I'm weirdly excited for the weigh in tomorrow, although I don't think I've lost anything. I've stayed off the scales all week, instead of weighing myself everyday so it'll be a surprise! Need to up my exercise and stick to the diet everyday.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Sorry to everyone having McRib cravings because of me! They were OK, but they used to be a lot nicer back in the day!! Save your cals for better stuff folks
Today started off really well then got slightly derailed at dinner time, when I let OH cook whilst I was at the gym
Breakafast was a couple of Weetabix and milk, had a roll filled with wafer thin chicken and a smidge of LF mayo, a LF yoghurt and a couple of cubes of Xmas cheese (I'm using up) for lunch.
Had a couple more slices of wafer thin turkey when I got in from work to tide me over then hit the gym. Ran 2.5km in 15 mins on the treadmill, a 5 minute hill climb on 10% gradient at a fast walking pace, rowed 2km in 11.10 seconds and cycled for 10 minutes covering 4.5km. I also did some weights and an ab section at the end to do some toning. I also walked 13,000 steps today.
Then I ruined everything (again) with dinner. Had a big old bowel of HM pasta bake (lots of cheese) served with HM cheesy garlic bread  and you know what? I was so hungry I scoffed the lots without thinking twice
I really need to sort my head out with regards to big portions of food in the evenings. I am however easing into this as someone else (sorry forgot who) mentioned earlier. This week I made a decision to cut out chocolate, crisps and biscuits out, and I have stuck to that even when I was realllllly tempted a couple of times! So I will focus on what I'm succeeding at, rather than beating myself up over the other stuff.
Good luck to everyone for tomorrows weigh in! I'm sure some of us will have good news to report! I won't but I hopefully next week!0 -
Eek you need a starting weight?
Prefer not to give one, as I use the same forum name on other forums and I'm embarrassed about my weight.
I want to lose 10 stone (140 lb) and have currently lost 22½, so 117½ lb to go, although that's based on a pre-Christmas weigh in.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

I am not excited about the weigh in, actually pretty nervous that all of this has been for nothing!
I know what you mean but remember it's not for nothing so even if you haven't lost tomorrow, don't give up - it will come off if you keep going!apple_muncher wrote: »I have my soups with a helping of hm coleslaw underneath for crunch. Admittedly I eat my soup cold when at work, out of a tupperware, so may be considered 'weird'!
Definitely weird
There was so much else I wanted to reply to but this thread moves too fast for me as I can't keep up at work. Well done to the person who has already lost 22lbs though, that's amazing! Cinny I deffo think the booteas are a massive rip off, get some peppermint tea down you!
I too am feeling nervous about weigh-in as I've been doing so much exercise - had 2 PT sessions Sun and Mon and am so stiff now! I actually *feel* heavier because my muscles feel so solid (in a knotty way, not a ripped one!). I've been eating well but only since yesterday so I guess I should give myself a chance!
Good luck for tomorrow everyone!

Well I've had a disastrous start to this challenge. Partly because I don't like waste, therefore am trying to finish the last of the bad stuff, and quickly.
It's also my birthday today so had chocolate cake with my mum and sister this evening.
I really need to get some focus. We're out for a meal for my mums 60th on Saturday, then a meal with hubby's extended family on Sunday, but will really try to watch what I'm eating.
My main motivation for my weight loss is we are starting IVF from Tuesday, so I want to know I'm giving myself the best possible chance. Thinking of doing the 5:2 if I can make it fit around my little ones meals too.SPC 18 Target £200 /0 -
Having now looked at how many calories are in a mince pie the last 2 are on the bird table:rotfl: Heaven only knows how many are in my homemade ones we have eaten over the last few weeks:eek:
All unopened boxes of goodies now in a box in spare room where they will stay until a few lbs lost
Tomorrow night yoga classes start again:j I love my yoga and really miss it - DD2 comes along too helps her core strength for dance.
Going to aim for 3 swimming sessions a week and maybe one of those will be use of the gym first.
Good luck to all with weigh in tomorrow:)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I've sort of given up on the front list for now, I will get to it. You're on the spreadsheet though. I'll try to update the front list tomorrow. Hubby works very long hours (12 hour days + 30min commute 5 days a week) and with 2 children under 3 and working freelance, I'm paddling like crazy trying to roughly keep on top of this project without letting anything else slip or give up on my own exercise to fill in the spreadsheet!
Made this for dinner tonight, but used butternut squash and sweet potato in place of the celeriac, not through any divine inspiration but because that's what blinking tesco brought me. Was quite filling, a lot more so than soup and a roll for the same sort of calories.
Exercise today... rubbish. Have had NIM all floppy with the onset of a migraine, and both kids in today. Went to see a friend this morning but she'd forgotten we were coming and gone out, so that was an hour and a quarter in the car for no reason. Took DD to her first ballet class tonight, as she's under 3 they get the grown ups to join in, so I did something, can't say it was overly strenuous though. Tomorrow should be better, hoping to take DD ice skating as she loved it last week, and then I have a 90 minute yoga class in the evening. So decided to start the 30 day squat and ab challenge today, just done my squats and my 14 month old daughter stands next to me and starts copying :rotfl:
Lol mine does that, it's so cute. She gets up and tells me she needs to do her yoga nowI was doing mine the other day and she tried to climb up onto my front leg in warrior 2 (picture a lunge if you're looking puzzled right now) - still not as scary as when she snuck under me then grabbed my middle and lifted her legs up from the floor in warrior 3 a few weeks ago (google it!) - nearly headbutted the french doors in my dramatic unbalancing act.
My DH is clueless too, to a degree. He just doesn't think about calories and eats what he wants, therefore makes what he fancies and I have to eat it! I can't complain about him making my lunches and most meals at the weekend though. I have told him I need to lose weight though so he's cutting back on food for my sake.
That said, he made a huge stir fry for lunch, it was really nice, and pretty healthy (I think?!) but I'm stuffed now! My march back to work was more of a pained waddle! :rotfl:
Didn't he used to be really into his health and fitness, always wanted you to go to the gym with him? Thought it would go hand in hand with micro-managing his diet, you've surprised me tbh saying he is a bit of a feeder! Not what you need!Eek you need a starting weight?

Could you pm it? I can just post your % lost per week, but I can't work it out without a % of what. I'm colouring in my spreadsheet red for anyone who wants their starting weight to remain secret so I don't post it by accident.I make soup in my slow cooker and it comes out fine.
My favourite at the moment is squash and red pepper soup.
1 butternut squash peeled, deseeded and cut into lumps
1 red onion
1 red pepper
1 clove of garlic
1 chicken stock cube (could be veggie stock but I'm allergic to it)
Boiling water quantity depends on how runny you want it
Bit of freshly ground black pepper
All shoved in the slow cooker on high for half day cooking or low if it will be left on all day
When all the veg is soft I drain some of the liquid and blitz it, and re-add the liquid if it's too thick
To make it extra nice you can then stir in a spoonful of extra light Philidepelphia or cheaper supermarket alternative.
It freezes well and makes lovely filling lunches for at work.
Sounds lovely will need to try this one.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I am starting too with a gradual cut back and increase in activity. Can't bare waste but some chocolate has been binned and the birds will benefit from some calories I really don't need - nearly 500 in 2 ordinary mince pies:(
Good luck with the IVF:)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

The way I look at it is if you loose, great, but if you've been trying and only have a tiny loss or stay the same that's good too - if you hadn't been trying you'd have gained weight this week.
I read something last night, a bit like Cinny's planning for family. If you tell yourself you need to be good until you loose x lbs you're highly likely to fail, however if you build in 'breaks' then you're much more likely to succeed. In a study of people assigned to diet until they reached goal, people who had one treat meal a month, one treat meal a week, a treat day a week, and a tiny treat every day the ones who did the best, by quite a way, were the group who had one treat meal a week. You can't go too crazy in one meal, it's unlikely to destroy all your good work for the rest of the week, and if there is something you really crave you can anticipate and know it's not too long to wait. I'm planning on a date night either next thursday or the one after, a cocktail and pudding included, and then on the 31st and 1st Feb I'll be taking two days off together for my 30th, I'm not going to dive headfirst into the cake, but I'm definitely going to have a piece, and a Sunday roast on my actual birthday, and probably a few drinks and possibly a meal the night before.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
