Hi, just read your post from.way back when, when you lost 2 cats. It's never `just a cat`I am crying, so sad but tomorrow the sun will shine xI have borrowed from my future self

Hi Dansmam, thanks for your post, you're right, when you have a pet they become part of your family & they all have their own wee personalities.
We still think and talk about our two old lady cats a lot. Mostly they are good & funny memories that are nice to think about but I'll always regret not being able to be with the second girl when she was PTS. Poor thing was at the emergency vet & was just too ill.
We thoroughly enjoy the two boy cats we have & enjoy them, which helps a bit I think.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Hey you
Just dropping in to say woohoo for holiday! We all need a break. Me less than most it would seem. I haven't been away since 2008... :rotfl: one day...
I am trying to save my council tax but right now had of it has been swallowed by nappies  hugs xx

:hello: Thanks for the whoop DFOD, back up to a whole 55p on OP already. :rotfl:
Thanks for the holiday woohoo Lilt.Really looking forward to it actually and DH is very excited. He wants to go everywhere and do everything - I had to remind him we're there to relax as well!:rotfl:
Was quite lazy after work yesterday and just chilled out apart from doing the white washing and ironing. We had leftover roast potatoes & yorkies so used them up with pork schnitzel that was in the freezer. Was yummy.
Not up to too much tonight, still knackered. Prodded DH into chasing our energy supplier as they haven't been charging us the right amount for our gas/electricity. He was in an online chat and they haven't been billing us for electricity since we joined them last August. They said that the account hadn't been set up right. Now need to wait 28 days for the bill.
Some better news is that it's payday on Friday. :j And I also claimed £15 Amaz0n vouchers from one of my survey sites. Don't know what I'll use the vouchers for yet.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Hi all, have been so knackered that I've been too lazy to post.
Was payday yesterday so made my extra payment to the CC as need to clear it by the end of August which is when the 0% interest runs out. Total debt including loans is now under 20k. :j We have also started putting money aside to pay for the holiday.
Back up to £1 on OP so need to remember to keep checking that.
Had a nice day out in town with DH yesterday after we dropped his car off for its service. No cost to us as included in the lease plan.Bought some clothes for DH as had some vouchers and got a couple of tops for myself from Primarni. The jeans saga continues. Everywhere I looked it was skinny jeans! What about those of us whose legs look like fat sausages in skinny jeans?
Also used the M&S online bra fitter thingy the other night as my bras are not comfy and knew I needed a different size. There was 20% off bras and I had a couple of small amounts on gift cards to use up. Anyway, followed the instructions on measuring and answered the questions & it recommended a smaller cup size but a bigger back size so ordered some bras for work in that size. Collected them & when I tried them on they were actually a good fit so will get a few more in that size.:T
Needed a lazy day today as so tired from work & a long day yesterday. DH's friends are visiting tomorrow so will need to give the house a quick clean and tidy before they arrive. We agreed on the make your own pizzas from Mr A as they are about £4 and will just buy some frozen chips and make a salad. I might make filled cheesy potato skins as well.
DH is making me a nice dinner tonight as we don't really do Valentines Day. Just chilling on the couch with the cats and helping DH when he needs a hand. He's very good to me. :ASuccess is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. I also have problems with jeans as I seem to have calves bigger than most men:eek:
I do wear skinnies occasionally and just try to forget what I look like.
I am favouring Karen Millen jeans at the moment - I found some at a jumble sale and brought them. They were a lovely fit on the waist and a good length (I am also short) so now as I replace my old jeans I am buying KM off ebay for less than £10 - most brand new ones are £60+
I wonder if you might have a Karen Millen concession in your local Debenhams and you could try on some jeans and then buy from ebay?0 -
Hi EE thanks for the suggestion, I'll have a look. There might even be a KM shop in the town actually so will have a look & try some on next time I'm in the vicinity.
I really struggle to get some types of skinny jeans over my calves at all, some just won't go so I tend to avoid them if at all possible! Just seemed to be the only type of jeans I saw the other day. I think slim leg are more flattering for me but I also like high waisted jeans so can be a difficult combination to find.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Ah KM... I love that shop, gorgeous dresses and the jeans are lovely and soft! I really need to lose weight. I have outgrown my last 2 new pairs of jeans. Both of which are skinny of course because it is all I can find! - it is depressing fighting to get them over my legs chunk by chunk. Have given up and gone back to jeans I last wore when I was with my ex, fat and depressed. A stark reminder if ever there was one that I should drop some weight.
I might have to look for KM jeans on the bay once I have a size I am comfortable with! Thanks EE!
Am loving the Amazon card payouts sashybo. Someone on my challenge is trying for a cash neutral christmas, by earning vouchers, selling stuff etcI like the idea, but I am terrible, that when I make money I like sticking it in a pot that isn't necessarily dedicated to something, just so I feel a bit richer even though I don't spend it... lol.
Hope you're ok anyway!!Monday again, and half term so am trying to keep the terror occupied!! xx
