll let you know tomorrow who wins:D

Away to catch up with you all. Have a good day x

Thanks for the chart Shala; well done to everyone who has reached their target and to our SOTW:j

Have just read the last 3 pages which have appeared since I checked in yesterday afternoon! This thread moves so quickly.

Felt really peckish yesterday evening but was good - DH fried up some LO potatoes & veg with an egg. Not sure he was that impressed with me though, think he'd have preferred it if I'd just had a bit of toast like him, LOL! But no way was that happening I'd already had my HEB:A.

It's a Leftovers day today - again EE:

B - bacon, egg & mushrooms (bacon & mushrooms need using up!)
L - LO pea & ham soup, bread (HEB)
D - LO lamb tagine, LO couscous

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day as usual.

No idea about syns yet but perhaps a pink 'n' white later.

    Have a good day everyone.

  • Hi Shala - Can you stick another 4lbs on my target please. Thanks everyone for the kind words.

I'm getting to the point where I need to set some sort of target weight I think, as I don't just want to get to a weight and then stop.

At the moment I am 13st 6.5lbs on the SW scales. I started at 16st 11lb 18 weeks ago, and I've lost 46.5lbs, my BMI is 24.2.

However I've still got a bit of a belly on me, so want to lose a bit more, it's just really difficult to set a target when I've no experience of what a good weight for me would be, this is the slimmest I've been since I was 13 (I know I was trying on my old football shirts the other day).

I'm really not sure what to do.

    1. Just keep going while I'm still losing weight, and keep seeing where I am but never actually really hitting a target, I just stop when it becomes too difficult.
    2. Set a weight.

I had an ultimate goal of 12st 7lb, which is another 14.5lbs, I'm not sure if I have that to lose or not. That'd give me a perfect BMI of 22.5, but since I like to weigh myself in the morning, my SW weight would be a few lbs heavier.

Not sure if I want to set 13st 0lb as a SW weight target, which would make me about 12st 12lb in the morning.

I don't massively want to be like most of the women in my group, they pluck a number out of the air, say they want to lose 5 stone, they get to 4.5 stone and then spend the next year desperately trying to lose a final half stone they don't really need and probably isn;t realistic.

Jock - you don't have to set a target - you can just call target when you feel comfortable. No matter how much you lose you'll still have a bit of a belly unless you exercise those muscles to tone up!

I'm at target and have been for a couple of years but I've still got a bit of a belly and don't think it will ever go completely! My BMI is 22.1 when I am bang on target on SW scales (I'm a bit lower weight on my own scales).

    HTH

  • Thanks Denise, it's a bit difficult to know what to do. Can't decide if I should just call a target weight when I cannot be bothered any more or it becomes too difficult to lose the weight.

It just seems less of an achievement somehow, that instead of hitting a target, I just sort of stop trying to lose any more weight.

Think I might start on doing some toning exercises in the evening though.
  • Hoorrraaaaay!!! 1/2lb off
Feel much happier this week. We saw the packaging for the ready meals this wee. Some of the dishes look very nice. I also picked up the new magazine and there looks to be some great recipies this time so onwards and upwards I hope.
Off food shopping now so back later with a plan!

Hi fay - hope you don't mind me commenting but if you're doing EE then you could probably do with upping your speed foods a lilttle on your menu today :)

Could you set your target at 13 stone, then when you reach it see if you can stay around that weight, or see if you're happy to be that weight, and then if you need to drop it again you can.

i understand you want a target in your head as i like a target to aim towards :D

I think they've done well with the packaging for the ready meals. they look very nice.. not sure i'd buy some of them (fishy ones _pale_) but there are ones that i'll be trying as an experiment!

I'd like them to do syn-free oven chips and chocolate mousses :D:drool:

Maybe they'll have a suggestion box at some point :D
