  • Hi I'd like join please.

I have been struggling with weight for a few years now and I am 3 stones over my desirable weight. I've tried SW and WW and lost a bit of weight with both plans however I wasn't completely focused so the pounds have been on and off over the years. I was my heaviest at 13 St 5 lbs 3 yrs ago, I am now 12 st 10 lbs, hoping to lose 2 stones. To help my Debt-free journey, I will put £1 in my pot for every pound I will lose. A pound for a pound (a £ for a lb). Weighing day tomorrow so excited to see if I have lost any unwanted lbs.

  • Sorry for butting into this Thread....I hope no one minds :)

I have been reading since the Thread started and I need to lose weight but am going through some long-term Health Problems at the moment so decided to hold off joining this Thread until those are sorted out...

BUT....I read your Post Shrimpy and thought I might be able to offer some suggestions for Harry Potter Cakes. What about one in the shape of a Broomstick? Or, if you google it, you could do one in the shape of the Griffyndor Crest, or what about some Harry Potter Glasses for a Cake? Or you could do the Knight Bus (from the Prisoner of Azhkahan)....Hmmmm....could you do a "Diagon Alley" cake? Or a cake in the shape of a Wand?

Anyway...those were just my thoughts...hope that helps a little and I hope to come and Join you all in the next month or two... :)

    Hi all,
Have just arrived back from hols. Will weigh in again next Wednesday. Diet starts again tomorrow so will give me some time to negate some of the damaged done. Ate what I wanted but walk around 30 miles in 4 days ( many on a gradient).

Hi and welcome The Only Girl! I do the chart on Thursday morning (ish) so depending what time you are able to post I will add your loss this week if I can.

Birdie - I have been threatening to make her a Hagrid cake but she wants something more impressive :rotfl: I made 100+ cake pops for my wedding having never made them before in my life! I didn't find them too bad to be honest, they looked very 'rustic' though!

Thanks for your ideas too DreamerHelen, look forward to you joining us here :) My sis suggested something to do with Harry's glasses or the crest too. Right now I'm considering the Hogwarts Express or a quidditch pitch of some sort... I really like the idea of a cake within a cake/surprise inside cake but can't think of a way to work it in. Maybe house colours...? I have seen a really cool envelope cake with a Hogwarts acceptance letter in but I did her an acceptance letter last year :o Ooooh unless I made her a Howler!

Hope you had a nice hols Gem-Gem!

Nothing to report here this week as didn't get to Boots to weigh in, feel as though my meals have been a bit glutinous but I've given up coke for lent so hoping that might make a difference, we will see on Saturday!

Well done to all the losers :)

  • Hi Shrimpy,

Thanks for your reply. Weighing in will be at 9:30am-ish tomorrow so keeping my fingers crossed it's a loss and not a gain.

    Night-night peeps.
