P.S did you mention you have a fitbit? I just bought a fitbit charge?! I am hoping it motivates me! xx

Hi Lilt :hello: Yes I thought 4lbs was a bit much, not very experienced with losing weight. :o You must be so chuffed with losing the 3lbs and knowing that it's all a fat loss as well. :T

I agree with the pharmacist that you do amazingly well given the pain you're in. :T

I'm trying to get myself into an exercise routine but can be difficult with shift work. The hardest part will be making myself exercise after early shifts - up at 5am and home at 3pm - think if I do it as soon as I get home then that will be best. If I sit down I'll not move again. :p

Have done 30 mins of yoga today and find I'm really enjoying it and do feel better afterwards. Was doing some balancing poses yesterday and the day before and getting really frustrated because I couldn't do it perfectly and at the most advanced level. :o :rotfl: One of my character defects is being impatient and wanting to be able to do everything perfectly first time, then flying into a rage because I can't.

I also have to watch my knees as hurt one years ago and it still gets sore. My mum has some arthritis in her knees and is getting a partial knee replacement and dodgy knees seem to run in her family - so far it's 50/50 with her siblings who have had partial/full knee replacements. Currently looking into exercises to strengthen my knees as don't really want a knee replacement when I'm in my 50s.

Have put two washings on so far as well today (towels now in the TD) as well as rescuing the bin in the pouring rain after the bin men abandoned it in the street.

Ordered the food shop online to get delivered on Friday evening as too lazy to go round the corner. :o Will make leek and potato soup today as have leeks in the fridge to use up. Also planning on making tomato and basil bread to go with risotto for dinner. Will see how that turns out.

Also cut both cats claws as they were getting quite sharp. Big cat was very wriggly as he couldn't see the younger cat and wanted to know what he was up to. Wee sod was behind me trying to climb up my back, could just feel his paws on my shoulders. Younger cat was very good getting his claws cut though he needs brushed as well and he will attack the brush.

Poor DH back to work today after near enough 3 weeks off so he will be struggling.

Lilt, I don't have a fitbit but DH does and he was in love with it! He had it on too tight though and it caused a skin reaction so he had to leave it off until his skin healed and he's not put it back on yet.

I think they are a good motivation though, someone I work with just got one and he is always telling us how many steps he's walked that day and is having a competition with his wife to see who can get the most steps every day. :rotfl:

Haha!! Your poor DH and his skin reaction. I will have to watch that but I think I have such tiny bird wrists that I might actually struggle to get it tight enough. Am happy though and looking forward to telling everyone my steps too ;)

Cutting cats claws... Argh! So I had a cat. Her name was Ecko (I had a dog called Diesel too.. brand names seem to be my thing) and she had the world sharpest claws! I eventually got some little pink rubber covers. I used to have to cut her claws, then GLUE the darn things over her claws by pushing into the pads to make them pop out! If she didn't have these she ripped my landladys carpet, my net curtains (she was forever climbing to the top of 10 ft high windows and getting stuck so I had to get the stepladder!) and curtains... towels.. Anything she could climb or mash basically. She was really good at getting them cut when she was small but when she got a bit older she was a nightmare. I had to roll her inside a towel with just the paw I wanted sticking out :rotfl: my poor cat... Bless her.

I am also a perfectionist who wants to get things right at an absurd difficulty immediately. I also usefully fly off the handle and give up when I can't do it... :rotfl: And worse yet, I have passed this trait onto Jellytot!

Must be towels day as I have mine on the radiators trying to dry but it has just started to throw it down outside :( methinks I will have a damp house tonight!

Tomato and basil bread is making my mouth water. I will be having baked cod with parmesan on a bed of green green green :rotfl: x

:rotfl: Lilt your cat sounds like she was a character! One of my old lady cats used to bite me every time I cut her claws and I mean sink her teeth into my hand.

:rotfl: It's hard being a perfectionist, poor Jelly! My mum says I was always the same from a very young age. I do tend to give up on things when I get frustrated but am trying not to have unrealistic expectations, not really going well as the yoga balance frustration shows. :rotfl:

Tomato and basil bread turned out pretty well and have half left over for tomorrow with the leek and potato soup.

Did an 8 minute HIIT (high intensity interval training) workout on y0utube this morning as an alternative to the cross trainer as knee still feeling a bit dodgy. It was HARD. I had to keep pausing it and it was only 8 mins. :o:rotfl:

Then did another 30 min yoga video but there was more blinking balancing and I'm rubbish at it. Seems to aggravate my dodgy knee as well, just kept falling over, so I sat and watched that bit instead. :rotfl:

Feeling knackered so not going to do too much today, up at 5am tomorrow for another 7 days at work. *cries*

    Tired, tired, tired. :(

Got home from work and cleaned out the litter box, emptied the wee food bin into the big food bin (eeww), chucked stuff in the recycling bin, brushed the hairy cat and fought him off at the same time  and then hoovered up the resulting cat hair cloud. Watered the plants (the flower seeds I planted seem to be sprouting but not my chillies :()Put away the dry washing and put on a tea towel/cleaning cloth wash. The glamour of being a grown up. :rotfl:

Then did 15 mins of yoga as too tired and sore from yesterday's balancing palava to manage much more. Have done a couple of surveys as well now.

Waiting for food shopping to be delivered then planning to eat and relax with DH before an early night as back up at 5am again tomorrow.

Hi DFOD :hello: feeling a bit better today, had an hour's nap when I got home from work and then did 35 mins of yoga and had a nice hot shower. Heading to bed shortly for another early morning start.

Did the ironing tonight so that was 7 white uniform shirts ( mine & DH's). Had a nice dinner of pork escalope, sweet potato wedges, courgette & avacado and mozzarella salad. Yum.

Stressful day at work and will be worse tomorrow, not looking forward to it. Engineering work and rail replacement buses.:mad:

Meeting some friends for lunch after work but driving so no alcohol for me. Will be home early as want to try for an early night, hate going to bed early though as I'm more of a night owl.

Kitties are camped on my bed giving me the evil eye and daring me to try and go to sleep.:rotfl:

Work wasn't as bad as I thought yesterday, went out for lunch afterwards and had a nice time until I got back to my car and had been blocked in!

The person behind me had only left about an inch of space between the bonnet of their car and the back of mine, overhanging into my space and another person had parked in front of me half in my space, half on the pavement (as there was no actual parking space in front of me ).

So there was no room for me to move to get out, honestly could have cried. Luckily the moron in front sauntered back to his car within 5 mins (a delivery driver for the chippy & there were loads of actual spaces he could have parked in rather than blocking me in completely and being half on the pavement to boot!). What is wrong with some people??

So that upset me as I'm an anxious driver at the best of times. :(

Work was okay today but just wish I didn't have another 3 shifts to go plus an overtime shift next Sunday.

Did 20 mins of yoga and 10 mins HIIT again today. Felt a bit like an elephant jumping around. :o
