  • I lost 3lb which equates to 1.28%. Considering we had a meal out on Friday for my grandmas 80th and was at a 3 year olds birthday party on Saturday I am very surprised as was expecting no loss

Morning everyone! Well done to all the losers so far and I'm sure you'll have a loss next week kathrynha after all the treats that Christmas brings.

I've lost 0.5lbs this week but I know I've lost inches around my waist due to all the exercise and I need to average 0.5 lbs a week in order to get to target for the wedding.

Wow, well done to everyone! :T I am 168lb which is 3lb off! :j I thought I'd STS! Phew.

Started the squat challenge last night, started off thinking 'Pah! This is easy'... half way through I was struggling! :p Looking forward to doing it again tonight, oddly.

Some good recipes floating about on here, we should catalogue them so they don't get lost! :) I don't mind owning that to save you from extra work, I could make a post for saving links to the posts with recipes in and you'll just have to link to that particular post on the first page. :)

I have my soups with a helping of hm coleslaw underneath for crunch. Admittedly I eat my soup cold when at work, out of a tupperware, so may be considered 'weird'!

Definitely weird! And gross! :p I hate coleslaw though so probably explains that...
It's also my birthday today so had chocolate cake with my mum and sister this evening.
    ...
My main motivation for my weight loss is we are starting IVF from Tuesday, so I want to know I'm giving myself the best possible chance. Thinking of doing the 5:2 if I can make it fit around my little ones meals too.

Happy Birthday for yesterday! Everyone's allowed cake on their special day! And best of luck for the IVF. I bl00dy love science! :D

Didn't he used to be really into his health and fitness, always wanted you to go to the gym with him? Thought it would go hand in hand with micro-managing his diet, you've surprised me tbh saying he is a bit of a feeder! Not what you need!

DH has always been into fitness but hasn't really had to worry about eating perfectly because he's so active. He has a decent diet of sorts, just not very exciting as he has cereal or porridge for breakfast, sandwich with crisps and a biscuit for lunch then takes the same for dinner at work! As a result he likes to have treats on a weekend and his days off, which is when he turns into a feeder. When you're lifting 25kg boxes repeatedly for 6/7 hours a day you don't really have to worry about your calorie intake! He's totally over the gym though and TBH not going hasn't really done anything to his physique. I half want him to get a pot belly but noooo.... he's as fit as ever! I've just gotten back under his weight now. It's awful being heavier than your DH! :o

ETA: Can I just ask Dinah, as it's been lurking in my mind since you mentioned it last week, why on earth can't you leave both children with their Dad for an hour so you can go out alone?! Just thinking about how I'd react if my DH tried pulling that one with me... I'd be laughing as I was waking out the door!

    Good Morning,
    I have stayed the same 10st 61/2lb.xx
  • 153.4lbs for me, which is the same as last week, so 0 gain/loss. I usually weigh myself in pounds but my scales settings were on stone to begin with and that gave me a much higher reading  will ignore that for now.

On the recipe front, if anyone is struggling to give up snacks, I discovered drying roasting pumpkin seeds in a frying pan with a bit of salt as a 'healthy snack'. I'm not sure how healthy they actually are but you don't need many to feel satisfied. They also make good salad additions in lieu of croutons.

Well done to everyone who has managed a loss, no matter how small, it's still a loss!

Not too shabby when you consider I succumbed to the chocolate yesterday!

OMG I can so tell I've been doing it, and I've just done Day 2. I do it when I'm brushing my teeth or about to go in the shower :)
