Don't take about boots. My sister (also fat calves) gave me some bargain Joe Brown ones she bought online. They are lovely, and she gave them to me as I am a third of her size. They don't fit. What a confidence boost... NAAAT. :rotfl: - they are in my *must eBay these at some point* box.
I was contemplating my thighs this morning, as you do. And they seem to have developed a landscape of their own. So wobbly and infirm, ants would get a workout. So it has been decided. In three weeks, the cupboards will be emptied of Christmas clunk, and I am going to join chub club.and do some Pilates when my back ceases to be such a t0sser.
I want, long boots, nice knickers, and jeans/silhouette with the correct amount of tapering in the right places... Are you listening universe?

Yay, I don't have to go to work today. :j
:rotfl: Lilt, shopping for long boots is quite a traumatic experience! :rotfl: Well done on your resolution, I need to lose about a stone but I like food too much! I think those are quite good wants - I too would like all of those.
Started today off with 10 mins on the cross-trainer (ouch) and then 20 mins of Yoga (slightly less ouch). Now planning on chilling out for a bit and then going out for my dinner later with DH and my mum.
Actually made myself clean the bathrooms yesterday before work and also emptied the kitchen bin and food bin and then cleaned them both. Folded the towels and put them away as well.
Just had to order the cats dental dry food which cost me £21 for 4kg. Still cheaper than having to get their teeth out and/or cleaned by the vets at a later date I suppose. Also ordered a few of the feather tickler sticks they like as they rip them to shreds quite quickly.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. I wear ankle boots - saves all the hassle!! Lol.
I have enough trauma buying jeans, let alone subjecting myself to boots.. that said my welly boots rock!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

A late entry today, have been a bit lazy as still knackered but back to work for 7 early shifts tomorrow - I hate getting up at 5am.
The weather is showing no signs of settling down so think it will be hectic at work again.
In good news it's payday tomorrow. :j
Had a nice night out with my mum & DH last night and my brother came as well so was good to see him.
Today we went out to Aldi & got enough food to do us another week and then went to buy cat litter. Think I will order the cat litter online in future, saves carrying the huge 30l bags!
Was too lazy to do full make-up before leaving the house today so just used the new concealer crayon I bought to cover up the black circles under my eyes  some blusher, eyebrow pencil, powder & lipstick & looked not too bad.
Housework wise, another washing done & hung up on the clothes horse by DH and I cleaned out the cat litter, which was nasty. Off to bed shortly.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Yay for payday. :j Have paid £250 off the CC which is interest free until August as this is the amount that will clear it by then. I have also made a £10 over-payment to one of the loans and will see how we are doing budget wise before making any over-payment to the other loan. Have updated my sig, hopefully next month my overall debt will be under £20000.
Got a nice surprise in the post as got £50 through from one of my survey companies - had reached payout without realising. I think I will keep this money for DH's birthday which is coming up soon. Also have a few birthdays this month actually as still need to buy for other friend's 30th & my MIL.
Now need £2.95 in OP surveys before cash out so need to remember to check it every day as that is £40. :T
I think my YNAB budget is working. :j It says I have £200 available to budget but think there are still a few tweaks to be made here and there. I'll be very happy if I have a spare £200 though somehow I doubt it. :rotfl:
Ordered a couple of belts in the DP sale and picked up today - only spent £4 on them so quite pleased with that. Will see if they help with the non high-waisted jeans falling down all the time issue.Saw a nice dress also in the sale while I was in to pick up my order but resisted, if I'm still thinking about it in a couple of days I'll go back and try it on as only £10.
DFOD ankle boots are a good idea, I have one pair that I quite like and wear with jeans but the robust calves are a problem again when it comes to skirts/dresses as I think the ankle boots look odd on me then. I can't get welly boots to fit my chunky calves either.
Work was fine today but it was snowing  and I hate snow. Meant to be cold again tonight, hope I don't have to de-ice the car at 5:30am tomorrow.
Going to do half an hour of Yogalates now as feeling all stiff from sitting at work.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.0 -
Urgh to 5am starts.. my little boy wakes at that time every day.. At least with earlies, you get some of the day to yourself after you've finished work?

Hi DFOD :hello: yes an early start means an early finish for me so can usually chill out after doing a bit of housework every day to stop it mounting up too much. Find it difficult to sleep though and get grumpier and grumpier on early shifts.
Poor you, 5am every day - does your wee boy go back to sleep again or is that him up? I really hate mornings!
Work was ok today, just seemed to drag in. Roads were quite snowy on the way in so was driving quite slowly but didn't have any real problems. Didn't need to de-ice, just went out before I went to bed last night and cleared the snow off my car and saved myself 10 mins this morning.:)
No real news, have stuck a washing on and will start on dinner soon - chicken and broccoli bake as have both chicken and broccoli to use up.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Hello!!
Sorry I have been trying to get through diaries but they have stacked up underneath the weight of cleaning and a grumpy sick 2 year old. She is napping so I finally have the peace and quiet to come and say hi!! I am sure it will bite me in the bum at bedtime but for now it has silenced the shrieking
Yay for payday and leftover money!! I've got £173 unbudgeted at the minute in FebruarySo my YNAB is helping me build a buffer slowly, and that is after £1k macbook and £300 of savings :j
I like the idea of getting work out of the way early but at the same time, my dark circles need no encouragement and I am not human before 7am... even then I need a lot of coffee...
Hugs!! xx

Unfortunately that is him up for the day, but he's like me.. an early brd.. it doesn't faze me and usually DH and I sneak a lie in at the weekend one day each.. A lie in being 7am if I'm lucky!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Another uneventful day at work thankfully, was a bit icy on the roads this morning but only had one problem which was getting up the wee hill to get out of my estate and managed that not too badly.
Came home and did 10 minutes on the cross-trainer plus some stretches for my hips and hip flexors which are a bit tight. Then did some exercises with my hand weights to try and tone up my arms. Just going to chill for a bit before having a shower.
Have got more ironing to do - white shirts for work are the bane of my existence.
Still not sleeping great due to the early shifts so feeling knackered now.
DH actually asked me yesterday if we could add a couple of new categories to YNAB. :T He wants to set up pots for different savings! I'm impressed with the power of YNAB, it's actually making him think about things instead of spending and then feeling bad later. :j
Lilty :hello: sorry to hear about Jelly being sick, wee soul. Well done at your unbudgeted amount on top of the savings and spending on the MacBook, am impressed.:D The dark circles under my eyes are fairly impressive these days, shift work is confusing for the body.:(
DFOD It's a good job you're an early bird then!
