I am so excited. My signs at the shop has gone up, finally after 5 months I have a permanent presence on the High Street!
My staff was back today but she still sounds awful! I hope that she doesn't pass anything on to me.
It was a quiet day, but still new jobs in, and a couple of collections.
A few new people through the door as well. My "rag" was taken across to the charity shop to use for their weight, and saves me disposal.
The banking was done, and I replaced a few Zips in trousers and pockets in a coat. Did several fittings. I also interviewed a lady about teaching knitting for me.
Now I'm going to spend 30 minutes clearing the surfaces in the bedroom while I still feel enthusiastic and dig out some of the costume jewellery too take to the shop tomorrow. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning. Confession time. I never got to sort, after various interruptions, I gave up the idea. I was in bed by 9pm
Weirdly though as I move about my home, I'm looking at things differently, and wondering why I have items, and if I even like them or not.
Although I hate my cooker. It was a Freecycle one 4 years ago when I moved here. It's a gas oven that I need matches to light, and the front of it is so chipped that it goes rusty!
Maybe the next goal is to save to replace it.When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Evening. Long day. Lots of little jobs tackled though.
This afternoon I seemed to turn agony aunt, with people seeking me out, for advice, but not about sewing. About custody/child courts, about Autism and Dyslexia, and other personal issues!
I appear to still be the go to granny in many ways!
Alas this evening I was ringing my customers to remind them to collect their alterations only to find one gentleman has died last night. Suddenly and unexpectedly. He didn't turn up for work, so someone went round to see him, and found him. He'd died last night in his chair.
I was as sympathetic as I could be, but it did dawn on me that I have lost the money for the work then, and then felt guilty that I had that thought.
The cats are running around and tripping me up. I am not used to them yet. And when they used the litter tray( pong!), I said to DGD that that is why we don't have animals. !!!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I have spent the evening blitzing my bedroom, or more accurately one corner of it, and the surface of the dresser drawers etc.
Handbags put away, tatty shoes thrown out, obsolete bits of paper etc and even more odd socks!
I still have a pile so high, in one corner that will take me quite a while to sort through. So that's my job for tomorrow. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
If I got up to go to the loo much more, it would have not been worth going to bed. 4 times I woke! I was lucky to get 2 hours full sleep at any one time last night. And I woke at 6 again before the alarm.
But it iS nice to look across at the ottoman and see the top of it, and the storage box next to it clear!
I have a short day at work today. A massage booked at 2pm, DGD to collect early at 3.15 then no lessons tonight, so time to possibly visit my Mum and Dad and any Aldi shopping I need for the rest of the month.
Tonight I plan to carry on decluttering.
I have an order for another Thermal Bag, so at work this morning I need to see if I have any fabric in the colours the customer is looking for.
As I woke earlier then I need, I have my tea finished, my emails dealt with, this now updated, and the declutter challenge updated. As I actually washed up last night, that's one chore less to do this morning.
Maybe a few minutes grabbing the random bits of costume jewellery and putting it together in a bag to take to the shop.
Not forgetting I need some ways to display it all. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
My head is full of too much stuff!!
Yesterday I interviewed a lady for cleaning at 1pm, had my massage at 2pm, collected DGD at 3.15 and went home. My eyesight went a bit funny after my massage, so I didn't go and see my parents, just chatted on Skype, and skyped my Brother in France as well.
I forgot we were supposed to get Dgds passport photo done. So that's next week now then!
The car is booked in for two new tyres and brakes tomorrow.
Do DGD will go to Breakfast club again.
I did manage to declutter a set of 4 drawers in my room.
Leaves me about 16 more to do!! If you count the bedside drawers, and the ones in my desk in the corner.
Today I had customers before I was even open, but I only have a days work left. Suddenly I am caught up. So it has obviously slowed down and I hadn't realised quite how much.
Just having a cup of tea and a snack, rarely do I get time for that!
Tonight I have our 3rd lesson with my latest ladies. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Morning, from quite a tired lady! It was a busy evening from work at 5pm, collecting DGD, popping to Mr T, for bread etc, cooking dinner, my friend came to Babysit, I went back out at 7pm to teach.
Biggest of Mooloos text about going out tonight, to the cinema, so Asked twin1 to babysit her daughter. She actually said yes! Amazing.
So I'm going out tonight.
The lady who I had arranged to help with the cleaning has cancelled as she's been offered a full time job. So I better get this Kondoing sorted out and free up my space to do it myself!
As I was out last night I didn't get anymore done.
I won't have time this morning, as I have to take the car to be done at 8am
But at least tonight I will have fresh brakes and tyres on the car. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Thankyou for your interest, and comments.
I must admit I'm slowing down a bit today. My back is hurting after cutting out all morning! I shall have to find a way of raising the height of my tables! When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
I am following your success with interest, have you thought about residential weekend courses?0
