I might make tandoori chicken tomorrow night
2 skinless chicken breasts
1 pot fat free natural yoghurt (are the big ones 500ml? if so, one of them)
Tandoori seasoning
Mint sauce
stir the tandoori seasoning into half of the yoghurt to make a marinade - use as much as you like. I prefer it to be tandoori-tastic so use loads
cover the chicken breasts in the marinade, cling film and leave overnight.
pop in the oven and cook like you would normal chicken breasts
stir 2tbsp mint sauce into the remaining yoghurt.
Serve with lettuce, cucumber, onion, tomato, and pitta breads if desiredOur Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I know I've joined as I'm on the first page but couldnt find my post.
Weighed myself this morning and I'm 10 stone 8.5, I'm doing dry January but it seems to have back fired!
1% of my weight is 1.485 pounds.
I'd like to start with a 9, so I'd like to lose 6% taking me to 9 stone 13.5 near enough.
So losing 9lbs....
....that's the ave human brain (3) plus 4 bananas (1) plus a chihuahua (5)!
Just dawned on my that my lad was born 9pound 8. So I basically have to lose that!
I stress eat and have very bad hours at work, but now I have a number to focus on it should be easier... I like playing with numbersJanuary 2025 - Debt £20,0060 -
Joining a bit late - hi ultimate incentive threadies and everyone else!
Following a couple of months of terrible eating and Christmas over indulgence I weighed about a stone more than the last time I'd checked - 179lbs
I've given up chocolate, cakes, biscuits, sweets etc for 2015, normally do this for lent and always manage fine - it's once I start raiding the biscuit tin at work that I can't stop! So hoping this helps as a starting point. Also trying not to snack between meals and get exercising again. Will see how January goes then maybe restart the 5:2 diet as I've no interest in calorie counting.
So I've weighed myself today and I've lost 6lbs! Probably a bit of a cheat result as my start weight was using OH parents scales and now I'm back on the one's at Boots but there's not much I can do about that. Should be consistent from now on! Probably won't be able to update every week as I weigh myself first thing so can only do that on a Saturday and sometimes life/parkrun gets in the way - but I'll try my best Dinah! Glad Ben is ok, poor little thing x

Evening all
I would love a tiled bathroom just so that I can put my scales in the same spot :rofl
grassgirl - when you equate 9lbs to being the weight of a baby, it really hits home, how well we are doing by losing weight. I've lost the weight of half a small (6lbs) baby last week!
Unfortunately most of my food today has been chocolate basedIt has been lovely tasting but not lovely for my weight I am sure! I am quite pleased to have a weekly weigh in as it means I don't constantly jump on them and then get annoyed when I've had a bad day.
Tomorrow I am intending on going back to the gym and to get back on the couch to 5k. My aim for January/February is to get up to running 5k without stopping. Then March and April I want to increase my distance and I'm doing a 10k race towards the end of April.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

I dont get uptight about such calories - it will all even out. Will be picking up my swimming sessions at the weekend.

Weighed in on Wednesday and was surprised to find that I'd lost 4lbs since I haven't really got into the right mindset yet.
I'm hoping to get back in the gym tomorrow for the first time in months and I'll have a look at this 30 day squat challenge that everyone's talking about.0 -
Little man very poorly today, I will update some of the newcomers and new weights when he's a bit better, it's just been a straight 14 hours of holding him while he grizzles and brings up milk all over me. Hope this was the worst of it.
A little over my calories today, but I was 300 under on Wednesday so for the week I'm still on track. Mum is going to come watch Ben tomorrow so I can finally take Grace skating, a few calories burned and a nice mother daughter date. Poor girl isn't liking this diet thing, she has been asking me to bake a cake all week. Going to have to go with a 'healthy' baking option just so she can do it.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

On subject of scales I don't move mine, they're in my bedroom and are what gets me out of bed quicker
On subject of squats, I enjoyed them but really really don't want extra muscle or definition, so I'm just going to focus on what I eat and drink for a few days
Is there a time for weigh in or just anytime weds? ThanksJanuary 2025 - Debt £20,0060 -
Is there a time for weigh in or just anytime weds? Thanks
I always weight first thing in a morning, in my birthday suit after a visit to the 'little room'. But I actually weigh on a Monday morning, but don't report until Wednesday. I still have a week between visits to the scales, so it doesn't really make any difference I'm checking on a different day (and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person doing this).Cheryl0 -
When we weigh in on Wednesday's do we report the total amount of weight we've lost since the beginning or just the weight we've lost for the week?#114 DFBXmas2015: £7941/£53,416
