Hi Lilt, the clouds are back again but hoping the sun will come out soon.:(
Yes hate swimming costumes/bikinis but has been nice to swim in the outside pool as only shared between 3 apartments & 1 cottage. Have only seen 1 other person using the pool and he was gone again before we went down so had it to ourselves. The water has been cold but not as bad once you're in - it's the getting in I hate. The air is warm so not so bad but a bit more sun would be nice before braving the pool today.

I am a jump in and get on with it kinda girl with pools. As long as you keep moving it is fine, and that is great for exercise purposes! I think I might sneak to the gym tomorrow once my duties with dropping Jellytot off and collecting the shopping are done. I really want to be in that atmosphere pushing myself.
Enjoy the rest of your relaxation time. I am still so jealous! xx

Got back home this morning, happy to be home and have had two furry shadows all day but still have a bit of the post holiday blues. Not back to work until Monday though so a few days to adjust.
A nice breezy, sunny day today so managed to get all the holiday clothes washed & dried. Not looking forward to ironing it all though.
A bit worried that I've gained weight over the holiday despite doing a lot of walking & some swimming. Will be back on MFP tomorrow and planning on some yoga and probably a go on the exercise bike as well in the morning. Too scared to weigh myself, will be so upset if I've put the weight I lost back on.
Will visit my mum in the afternoon tomorrow but apart from that we don't have any plans.
Have caught up a bit with my surveys & have paid some survey money off my CC (£36). Have also balance transferred £250 from the CC with the 0% period ending at the start of Sept to the card which has 0% interest until next June. Now have to pay £750 off in 3 months.
Am due another £30 from one of my survey companies & have some money due from Quidco as well. Am around £13 off payout on Y0uG0v as well. :T
Oh also got my train tickets refunded as we had booked a flight instead due to potential strike, didn't even need to argue with them. :j Flight worked out cheaper & the train ticket amount was refunded back onto the CC I paid with. :TSuccess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Did 10 mins on the exercise bike this morning and 20 mins of yoga. Weighed myself and looks like I've only put 1lb back on
Just relieved it's not more.
Went to Ald! & bought plenty of vegetables and salad stuff. Thinking of making mushroom soup tomorrow as have mushrooms in the freezer to use up. Also planning on making slow cooker sausage casserole, again using up freezer stuff. Need to be more disciplined with food (both using up what we have & in the eating of it).
Visited my mum with DH and had dinner, was nice to see her.
Haven't braved the ironing yet, the pile is nearly at my knee.
Got a king size Jersey cotton bed set for the spare room in navy as Ald! had them reduced from £16.99 to £12.99 which I thought was a real bargain & really needed another set. Might have a spare fitted sheet I can use with it but will have to look, could do with a new duvet altogether for the spare bed but no real rush.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Did another 40 mins of yoga this morning whilst DH got everything going in the slow cooker for the sausage casserole. We had it for dinner with mashed potato and it was yum.
Made some of the jalapeño egg poppers Lilt was talking about on her diary and had two with salad for my lunch. They are lovely and quite filling.
Tackled the huge pile of ironing, did half before dinner and half after, probably took near enough 2 hours altogether but all done and put away now. :j
Also spent a while doing more surveys which wasn't fun but needed to be done.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Lying in bed with the kitties and my iPad mini, should really get up but am enjoying being lazy too much. :rotfl: Also it's raining and blowing a gale outside which is horrible.
My stomach muscles are killing me after yesterday's yoga so having a wee rest today.
Going to visit some friends tonight & may stay over so both DH and I can have a drink. The only problem with that is the friends' 3 yo & 22 mo will come in and jump on our heads in the morning. I think I know why they said we could stay over if we wanted. :rotfl:
Meant to be making banana bread to take with us so will need to get up soon to do that, have my breakfast & jump in the shower. My plan after that is to relax some more until we go out tonight.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Morning!!!
Glad you had such a good holiday and only put 1 pound on. As the men in my family are always telling me, they can put on more than that in one meal and lose 3 times that going to the toilet... :rotfl: TMI!!
Yay for the poppers!! I find them really filling. I only eat one for my breakfast but have it with a bulletproof coffee on work days to keep me going to 1pm without snacking! Which is unheard of :rotfl:
Sounds like a lovely weekend planned, and lol at the kids jumping on you. Good practiceor effective birth control :rotfl:
I wish my tummy muscles were killing me. Must try harder to push them today!!And must do my ironing
:o:o to your knee? Mines about at my head :rotfl: xx

Hello Lilty, men are so charming aren't they?:rotfl:
I've been trying a handful of almonds at work between lunch & dinner (on late shift) to stop myself eating biscuits & it has (mostly) worked. Always drink loads of water at work as well as the air conditioning really dries my eyes out. May take a popper to work for lunch & see how it goes.
Kids jumping on heads :rotfl: they are lovely but so much hard work. Really don't know if I could ever handle it, owning cats is bad enough - they have been following me everywhere since we came back from our holiday & were even camped out in the bathroom whilst I was in the shower.
Banana bread has been made, although had to entrust it to DH whilst I was in the shower & it looks a bit burnt on top. DH's defence was that all the banana bread he's ever seen looks that way. Really??? :rotfl:
:rotfl: at your ironing pile, it was making me harassed every time I walked past so just had to do it so I didn't need to look at it anymore.
Cats are not going to be happy if we stay out tonight. :cool:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Hey you!!
Cats obviously missed you bless them. They will calm down! I raised a non-clingy child (excepting times like now when she is unwell, but she has still taken herself off to bed and gone to sleep without me) but my friend is raising one who won't sleep unless she is ON friend... 5 months old and she rules the roost completely.
My banana bread always looks very dark on top so don't worry. It tastes fab. I have a very efficient oven so the top goes brown before the middle is cooked, I have to decrease the heat all the time. it cooks 2 roast chickens in 1 hour 15 minutes :rotfl:
Still not touched the ironing. Would attempt it now but the ironing board squeals when you open it up (older than me!) and so it would wake madam... Excuses excuses.
I've been told to eat macadamias instead of almonds/other nuts due to the omega 3:6 ratio. Blooming expensive though and not easily found in the supermarket. I bought online at H&B when on buy one get one half price sale. £17 on 800 grams, but then they sent me 2 boxes due to their smashing a coconut oil jar! xxx

Had a nice time at our friends and the kids didn't even jump on us in the morning. :j They did follow me to the bathroom and shout for me through the door until I opened it for them mind you. :rotfl: They watched me putting my make up on with great interest.
Banana bread was fine despite the dark top. That sounds like a super efficient oven Lilt.
Cats were pleased to see us when we got back, oldest cat was desperate to sit on my knee and cuddle. :rotfl:
I'll have a try of macadamia nuts when the almonds I have run out then, thanks for the tip. I've been taking omega 3 capsules as apparently it helps with dry eyes which I've had since I got laser eye surgery a few years ago, I need to use eye drops (both gel and liquid) several times a day, especially if I'm in an air-conditioned environment. Not sure if it helps the dry eyes but it's good for lots of other things as well so can't hurt to try it.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
