Hi all, horrible weather last night, really howling wind - got home from work just before midnight and struggled to open my car door as the wind was gusting so hard. Had to use my whole body weight just to get out!

Work is going to be manic today, whole rail network suspended. Wind has died down for now but meant to be another storm tonight, not looking forward to it. Nasty dull day and still raining just now.

Did 30 mins of Yoga again this morning, arms are a bit sore from the Pilates yesterday and my ankle is a bit sore for some reason. Think I'll have a rest day tomorrow and get back on the cross-trainer on Sunday.

Managed to get the parcels returned via the lockers yesterday - nice and simple. So hopefully get the refunds for those through soon.

Just need to buy milk today so will run into the pound shop before work for that.

  • what do you do for work SB? Horrible weather here as well.. just been out to get a few bits and getting me and the kids in / out the car four times, well let's just say - today was a total waste of hair spray!

    Hope work isn't too tedious!

Thanks DFOD, BB & betsycat - work was a nightmare yesterday, didn't stop for the whole shift. Weather had calmed down by the time I finished but the wind was picking up again before bed (about 1am).

Think it will be the same again today, so not looking forward to it. Only 4 more shifts until days off.

Had a rest from exercise today and a bit of a long lie, then got up and did a bit of housework. Off to work shortly.

  • Hey Sashybo. Just catching up; sounds like work is mental for you. SO many train cancellations, and all I have on my current line are leaflets about London Bridge being a no-go until 2018

Lucky for me, it isn't quite as bad today as it was overnight. Mainly gusting but not full on 24 hour gales. And the rain has dried up for now!!

Hope work goes well. Admire your exercise. All I do is walk there and back at the minute to work. Killing me, such an old cripple I am :rotfl:

Work wasn't as bad yesterday as on Friday but still pretty busy. Only 3 more shifts to go :j , knackered now and had such stinging eyes last night from tiredness.

Going to try and do a bit on the cross-trainer soon and maybe some more Pilates. Planning to do the ironing before work as well but will have to see how I'm doing for time as need to shower etc as well.

Also want to nip into town to Iceland before work to get something for dinner as don't want to get a take-away at work, have done well so far.

Lilt, not much to admire on the exercise front, I'm a lazy mare. :rotfl: You're in a lot of pain and do such a lot when I'd be feeling sorry for myself.

DH has the day off today, lucky git, however he goes on to early shifts tomorrow instead of lates so swings and roundabouts I suppose.
