Crabapple, you’re going to wow everyone at work. Well done.
Hiya, iwannanicerlife and yellowbird.
Well done, hwoolgar, mookie, Daisy and wizkid.
Sending hugs, Mildredd.
Hope you feel better soon, TIE.
angelbob, thanks for making me laugh.
maman, our official motto (from the old old club badge is “Touch ane, touch a’”. The town motto is “Better meddle wi’ the de’il than the bairns o’ Falkirk.” They are both certainly combative, but no SW there, I’m afraid – unless I take up a combat sport, and I’m too feart/lazy.
Belated congratulations, GoneSouth.
A good day was had in as far as all the invitations got made.
But it wasn’t so good in respect of eats.
Breakfast: WW strawberry tart yogurt
Lunch: bean stew (leftovers)
Crafternoon tea (which also served as the rest of my food for the day): seeded thins with cheese savoury filling, white sub rolls with coronation chicken filling, hm mini scones with hm spiced plum jam, hm pear (finally used up those pears that stubbornly stayed hard) & ginger loaf
Tomorrow’s WI is going to be a challenge methinks. I’m going to have to stand on the scales on one leg!Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

I am waaaaaay behind on the thread. I was without internet for a few days during the week so still trying to catch up. Congratulations to everyone who had a loss this weekBack on the slimming world wagon 04.01.18
Total lost 1st 3.5lbs :j Week 40 -
Morning everyone.
Welcome iwannanicerlife and congrats on your losses hwoolgar and whiplashy (how did you get 5lb off in one week?! that's amazing!)6 days
Mind you one of my friend's DIL who is a teacher worked til the day before
You going back FT or part time?
3 days a week, but that's what I've worked since I returned after having my eldest. It wasn't meant to be 6 days, I was supposed to have another couple of weeks chilling before his due date - he had other ideas!:T
That's brilliant, well done!
You must feel really different being smaller than you've ever been, what's it like, do you have more energy, more confidence? Any negatives?
LL
It does feel different, but like I said, I'm not sure my head has caught up yet! I'm still waiting to have more energy - small children that wake in the night kind of put paid to that :rotfl: Definitely feel more confident, although I'm still a little uncomfortable with people commenting on it.
Negatives - without clothes you can see the damage done over years. Being overweight for a long time plus two children, its stretch marks and wobbly saggy bits everywhere! I guess it could be a lot worse, but I'm definitely not going to be in bikinis even if I can now get them in my size :rotfl:
I need to do some exercise really which will probably help with energy levels and might tone me a bit, but it's hard to find the time. Days are all about looking after the children and trying to get a bit of housework done and once they are in bed of an evening I just want to sleep myself.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

-5lbs for the challenge please Shala
Amazing Whiplashy :T
Hope your return to work goes smoothly for you Crabapple. I still find it difficult to accept compliments on weight loss. Don't know why as we have worked bl00dy hard to get where we are (still got a long way to go) so why shouldn't we feel proud of what we have achieved. Often wondered if it is a case that we are embarrassed at how we had let ourselves put so much weight on in the first place.
Busy morning - taking DS to garage, dentist, check in on Mum, washing (where does it all come from) and then some housework.
Have a good day everyone.

That's probably it - no-one ever comments on the people who are permanently slim, just those of us who pile the pounds on and then finally manage to shift a chunk of it
Another downside I've thought of is that I've obviously come a long way with just over 4 stone gone, but it's not the end of the road. I am still officially overweight (although I was obese so loads better!). Got a few more pounds to shift to get a healthy bmi then a few more to target (cos I want my target range to be under the bmi threshold). Then it's all going to be about maintaining and as someone who has repeatedly got big in the past I have to make sure I don't do that again.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Mildredd hugs hope things get a little bit less stressful for you.
crabapple congratulations on the size 12's.
Welcome to all the newbies.
Congratulations to all those who have lost this week, well done to everyone else for trying and good luck for next week.
Don't think I am going to have a loss this weekend. I have only been on it 75% this week which is just not good enough. I've had white bread, lorne sausage, choc chip cookie, wine and crisps thiis weekend - why oh why when I was so in the game last week!
Anyway I will try and achieve damage limitation and maybe get a sts. Will take a litre of water to work and see if I can flush some of that fat away.:rotfl:0 -
Morning all, just a quick post to say that I managed to lose the princely sum of 1/4lb this week. I won't be winning any slimmer of the week awards with that!! Still, it is a loss, so head down and keep at it.
Well done Whiplashy!! What a fantastic loss.
Good luck on your first day back Crabapple, and congratulations on the size 12. Know what you mean about clothes hiding a multitude of sins - not a cat in hells chance you will ever get me in a bikini!!
Hi to the newbies
Many thanks for the chart Shala, looking forward to seeing our total loss this week
Hugs to all that need them
Now I had best get on and do some work!!!0 -
