Tonic water with a splash of lemon juice & Lime with lunch. It was fine but the end of January is a long way off so i'm not getting cocky!

I'm currently drinking an alcohol free pear cider. Not my favourite but wanted a change from becks blue. I start a bootcamp on the 13th and that's 8 weeks alcohol free so that will take me to mid march.

The less I drink the more I see some very heavy drinkers who probably class themselves as social drinkers.

I don't like v8 veg juice but I often make home made fruit and veg smoothies.
  • Day 4 almost done and did first class back at the gym.

Did a step class which I found difficult but persevered to the end.

Last night was the best I have slept in ages.

Still a long way to go but I am determined.

  • Cranberry juice instead of red wine with tonight's roast! Means instead of being sleepy once LO is in bed I'm just feeling full and relaxed but no more.

Off to first pramercise class in the morning for a while - ugh!

In case anyone fancies a laugh...I decided to home wax my lip/chin earlier (I'm blonde but decided in bright sunlight that I was looking a little 'fuzzy')...looked fine but it must have reacted since. STBX came round to see LO earlier and asked what the hell was going on with my face. The shame! Went to the bathroom mirror to see bright red patches all across lower half of my face...pretended it was eczema. He wasn't convinced and kept saying "that looks really sore, let me have a look - have you got some cream you can put on it?". Uuuugghhh!!!
  • Day 4 - by far the hardest. It's my husband's birthday so I'm cooking a nice dinner and I would usually have a glass of wine on the go whilst cooking. We have prosecco over from Christmas so we would definitely usually have cracked that open.

Yes the trouble with any fizz is that one you've opened the bottle it has to go so a big temptation to have a glass too many to avoid wastage. Find these bottle sealer gadgets don't really keep the fizz in for long.

Knocking day 4 off early because I'm definitely not in the mood for alcohol.

We had a lamb roast today and the OH opened a bottle of red which tempted me but I was strong! Also met up with friends in the pub twice so far and have been quite happy with my soda water and two wedges of lime.

Not looking forward to the start of the week tomorrow...
    Dry January: 31/31 days. :T
  • I briefly fancied a nice cold glass of Pinot earlier whilst making dinner, but not anywhere near as much as I normally do.

We are visiting friends next weekend in Kent though, and there is bound to be booze a plenty, so that is going to be a VERY big challenge!
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..

I had a dry December, and no plans to revert for a while.

Asda do a dealcoholised wine called fre. Ive tried the red and the white and Id recommend them if wine is your drink of preference.

Tesco do a 0 per cent wine called sorelle, its ok, have tried the red and the rose, was half price the last time I was in, the rose one certainly.
