I don't know if weighing yourself at night would be the best as you would have eaten and drank water throughout the day. I believe it is usually better to weigh in early in the morning before the day starts. My 2 cents though...As long as you always weigh at the same time of day (and in the same situation) it doesn't actually make any difference, you should see the same drop each week as you would if you always did it a different way.
Yes I weigh at the same time of the day every time. I know most people weigh first thing in the morning but that just isnt happening for me! I cant get the wii fit out when the kids are awake and I'm not setting my alarm to get up before them, they get up too early for me as it is :rotfl:Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Question for the calorie counters - if you've used all your calories for the day but you're still hungry (and I mean you've waited at least 30 minutes since eating, you've drunk at least 2 pints of water - this is genuine hunger not a craving) do you hold out or feed the hunger?Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

depends on whether I have calories banked from earlier in the week or not.
if I have calories banked (didn't eat quote / all my exercise calories), then I eat some of those - the calorie allowance is set for a weight loss over the week, so it doesn't matter if I eat them on the days they're earned or more on some days and less on others as long as they balance out
if I've none spare I'm more likely to go to bed - though I may allow myself a piece of low-cal fruit or a low-cal hot chocolate first (so I stand a chance of nodding off)
or stay up until after midnight and have an early breakfastCheryl0 -

NIM didn't think he'd lost either, 'all' he did was cut out the bottles of coke in the car, the bars of chocolate from the petrol station, the sausage, egg and bacon with the beans on toast for a breakfast at work, the one whiskey and coke on a night.... but you add it all up and it's about 1500 calories a day he's saved!
Holy moly!! Shocking when you add it all up - did you add up the cost too? :money:There has been a lot of nagging about those petrol station extras, he says he stopped a few weeks ago but wrappers were left in my car. I think it's the old problem a lot of us have that we tell ourselves 'well just this once, it's a treat, I don't do it everyday' but actually we do it more than we realise and it adds up in more ways than one.
We definitely all do it - have you ever seen Secret Eaters? They don't know they're doing it, I'm sure!Question for the calorie counters - if you've used all your calories for the day but you're still hungry (and I mean you've waited at least 30 minutes since eating, you've drunk at least 2 pints of water - this is genuine hunger not a craving) do you hold out or feed the hunger?
If it's this time of night I'd just go to bed :rotfl:
Well done to NIM and to everyone, some fab results there! Fancy us all having 'lost an Alsatian'!!
Hope Baby Ben is on the mend! x
PS - everyone talking about consistency in weighing themselves ... I do it first thing before I get in the shower and I always brush my hair before I get on the scales - to me, brushed hair weighs less than cottery hair!Is it just me??

No that's just you! I do change my glasses for my contacts though
I'd never sleep, too much grumbling. I was 300 calories under yesterday so I had a slice of toast and feel much less fixated.
Thanks for all the good wishes, Ben is no worse today, has a nasty cough but so far is coping admirably. Tiny trooper.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Been very well behaved today. Stuck to my rations and feel great for doing it. I love feeling my clothes fit nicely, seeing a bit of room in my jeans, and not feeling fat and bloated, I just need to remember how much I love feeling like that when I feel like loving some chocolate£250 shopping, diesel and any other spends

I do this tooTBF, with the amount of hair that falls out when I brush it must be a couple of ounces off!
I was starving the other night before bed so had to have half a Warbuton's Sandwich Thin. Shut up the grumblies and better than eating a couple of biscuits which was my initial thought!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
