Well done everyone! The main thing is we are all taking steps to improve our health, the number on the scale is just one measure of that.

Totally agree! But huge congrats on your loss this week - it's always such a boost having a big number to start :T

  • I am using the old fashioned scales that you used to get at the doctors. Theones where you move the metal blocks across at the top. I am using these atschool as I don’t have scales at home anymore. My friend stole them from myhouse because she said I was getting obsessed with weighing myself everyday. As my best friend she wasright. That was about seven years agoand I hardly weigh myself at all now, although I am now in a different mind.

What do the rest of you use Boots, home scales etc.? I have noticed so people have it right down to the quarter pound.

I have home scales, but depending on how I stand on them my weight can vary by over a stone. They don't give an accurate weight, but I can get an indication from them of whether it's a loss/gain/STS. I tend to get on them much too much :o

My wii fit also weighs and much more accurately, but at the moment it has been allowed to gather dust :o

My official weigh in I do at a Weight Watchers meeting. It weighs to the nearest ½lb which I think is accurate enough.

I have a digital set at home. I can set them to give me the display in kg (to 0.1kg), stones and lbs (to a quarter pound if I remember rightly) or lbs (to 0.1lbs). I've opted for the latter as I don't understand kg and sometimes get so depressed when I see the 'stones' I'm liable to munch my way through anything and everything edible in the house!!

I have some digital scales at home and I make sure I weigh myself in the same spot in the bathroom just so I can get consistent readings.

    Really pleased with my start

    #2 - weighed in at 227lb - a loss of 3.25lb :j

I'm doing it one thing at a time. This week and next week I am focusing on the food side, with a small walk each day

I have digital scales at home, they claim to work out BMI and body fat % too but I haven't bothered to use those settings! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Well done to everyone who has weighed in already :T

I weigh myself on my wii fit which does not come out while the kids are awake as they just jump all over it, so will be weighing myself tonight once they are in bed.

    186lb so 1.6lb off

Really pleased with that as haven't been too strict this week. Managed my first run of 2015 today (first one in about 2 months to tell the truth). Did 3.6 miles and it wasn't too bad.
