I'll be watching the eclipse this morning, its reasonably clear here to fingers crossed!!! I think I was about 9 last time, and I do remember where I stood watching it through a viewer made with toilet rolls :rotfl:
feisty :j for the house, I'm keeping my fingers crossed it goes smoothly for you and *high five* for the new car!!! Take the delay in IVF as a gift to have a relax and get other things sorted out :)
princesskitty awww poor little one, I really hope that wiggle manages to settle soon. Have fun setting the easter egg hunt too :T I miss doing this!!!

I need some wedding assistance if anyone if available to have a peek at these two dresses for me? :) We are having a semi-formal wedding (church and then marquee reception with sit down meal and seating plan then evening is quite laid back, hog roast and disco) and I have ordered these short bridesmaid dresses

Which they all like and I think are really pretty. My colours are blush, cream and silver/grey. Are they ''formal'' enough or would a longer dress like

Be more suitable? I'm sure I am stressing about nothing and that the shorter ones are fine  :rotfl:
Any opinions are greatly received :)

I like both, but as you are going "semi-formal" I would go with the ones ordered, they cover both options.

newthrift - In my opinion the I like the first dresses better then the longer ones. I wouldn't be stressing if they like them and you like them then you are on a winner. :)

Feisty - everything seems to be working out - all coming together nicely and as someone else said the stress of all that is going on won't help so this would seem like a twist of fate that has gone in your favour. give you a chance to take a breathe and relax more for IVF to work. fingers and toes crossed for you my lovely.

murie - how did the presentation go for the patient. Hope all went well. didn't seem nice whet your DD had to go through but how brave of her to try and hide it.

freespirit - yes we get jingle bells, happy birthday, twinkle twinkle and wind the bobbin up and more recently five little ducks - sometimes we even get a remixed version where we get a few lines of all of them. and do you know what his favourite night time story is - and wants it read EVERY night - the night before Christmas( which he calls the santa story) we know off by heart - no book needed lol

princesskitty - hope wiggles wee toothypegs make an appearance and quickly too. my son seemed to be teething for about 2 years bless him. not nice when you can't do much for them. thank goodness we don't seem to remember it down the line.

managed to "see" a little of the eclipse this morning but it was very cloudy here in good old Northern Ireland and I didn't have proper specs to watch it safely anyway. Glad I managed to be a part of it a little since it wont happen again for quite a while and it just so happens that on a Friday my son comes with me to work as his Friday crèche is just round the corner so he got to "see" it go dark too.

    I prefer the shorter one.

newthrift - I love both the long and the short... Both are suitable for semi formal... If pushed I think personally prefer the shorter I just think they are really cute, and the long says beach or meadow to me. Both are lovely though, and both dresses which could be worn again! Which is something I love of a bridesmaid dress!

freespirit66 - I'm ok thankyou. It has definitely kept me busy doing my new streets, and gran would have liked it that I was taking people she knew books :) .

Funeral plans have been made, and I've accidentally agreed to read some stuff... I don't like public speaking, but my cousin is, and of the 3 of us I am the most likely to make it through so figured I better had lol.
And we decided on the same poem as we had at my nannys funeral, which I can't even read sat in our lounge so I bowed out of that one quickly.

I didn't watch the eclipse myself, I remember watching the last one though :)

Newthrift Both dresses are lovely, but I do prefer the shorter one. :)

newthrift- I think I prefer the shorter ones too. I love your colour scheme.
Fiesty- Congrats on the house and the new car. As others have said, its seems that you've been given a bit of a breather to de stress as much as poss, and get you both in the best 'place' for IVF x

Pixitots- don't feel as if you HAVE to speak if its not something you're
comfortable about. Your nan will know how you feel x. Its an extra stress at an already difficult time.

Princesskitty and Kiwi13- she doesn't get her results for another 3 weeks, but she said it went pretty badly so fingers crossed. On the plus side the hospital has said she has healed amazingly quickly, not even a tiny hint of Marlon Brando now! I hope Wiggles teeth come through quickly- its awful knowing they're hurting and there's not much you can do to help.

On the Christmas front I picked up my Tesco order of mens sheepskin slippers (in the sale for £12) for DD's BF. That's another thing off the list.

Did anyone else feel that the eclipse felt eerie? All the birds stopped singing and everywhere seemed spookily quiet. DH remarked on it when he came home too- and he works in another city.
    Hugs to everyone xx

I noticed the lack of bird noise during the eclipse and DH rang me to say it actually went colder where he was.

Newthrift I like both dresses so I'd say go with the one you've chosen - especially if the bridesmaids like it as well, that's definitely a bonus lol.

Sympathy on the teething Wiggle and Princess Kitty.

Feisty, congratulations on the house and I too think the delay in the IVF is so that you can focus on that separately. We have had motability cars for about the past ten years as DH receives the higher rate mobility component of DLA. Unfortunately this will come to an end when he is reassessed for PIP as he wasn't 65 when it was introduced but will be when he is assessed so he won't qualify. Oh well, back to the older cars again.

I watched the partial eclipse this morning - it was so cloudy here I was able to see it all just by looking as the clouds blocked out the glare. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't get darker than it did - think I'd have liked a complete blackout really lol. I was glad I saw it though. I just wish I lived far enough north to see the Northern Lights the other night, seeing them is on my bucket list :D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
