My DH is clueless too, to a degree.
He just doesn't think about calories and eats what he wants, therefore makes what he fancies and I have to eat it! I can't complain about him making my lunches and most meals at the weekend though. I have told him I need to lose weight though so he's cutting back on food for my sake.
That said, he made a huge stir fry for lunch, it was really nice, and pretty healthy (I think?!) but I'm stuffed now! My march back to work was more of a pained waddle! :rotfl:
Cinny- I have to have something to chew with soup too. If you don't chew, it's a drink, not a meal!
I don't think I'll have lost anything for tomorrow's weigh-in, but I know that this is a long slog, not an overnight fad! We're doing the Biggest Loser in the office too and there's money for the winner (we all paid £5 to enter) so the pressure's on if I want to win!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Making OH make my dinner for when I get home from work and I've told him it needs to be under 600 calories (ideally 400 so I can have a snack too!). He's clueless, bless him, even though he's meant to be dieting too!
If I asked my DH to make a meal of 600cals, he would probably serve up beans on as much toast as possible0 -
I fear I oversold! Not delicious Rainforest Cafe coconut shrimp. Just shrimp fried in a little coconut oil in a coconut, chilli and lemongrass sauce
Aww, my quest for the perfect shrimp continues....Still sounds yummy though!

Okay, so it turns out peppermint tea is really good at beating the bloat because it works the same as the night time Boo Tea (if you catch my drift!)
Really stressed out about money and work stuff today - not sure what to do - but it's making me want to reach for the chocolate! Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

Holy guacamole! I thought I'd work out my BMI 'for fun' and I'm sat right in the middle of 'overweight'
Bit scary that the lowest healthy weight for my height is as low as 8st 3lb, I haven't been that small since I was 12! I don't think it's actually possible.
Hugs for feeling stressed Lulu. Try to avoid the stress chocolate, or treat yourself to one little piece and savour it. Focus on enjoying the flavour and making it last rather than just shoving it in mindlessly. It'll probably help you to destress for a moment too if you take time out for a little bit of happiness.Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. My BMI is 35!!:eek: Says I need to lose 92lbs to be healthy. I'll stick to 60 for now.

Birdie85, I remember my Dr telling me when I was 18st that my ideal weight was 9st, I just laughed at him as I'd not been that weight since I was 14yrs old. It put me off bothering to lose weight if I'm honest as it didn't seem achievable, I'm still not sure it is.
I look back at old photos and think I looked okay when I was around 13st so that's my eventual goal.0 -
I have my soups with a helping of hm coleslaw underneath for crunch. Admittedly I eat my soup cold when at work, out of a tupperware, so may be considered 'weird'! And no mayo or dressing on the coleslaw under the soup - but if I take it in a separate container, then I do add dressing. Overall, I find I can get 7-9 veggies in me in just one meal!
Sort of looking forward to tomorrow's weigh in...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
5k run done, eating was ok ish today although not great. Drank tons of tea today too, there is nothing more satisfying than going to the loo early in the morning before standing on the scales
