PMSL Sashybo... that is hilarious!!!
My mums favourite one to trot out about me is that I always used to take forever feeding the ducks at Matlock park... so one day she walked off with my sister and dad and left me, telling me to 'throw it all in!' when I complained. One very loud splash water, she turned and came running, because I had disappeared under the disgusting slimy green water full of diesel and duck poo. I came back up, (and I remember them coming for me) shrieking "MUM, MUM, THE DUCKS ARE GOING TO EAT ME!" and she dragged me out by the scruff of my neck. When she asked what happened, I said I threw the bread and 'forgot to let go' successfully launching myself into the water :rotfl:
Big hugs, sleep tight!! xx

:rotfl: I obviously had issues with sharing. :rotfl: I was a right little madam, also refused to wear trousers as a toddler because "only boys wear trousers" God knows where I got that one from.
:rotfl: Lilty, forgot to let go! :rotfl: I remember having to rescue my nephew from a gang of marauding swans when he was only around 2 or 3 - he was feeding the ducks & then the swans muscled in & started getting out of the water to get more bread. I had to grab him & run and he still wouldn't let go of the bag of bread. :eek:Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Feeling a bit brighter today but back at work tomorrow, whole long weekend ruined.
Hoping to get a bit of housework done today as it has piled up a bit. DH will put washings on and even sometimes into the tumble dryer but after that he doesn't seem to know what to do. :rotfl: Putting clean washing away or ironing it seems beyond him! The bathrooms need cleaning as well so if I can get those jobs done it won't be too bad.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Managed to clean the bathrooms and get all the ironing done. :T DH made lasagne for dinner which was lovely.
Still not feeling great and would rather not go back to work tomorrow but need to.I had previously put in for a couple of days off next week so hopefully will get them and will only have to work 5 days instead of 7.

Thanks Lilt.
Work not too bad today but it's snowing again & weather is meant to be pants all weekend.Just hope this doesn't mean work will be a nightmare. Oh well hopefully only 4 more shifts until days off (please let me get my days off!).
Had to run to the shops before work to buy a birthday card for my MIL, why is it always me that has to do this? Would the poor woman ever get a card if it were left to her son? I can't even have an experiment one year as DH is an only child.
I need to get a card for DH's birthday actually but didn't have time to look today, will need to do that tomorrow.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Still tired and not quite right but getting there. Might try some yoga in the morning and see if it wakes me up, was super sleepy this morning.
I got my days off :j:j so can spend Monday sorting the house & stocking up in Aldi's and then make some nice food for DH when he gets home from work. Might attempt a birthday cake this year as well but that might be a bit ambitious.
Only 3 more shifts to go now. :j Work hasn't been bad so far but think the weekend will be busy.
Managed to get a card for DH & a friend who also has a birthday next week in the cheap card shop and stocked up on lunches, teabags & hot chocolate for work in p0undland.
Might get a few wee things for DH before work tomorrow, will see how I'm doing for time.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Forgot to mention, was going through my clothes the other day and am just so bored of them all! Really feel like chucking them all out as always seem to wear the same things & never feel very smart or put together.
Still need to look for jeans, nightmare finding ones that fit both my waist & my hips but aren't too long in the leg. Also hate all my underwear and can never find anything that is comfy and fits properly.
So basically just hate my whole wardrobe right now.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Was too lazy to attempt yoga this morning, will try again when I get up.
Not much to report, need to update YNAB but need DH to go through a few things with & we're working opposite shifts atm so don't really see each other except when I get home & he is in bed already.
Managed to pick up some chocolates for various birthdays before work & then had a wander round the town.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
My wardrobe consists of about 10 items I wear over and over again.. shame of it is, if I chucked it all and had the money to start again, I'd probably buy the same stuff!!! :-)DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)
