Was too lazy to update yesterday - had a pounding headache all day at work so just came straight home and had a nap on the couch for an hour. I had a blanket so of course the cats wanted to sit with me. Youngest cat just kept attacking me whenever I moved under the blanket. :rotfl:

When DH got home I got up and we made a tuna pasta bake and had it with salad & garlic bread for dinner. Was very yummy and had a portion left over which went into the freezer for another day. We also finished off the mixed berry crumble I made the other day so was quite full. :o

Did the white shirt ironing last night as well as was too lazy to do it on Sunday.

Work was okay today, came home and did 30 mins of Yogalates, had my shower and have stuck a washing on. Will eat soon as starving and DH working late.

Yuck, I feel terrible. Started feeling all hot and achey last night and developed a cough, woke up every hour and when I got up at 5am my side of the bed was soaked from where I'd been sweating. Have had terrible achey joints all day still but am dosed up on cold & flu tablets now so feeling a bit better.

Work was luckily fairly quiet so didn't have to concentrate for long periods at a time. Am going to have a nap shortly and try to get rid of this bug.

Hi all, thanks for popping in, just started to feel a bit more human today.

Thought I was picking up on Thursday and went out for lunch after work but was then feeling awful again by the time I got home.

On Friday DH went out in the afternoon & was literally out for 12 hours whilst I felt steadily worse on the couch with the headache, cough, aching, going hot and cold etc. My mum sent my brother up with tablets for me which I think helped.

Saturday was beyond awful, literally dragged myself to the couch & dozed on and off all day with DH bringing me drinks. Was sick because my stomach couldn't handle the pain killers etc. :( Had all of the above symptoms plus sore throat and a blocked nose and just couldn't move because I was so exhausted. Had to miss my friend's 30th birthday party as literally couldn't move. :(

Feeling a lot better today but still not great. Managed a bath which made me feel better, nice to be clean again. Only had one 2 hour nap today so that's progress. Unfortunately the horrible illness has already ruined 3 days of my 5 days off. Will probably recover in time to go back to work. :(

  • Always the blinking way isn't it.. sorry to hear you are feeling so rotten..but hopefully you are on the way up again now..

A bath or a shower always takes it out of me if I'm poorly, but you do feel better after it!

  • I always do the same thing, going downhill the second I finish work and then being right as rain again as soon as I have to go back. I think we force ourselves to be *ok* for just a day longer, and then as soon as we finish work and have nothing to focus on, it all piles in.

Glad you are feeling a bit more human but that sounds horrible. Sensitive stomach if the painkillers made you sick hun :(

    Get well soon!!! x

Have felt better today but still not right so still been resting. Feeling a bit restless now tbh as not left the house since I came home on Thursday.

Yes DFOD & Lilt it's typical that this happens on my days off. DFOD I was knackered after my bath yesterday, was panting as though I'd been jogging.

Yes Lilt, my stomach can be very sensitive with tablets, luckily I don't need to take them often as they seem to irritate me if I take them for more than a couple of days. I was a terrible child for throwing up due to an over sensitive stomach. One of my mum's favourite stories was that when I was around 3 or 4 I was sick in the park but only really started crying because the pigeons were eating my sick & it was mine not theirs!:rotfl:

Aah, just read the sad update in KissJen's diary from her son that she passed away last week. I didn't post on her diaries but I always enjoyed reading them, she was always so positive and a real go-getter. So sad.

And I've been feeling sorry for myself over a virus.
