I wish I could stomach fruit and herbal teas but I just can't... I just hold them in my mouth and my throat closes up! I've tried all sorts too... they're just not for me!
I am forcing myself to drink more water though, I've gotten into a terrible habit of not having any at work! Yesterday I drank 4 glasses and must have burnt 100 calories running to and from the loo all day! :rotfl:
No more talk of McRibs or anything else McTasty please!
Kathyrnha, if you don't want to put your weight on here (and there's no reason not to, no-one here will judge and you need to own it if you want to beat it!), just PM Dinah. She has a fancy spreadsheet to work out % bodyweight lost so needs something to work with!Your soup recipe sounds lovely BTW.
Someone shared this link with me yesterday, might inspire some people looking for easy lunches? It's a bit hipster, being in a jar and all, but a good idea!
Cinny- I loooooooove coconut shrimp, do you buy it (where from?!) or make it? Whenever we make it, it just isn't right.
I'm going to download the squat challenge too! Need to get my jelly legs moving!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

I'm sure the idea would work just as well in a Tupperware tub wouldn't it? Think I might give it a goMay have to adapt slightly, don't think I've seen miso paste locally, no Chinese supermarkets nearby either...

Yeah, it'll work fine in any tub, the jar's just for looks and fun factor!
I've seen Miso paste in the ethnic section in my local Sainsbugs I think? We live in a small town and the ethnic section is barely a 6th of the aisle so it's hardly a big selection...

I had never even heard of a McRib until today - but now I really want one!
The noodles look lush Birdie, lots of room for experimentation too I would think? I've got last night's leftover pasta for lunch today, my office was sooo cold yesterday I had to bring something warm in today!
Definitely going to give that soup a try too kathrynha - I love my slow cooker and need to use it for more varied meals.
I got zero sleep last night thanks to cold-ridden DH so skipped the 30DS this morning, will have to do it tonight instead if I'm still awake otherwise today will be write off exercise wise as I am desk bound all day.
I definitely feel as though I have lost a couple of lbs though so am excited for tomorrow (mainly at the thought of updating my signature).
Those who are doing the 30 days abs, can you let me know how you find it? Not you lot that I'm worried about judging me, it's just the fact that if someone from another forum googled my username they would find it, and I know some people on other forums in real life. I will PM Dinah.
Got to say you lot all talking about exercise is making me want to do some.
I have a desk job, so little exercise all day. I have got as far as day 2 of the 30 day squat challenge in the past, and have a wii fit and an exercise bike gathering dust at home as well as various DVDs, but struggle with finding time and motivation at the end of a working day.
Concentrating on getting what I eat back on track post-Christmas and getting back in to the working routine this week, but will try to start including some exercise next weekZebras rock0 -
I make soup in my slow cooker and it comes out fine.
My favourite at the moment is squash and red pepper soup.
1 butternut squash peeled, deseeded and cut into lumps
1 red onion
1 red pepper
1 clove of garlic
1 chicken stock cube (could be veggie stock but I'm allergic to it)
Boiling water quantity depends on how runny you want it
Bit of freshly ground black pepper
All shoved in the slow cooker on high for half day cooking or low if it will be left on all day
When all the veg is soft I drain some of the liquid and blitz it, and re-add the liquid if it's too thick
To make it extra nice you can then stir in a spoonful of extra light Philidepelphia or cheaper supermarket alternative.
It freezes well and makes lovely filling lunches for at work.
Ooh, will put this on the list too! Love a good soup  Although I can't have it by itself, I got some 1% fat 18cal crackers to have with it. I just need something chew-able to make it feel like I've have a real meal :rotfl:
I'm sure the night tea was mostly peppermint, Lulu! I really liked it but I've had stomach pains since. Don't know if that's good or bad?Tete really generously sent me 5 days worth so I'll report back! (I also got a cool cat sticker)
Will look for the ab and push up challenges! Squats done for today, had a cheeky look tomorrow and it's 90  lalala, not listening.
Those noodles look neat, Birdie!! With only working half days I have no use for rad lunch box ideas. And I've also really got no excuse to not exercise in the afternoons.. damn
And on that note, decided to aim for 20 minutes on the cross trainer and 40 minutes on the bike this afternoon0 -

The night one is meant to have an *ahem* laxative effect which is probably why your stomach hurts! Apparently that's why you have the night time one every other day. I am loving this peppermint tea, though. I have 60 bags but when I run out I might treat myself to some fancy ones as it will be my sugar replacement!
I do like the 30 Day Challenges, I like that the app doesn't just end at 30 days, you can level up!
Making OH make my dinner for when I get home from work and I've told him it needs to be under 600 calories (ideally 400 so I can have a snack too!). He's clueless, bless him, even though he's meant to be dieting too!Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

To be fair I am pretty clueless as well :rotfl: I dont do calorie counting because I just dont have the patience for it.
Wont get much chance for exercise, stuck in the house with the kids all day because its raining. Have done my squats and sit ups and will try and get 30 minutes in on the wii once the kids are in bed tonight, but wont have much time for anymore because there is a pile of ironing waiting for meBiggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
