Good kids!! And yes Jellytot often asks if she can put my mascara on. ... NO!!! - she means on me!!! She also won't let anyone go to the toilet alone. She stands shouting and knocking asking what you're doing :rotfl:
Yay for the banana breadgood job! And yes it really is. My mum is very jealous of it. Hers can take 4 hours to cook one chicken let alone 2 :rotfl:
Bless the cats. They miss you!!
I take Omega 3 capsules as well. Amongst other things. Holl and Bar love me :rotfl: - welcome for the tip on macadamias. They aren't my favourite nut. I got an email telling me how to make my own mixed nut butter the other day. Premise is... take nuts... add a plain unflavoured oil such as almond oil, or rapeseed. And a sprinkle of seasalt then blend until creamy. I've got a whole earth one that is cashew, hazelnut and almond which is lovely but cost an arm and a leg so might use up some of the mountains of nuts I have that I bought pre learning about macadamias!!great little energy boost, and surprisingly nice mixed into hot coconut milk!
Sorry your laser surgery left you with dry eyes. Are you at least contact/glasses free?! xx

Have completed 2 days back at work & now have 2 days off. Work was ok, felt like I'd never been away.
Going out today with my colleagues for a retirement lunch, one of them has had to retire through health reasons as diagnosed with motor neurone disease a few months ago. He's now in a wheelchair and has lost the use of his hands completely. We've got him a big card, a helium balloon and have had a collection for him so he can do some of the things on his bucket list whilst he still can.
Lilt :rotfl: at Jelly wanting to put your mascara on you! Poked out eyes, anyone?:rotfl: Friends 3yo was brushing my hair for me and was fascinated with my fold up handbag brush.
My mum has been using nut butters - she really likes them, may give it a go then.
Ah yes one cat at least misses me, I think it's because he is Siamese and they are generally very people orientated cats and just love attention. My British is a lot more independent but lets you know if he wants his tummy tickled i.e. throws himself down at your feet & rolls over with all his paws in the air. :rotfl:
Yes the laser surgery worked in that I have 20/20 vision now. :j I can live with dry eyes, would rather be able to see! My prescription was just getting worse and worse, was so short sighted I could only see a few feet ahead without glasses or contact lenses. :eek:Was also getting to the point that my eyes couldn't tolerate contacts anymore, too drying.
So I went for the laser surgery and just wished I'd done it sooner, had been wearing glasses since I was 8, so amazing to not need them anymore after 20 years. Still kept waking up & scrabbling around on the bedside table for my glasses for months though. :rotfl: Also kept trying to push my (not there anymore) glasses up my nose & poking myself in the eye. :eek:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Hahaha!! I am imagining you poking yourself in the eye trying to push your glasses up! I am, supposed to wear glasses for close up stuff as I am terribly long sighted, but because my prescription is only for close up work, the second I stand up I can't see properly and get disorientated so I live with the slightly tired eyes I get occasionally and put my glasses on as a fashion statement sometimes... but they always end up on top of my head where I push them up to see and then forget about them :rotfl:
Awww siamese! Bet he cost a bomb. I had a normal short haired brit and she was mental, neurotic and very skittish. She did love her cuddles though! Until I got pregnant and then I was carrying the devil and she hated me!
Boo to feeling like you've never left work. It is good in one way but a real pain in the other!! I am so sorry to hear about your colleague. It is a horrible disease.how sweet of you all to try and get some of his bucket list done!!
Big hugs! x

Lunch on Wednesday was good, my retiring colleague was in good spirits and seemed to enjoy himself. :T
Must admit I was a bit half cut by the time I got to my chiropractor appointment later. :rotfl: Dropped in to see my mum on the way home and my sister and twin nieces were there so was good to see them as well.
Spent yesterday sunbathing in the garden - well I had to keep sitting under the parasol as would have burnt to a crisp otherwise. DH went to the butchers for some nice sausages & burgers which he then put on the BBQ.
Back at work today for 7 early shifts, 1 down, 6 to go now. Got home and did 15 mins on the exercise bike and 25 mins of yoga. Also did the big weekly cat litter clean out, yuck.
Lilt, my chocolate point was fairly expensive, yes but my British was more expensive! We got our first two cats free as they were ex-breeding queens (1 Siamese and 1 oriental) and we liked the orientals so much we got a chocolate point kitten 6 months later.
We got the British kitten as they are much hardier than orientals which have now been in-bred a bit too much and seem to get a lot of cancers etc. We lost our oldest cat to mammary cancer at 12yo and the other oriental girl died of kidney disease less than 6 months later at 11yo. We were both so heartbroken and just thought a hardier breed would be better for our next kitten. My chocolate point boy is 7yo now, just hope he lives a lot longer than my girls did.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Hello lovely!! You've done your first 2 shifts 5 to go now!!
Can't believe how expensive some cats are. If I was a bit crazy I would buy a Bengal... LOVE their amazing fur but they disappear like anything around here if you let them out even once. Too marketable.
I've always liked Manx cats... weirdly :rotfl: hoping your boy lives to a ripe old age with no illnesses.
I am trying to work myself up to doing some pilates and some weights. I need to feel like my muscles have worked today. But I just can't make myself move!!
So miss having a garden. Could have sunbathed and BBQ'd to my hearts content todayxx

Just heading off to bed as back up at 5am again tomorrow. It's also my second wedding anniversary tomorrow so a bit pants I have to work but at least it's early shift rather than late.
Am fairly achey today after my work- out yesterday so only did some gentle yoga today. Also cleaned the bathrooms and gave the living room a quick tidy, then watched more episodes of Vikings - it does get better!
Yes Lilt buying a particular breed can be so pricey - Bengals are beautiful :smileyhea . My cats are house cats as too worried about cat-napping & their general safety to let them out. :rotfl: Manx cats are odd but loveable.
We're just getting used to having a garden after years of living in flats, so nice to be able to go and sit out when the weather is good.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Happy Wedding Anniversary!!!!
:D Is 2 years card??
Hope work breezes by and DH spoils you rotten when you get backstrictly no yoga tomorrow Mrs
My cat was indoors as we are in a flat and my first place was sandwidged between 2 huge roads. That was never happening. I can't believe how I just spelt sandwiched. I am leaving it like that for a reminder to myself to concentrate. And cut my talons. :rotfl:
Sleep tight!! xx

Second wedding anniversary already, feel very grateful to be married to my best friend who is always there for me. We've been together for 12 years and still have a great time hanging out, he is a lovely husband.
Work was okay today although was a bit grumpy for the first couple of hours, think it's lack of sleep.
Came home and ironed the work shirts whilst DH made dinner, then chilled for a bit - no yoga.We had roast chicken, roast potatoes, courgette & carrot which was lovely.
DH bought us a chocolate dipping selection as a treat for our anniversary which was lovely but very fat - we didn't make much of a dent to be honest. No wonder I'm not losing weight.
Lilt I think 2 years is cotton but not sure. Sandwich is a weird word to spell. :rotfl:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
I missed your anniversary congrats! I love the sound of your dinner. Well done.
I adore Bengals. My great aunt and uncle have one called treacle I think that says alot about him. He's a complete cutie. x

Did another 15 mins on the exercise bike after work on Monday and 25 mins of yoga. Was quite achey after that, am so unfit and the weight just doesn't want to come off.
:(
Yesterday I had a bit of a lazy day when I came home from work and just chilled out with the cats for a bit. Did some hoovering and stuck a washing on though.
Did 30 mins of yoga today after work and just feel really sleepy. Need to go out again to feed my mums' cats as she's staying at my sisters' and my brother is working away. Will do that when DH gets home. Speaking of cats I have one on my knee and the other lying on top of my PC tower.
One more shift tomorrow then two days off, one overtime shift and then another two days off. :j
Hi Brightspark :hello: thanks for the congrats.I would love a Bengal at some point, they are gorgeous, aww Treacle is such a nice name.
My next cat will be a Devon Rex though as we are friendly with a lady who breeds them and she is desperate for us to have one of her kittens.I think my boys need a lady cat to keep them in line. :rotfl:
