Well the Copella apple juice was half price in the Coop today, so I bought some of that. Tastes divine although it is pretty high in the calories, so I shared it with the kids (grumble grumble). Now I'm on the Aldi version of Pepsi Max while hubby has his G&T.0

Day 5 - I'm really chuffed with myself! I know it's bad but I can't remember the last time I went with out a drink for this long. Lidl's iced tea with dinner and just had a dolce gusto mocha. I think I can actually do this!Overdraft: [STRIKE]£529[/STRIKE] £199 BC: [STRIKE]£697.82[/STRIKE] £1974.02 MBNA: [STRIKE]£1874[/STRIKE] £517.00

I had an alcohol free pear kopparberg and a becks blue earlier on, would have been 2 alcohol free ciders but the pub ran out, not because its popular, according to the barman it's not, but they only restock when the last bottle is finished.
Would have stayed in if my mum hadn't suggested meeting her, so tomorrow I'll be back on the soda water.
I have two bottles of prosseco in the house that Im going to give away.0 -

Not craving booze half as much as I thought I would, particularly as it was my first day back to work today and that always has the potential to tip me over the edge!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
I licked the spoon after stirring hubby's G&T - does that mean I've broken the rules?0

Not guilty roz.
Feeling a bit down as time of the month and back to a probably stressy day at work tomorrow but pleased with myself for reaching day five.
Like others, I think this is probably the longest I have not had a drink for since my last pregnancy which was almost twenty years ago.
Getting various responses off people when I say I am doing challenge.
"Why?".....off fellow wine loving friends

There've been a couple of nights where I've said I could just go a large vodka & d.coke, but nothing I would class as craving.
I do have a very belated work Christmas lunch on 16th (that'll be tough as I'm out with a bunch of lawyers I have pretty much zilch in common with), and I have a dinner on 20th with friends (one of which drinks like a fish and wanted a 'dislike' button for when I mentioned to her on FB the other night that I wasn't drinking!). I've told one of the others I'll drive and pick her up, so that will remove temptation.
It is always harder being back at work.
Pollyanna, instead of counting the units or cash, count the calories. That'll help you cut downAlso, I know the temptation when you're on your own. I used to do a chatroom and would sit there with my 'stuff' around me, constantly topping up a drink, etc. It becomes a habit. Do something else to occupy yourself instead of whatever your routine is. A jigsaw, or make some cards or crafts, or ring a friend, watch a film rather than flicking through tv, read a book, make sandwiches for the next day, or meals to freeze, or bake, or make smoothies, juice drinks, etc.
It's much easier when you find something else to occupy yourself with.
Good luck allWe can do it!

Day 5 done no problems. Good job too as my kids decided to be annoying, the youngest got up at 3.30am!! Not happy!
I'm not finding that I'm craving wine, just that it's something nice to look forward to at the end of the day. I'm worried that if I give in, then that's it. Then I'll go back to my own ways. Really hoping I don't though. Need to find a happy medium and not just think that cos the bottle's open, I have to finish it!
I'm not finding the not drinking particularly difficult though and it is nice waking up with no fuzzy head. I'm just taking myself off to bed and watching telly, although thinking about it, this is what I always used to do once the girls were in bed, just used to have a glass of wine beside me.
I am finding I'm drinking a lot more water though which is all good!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
