Yes I am stubborn too and if I am going to do something.....I have to see it through.

Just found out that on the same day, but in the evening, we have been invited for goodbye drinks to see a friend of OH's who are going to Australia.

LOL is it really worse than me going on a 5 hour 'lunch' with 10 lawyers (who I have zilch in common with, who drink like fish (and none of it cost me a penny)?! ;)

G'wan. You can do it. Drive there if you do/can. Problem solved. If I can do it, you can ;)

btw I'm out for dinner tonight. Am driving to stop me drinking. Am also hoping it's cancelled as one's sick and so I can delay until Feb lol.

I wouldn't mind if I felt better and had lost two stone. Haven't noticed any difference!!!!

But.............I have been eating chocolate and biscuits like they are going out of fashion. Thanks for support....it is only one day.

    I CAN do it.
    Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £60

Oh hell - my friend is now driving/picking me up tonight. I will not break it, but OMG I really want to LOL. Definitely the first real day of weakness for me!

I'm eating more biscuits (in fact, forget the 'more' - I don't usually even buy them lol) and 'rubbish' generally. Alcohol usually makes me hungry the next day - but I've realised obstaining seems to have the same effect. Just had a Curly Wurly and a tea (with sugar). Damn. No wonder I've not lost two stone lol ;)

  • I heard something on radio recently, claims that a glass of wine a day can help, healthwise??

Still no drinking for me. We went out last night for hubby's birthday and I stuck with the diet coke. No problems and I'm not really missing it.

I had yet another tonic water - and once I had my starter, the urge for alcohol vanished. I'm not a big drinker if eating anyway so was very pleased with myself :D

Just the weekend to get through now lol.

    Thanks :)

I heard this programme last night, the last 10 mins is the relevant part - a health study on a group of people who dry januaried last year found so many positives (including weight loss) - it will help you keep going.

I cant post the link as I am a new user, but if you search BBC Inside Health 21st Jan Not that I have lost anything, as my alcohol alternatives are as just as calorific!

    Inside Health link.
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
