So I am lucky in the fact I am on a weeks holiday so no work tomorrow
Just had my first sip of pinot and it tastes excuisite...mmmmmm.
Even got some chocolate to go with it.
Funny thing is.........I felt guilty pouring it.
Im sure that feeling will soon disappear.
So what have I gained from this?
Well I have proved to myself I have will power....I have proved to myself I am not addicted to alcohol....just enjoy it.
And I have learnt having a drink most nights is just a habit and a habit that is hopefully broken.
Hope everyone elses first drink of the year tastes as beautiful as mine.
Big thanks to everyone that has supported each other on this thread.

Vino today! BF said I was much slower with it, and I left a tad in the glass when I'd had enough, and had half a bottle, not the whole bottle!
Actually think I had one cos I could rather than wanted to. Some sort of closure! Probably not drinking now until next weekend.

. I shall be back on the wagon by Thursday until Easter

I have had a few glasses of wine since the end of January but not excessive amounts. I think a period of abstinence has been good and I'm now trying to drink less (not that I drank a huge amount previously) and enjoy it more.0
