I have one more week of maternity leave and then back to the office
I had workwear in size 18/20 (and maternity clothes in similar) from before but have chucked it. Today I went shopping for some black trousers & tops and what I bought was size 12
Cannot believe that it fits me and looks good - can't ever remember being a 12. Despite the disbelief and shock at these clothes going on and fitting nicely I'm all :j:j:j
Well done on the Size 12 clothes. It's a good feeling isn't it?iwannanicerlife wrote: »Can I join you all please? Dabbled 18 months ago and lost 7lb in 3 weeks. My head wasn't in the right place though and I then suffered a long illness where I just got heavier and heavier. Now is time to address things! I rejoined group on Thursday night and have paid for three months up front - hopefully that will keep me focused!
I need to lose just under two stone, but would like to lose another 7-10lb on top of that.
Here we go ......
Of course you can join us. Good luck with your SW journey. It's a good idea paying for a Countdown course so that you keep going to group.
If you have any questions just post and someone will be around to answer, everyone is really friendly and helpful.Morning all
Brilliant loses :T:T
Does anyone else have really rubbish sleep every Sunday nighti hate it.. every week i start my work week knackered as i can't sleep  i managed 3-4 hours last night.. i'm sure my work colleagues would appreciate me sleeping more too :rotfl: i have very low tolerance levels on a Monday!
I too have rubbish sleep on a Sunday night - really don't know why because I don't even work now! I always thought it was because I was worried about not waking up for the alarm (5am:eek:). It may still be that as DH still has to get up at that time. I probably sleep better after 5 than I do before:rotfl:.
Another EE day for me today:
B - porridge made with water, splash of HEA milk; maple syrup (1 tsp - need to check syns); melon chunks
L - LO sweet chilli prawn noodles - 1.5 syns
D - LO roast beef, bubble & squeak, HM baked beans - 0.5 syns
A bit low on veggies but will also have some more melon & a couple of satsumas.
Am trying to keep syns lowish for a bit of damage limitation after a very "synful" weekend!

:T some excellent losses on here today and we haven't had evening WIs yet.
I'm another who often sleeps badly on Sundays and I've no excuses either. Last night it was really fitful, just slept in two hour blocks and I'm feeling worn out already. So I'm taking it very easily and hope I'll find some energy to dance tonight.
crabapple, I was wondering whether you could do what lush does and try to get some exercise in your lunchbreak at work. Even a walk around the block is better than just sitting.
Another messed up Monday on the food front. DH has a series of early evening meetings which means he's not back for us to eat at our usual time.
So today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, HEA milk
L/D: savoury mince, new potatoes, cabbage, cauli & broccoli
Snacks: depends how hungry I feel later but there's cold meat and pickles available to graze on.

Wow that wasn't a family-sized bakewell was it jock for 100 syns
. Hope you get your next bit of bling on Tuesday. Daren't look at another plan - my head is already mashed with EESP. Don't think I am a convert - had two SP days this week and I dont think I will be looking at much of a loss tonight.
No it was just a giant one, the sort you'd get in a cafe in a garden centre to justify charging £3. It was probably ten times bigger than a standard Mr Kipling.0 -
Can't weigh in tonight, so could I have a STS please Shala?
I haven't had a brilliant week food wise, with a couple or three off-the wagon moments but haven't completely lost the plot. Batch cooked at the weekend, so this week should be on plan.
Tried BNS for the first time yesterday, and like it!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Well, i've decided today i'm a grumpy hallion
I'm having a narky day really and for no reason... feeling fat and frumpy today(despite being told y'day that i look like i'd lost weight)... work ones are annoying me because they're being lazy and deciding to text on their phones and talk about the weekends activities infront of clients *boss would go loco if he found out!*
mind you, dotty week is due in the near future so it could have a lot to answer for :rotfl: *cautiously avoids all chocolate * :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
how is everyone else? xI'd rather try and fail, than not try and never know
On the wagon again I go.... royally fell off.... 4.5st (63lb) by June 2016.... LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!!0 -
Afternoon all
Welcome to the newcomers and well done for the great results coming in. :Tjockosjungle wrote: »Had a bit of a bad day on Saturday, son wanted a huge cherry bakewell in a cafe, ate the cherry and I ate the rest. Probably about 100 syns.
Did you enjoy it? Sometimes a naughty treat is worth the syns as long as you don't beat yourself up for eating it.Hello everyone!
The amount of paprika to use, is that 2 tablespoons of smoked paprika??? That seems like a lot! or does it mean teaspoons? I just wanted to check before I tried it and ruined it!!!! Thanks
Hello Hannah, welcome to the thread.
Smoked paprika has more heat than normal paprika so I think 2 tbsps would be quite hot. I'd use 1 tbsp the first time, and add chilli flakes or Tabasco when it's cooked if it isn't hot enough.
Tried BNS for the first time yesterday, and like it!
It's such a versatile vegetable, we eat it all the time. You can roast it, bake it, mash it, and it makes greT soup. There's a recipe on the SW website and I made some today - lovely.
I sometimes cut one in half, de-seed, cover with foil and bake until tender, then scoop out some of the flesh, mix with ratatouille, couscous and cheese, pile it back in to the hollow, sprinkle cheese over then put it back in the oven until the cheese melts.
Shala - I always struggled to sleep on Sunday's when I had 'proper' jobs, but for some reason DH and I were both restless last night. He had golf today and although it wasn't a particularly early start I think he was a bit worried about sleeping through the alarm. Not sure what was keeping me awake tho!
Have a good evening everyone.
