I got my weight wrong! I'm 178lb
Also started the squat challenge to (hopefully) see some quick body changes! I just downloaded the free app if anyone wants to join me
Fully starting the changes tomorrow, planned my breakfast juice and will do the squat challenge before I have my morning walk, then pop myself on the cross trainer for 30 minutes.
And don't forget to (at least try to) love the body you're in despite the changes you want to see! Body positivity for all :A Happy New Year and good luck everyone!0 -
Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »Ok, ok, you've got me on the alliteration of Weekly Wednesday Weigh-in. But then in that case, why is the first weigh-in on a Friday?? Should we not give our start weight tomorrow?
Anyway. Perhaps I'm over-thinking it all
Dinah - 1/3 of your body weight?! Jeez Louise there'll be nothing left of you! I've worked mine out at 1/6 of my body weight to lose which is daunting enough!!
Way overthinking it! Started weigh in on the Friday as a lot of people go out celebrating on New Years Eve, or have meals with family on New Years day. I'm a firm believer that the biggest thing for a diet to work is the right mindset, and you're never going to have that if you fall down on the first day.
You haven't seen me lately, I think only Birdie has seen me since Baby B. Only aiming to get down to where I was post Baby G, I was lookng at a photo of my on my 28th Birthday last night, I was teeny and very happy! Don't think I can manage that again in the month before my 30th though.apple_muncher wrote: »Are you lovely people going to put your weight loss in your signature? I was thinking about using initials and ended up with TUBi (yep, missed off the L as it made me giggle!)...
Reckon I'll weigh myself tomorrow, to start on a weds.
Many thanks to Dinah for setting this up and running it. xx
Lol loving the acronym.cyberthrifty wrote: »I'm looking forward to officially getting started. My main downfall is chocolate, especially in the evenings. I can be fine and determined all day, pop to get some milk from the shop of an evening and end up with 2 chocolate bars then realise what I have done halfway through eating the 2nd one!!
We're nearly ready to get going, so what are we all planning on doing to get to our targets? I have a Fitbit Flex so can count my steps daily, I plan on upping my daily target on that. I also have a cross trainer that will be used as more than just a clothes holder and I will be doing the 30 day shred (on Youtube, so free) but it will be a 90 day shred to start with as last time I did 1 day and was in agony for about a week.
I usually weigh myself in kg, not because I know what x amount of kg is in stones but because I can see a weight loss even when it's only 100g. I think it's cheating though!
I use myfitnesspal (Dinah93, anyone who is on there please feel free to add me) but for the first week I'm doing the Jason Vale supercharge juicing plan, I am so sodding tired all the time I'm hoping it will give me some energy. I already do yoga most days but that won't burn many calories so going to start 30 Day Shred as well (should have started today, now day 30 is my birthday - boohoo!). Went for a walk yesterday and today but with a 2 year old it's not exactly quick or far, more a potter about while screaming 'Don't jump in the stream! No molehills are NOT for eating! How the frick did you get up there so fast?!' and trying to stop the baby escaping his slingy prison (if ever there was a baby who liked the warm and dry it's my son, my daughter despises being indoors... it can be a challenge to keep them both happy!).. sorry that turned into a ramble and a half.shrimpy_80 wrote: »Tete this did make me laugh! I'm tempted to weigh in tomorrow as I'm itching to get started but I know I will be eating and drinking loads over the next couple of days. I'm also back at work on Friday so figure I'll be depressed enough already in the morning! We are a faff aren't we? I bet Dinah is tearing her hair out already :rotfl: I usually do stones and pounds but guessing it will be easier for you if we all stick to just lbs Dinah? Also agree with Tete, a third of you seems like a lot?
I'm going to have to convert everyone to pounds as I don't think excel has a particular love of the imperial system. Highly doubt it will give me a percentage if I put stones in.Hi Dinah,
Thanks for all the hardwork I think you may have missed me out. It was post number 16. I lost 40 pounds between August 2012 and middle of 2013. I managed to keep it all off till April this year when I went on holiday and gained about 20 pounds. I am now on another holiday and eating like food is going out of fashion.. I figure I have about 25 pounds to lose but I won't know for sure until I get back on the 5th and weigh in on the 6th/7th. I will see if it is possible to get my hands on a scale before then so I know just how much damage I have done.
Very sorry, have added you in now. Enjoy your holiday!I'm afraid to say NIM was right, Dinah! There wasn't any reason other than I thought it might be nice to gain weight for a year, instead of constantly trying to lose it! 400lb might have just been a little ambitious :A
That's over 25stone! You were certainly no more than 12stone last time I saw you and I think a lot less. That's not eating what you fancy that's force feeding yourself lard through a hose for 22 hours a day!IvyandEleanor wrote: »Hiya, could I join please? I've decided 2015 is MY year. I'm going to cut back on working so hard and focus on finding Mr Right so I can hopefully start a family of my own, buy a house etc and eat healthier. I have a lot of debt to shift and about 1.5 stone to lose so here goes! I've done it before and I can do it again. Happy New Year everyone _party_
Wow that's a lot to achieve in 365 days, but I wish you all the luck in the world that 2015 brings you all you hope for.
Anyone else missing please yell. Tomorrow the new year really begins. I've had my last ice cream and glass of coke, I'm ready to do this. Dreading the sugar withdrawal headache though, but I've had more migraines than I should have had lately so I hope this can give me some relief by eating more healthily.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Thanks Dinah, if I can do all that in 2015 then it'd be a miracle! :rotfl: I think my first priority is just getting out there and meeting people, either joining online dating sites or just not saying NO to any invitation from friends. I love your signature as it gives me hope that in a couple of years I could have a wonderful husband and family too :A I do have a date with a pilot coming up but we'll have to see how it goes
I hope your sugar withdrawal isn't too bad. I'm not sure when I'm supposed to do my first weigh so I'll recheck the thread but I'd planned to weigh and measure myself tomorrow morning anywayxxx

I was wondering why I woke up with a massive headache this morning and have only just realised that it's probably down to the sugar detox! Feeling a lot better now after some sleep and a healthy dinner. I only had a few days of what I had to put down to sugar withdrawal, and I found drinking loads of water helped. I dilute non-sparkling flavoured water with tap water - about one-third flavours, two-thirds tap - as I'm not a fan of plain water at home. This does mean I'm still getting a bit of sugar from that, but nothing compared to the cakes, sweets and biscuits I was ditchingCheryl0

Dinah93 I have added you on myfitnesspal. If anyone wants to add me (please do!) my username is "helenlouisecallaghan" imaginative I know!
I know what you all mean regarding sugar withdrawal, I am already feeling the effects! Not much exercise for me today, just a womble round the shop with my children. And now I feel like I'm coming down with a cold, the perfect start to my New Year lol.
IvyandEleanor don't put too much pressure on yourself. That said, I am a firm believer in the power of positive thinking so believe in yourself and go for it. Hi all...weigh in is 234 lbs, actually better than I thought so here goes...onwards and downwards. I stopped smoking Dec 2013 and actually only put on about 6lbs so this is the year to lose that and more!
Take care all.

Well how is everyone this morning ?
I did the 5k park run its a really hard one as the last 1k is all up hill  and a very steep hill as well,Who the hell ever said Norfolk is flat as I can tell you they are lying :rotfl:
I too am suffering with the dreaded sugar withdrawal headache which thankfully has gone a bit now with the extra water I am trying to drink.
Will go back out and do the park run again tomorrow and try to do a bit of a faster time (or maybe do it backwards ):rotfl:
But in all seriousness I may go round it and then do it backwards to do 10k in total mad I know but when I start a fitness campaign I do like to do it in a challenging way.
I have now also joined a running club which train on Tuesday and Thursday so will go at least one of the nights.
Anyway enough of my waffle but if I write it on here it goes in my head and I will stick to it moreI hope !
Good luck to all and keep updating as it really helps you and everyone else.
