Ooh, forgot to say, the big news is that I've just bought the bike I've been looking for - got it on ebay and like the others I've seen it was miles away from me but this one is able to courier so really happy and can't wait for it to arrive. :j (Keeping fingers crossed nothing goes wrong). We got DGD a lovely bike from the local Facebook selling page a few weeks ago so we're planning to go bike riding together if the weather is ok when she comes up for Easter. She's only 5 and can't ride a two-wheeler without stabilisers at the moment but we're hoping it won't be too long before she can do without them. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0

Evening everyone, its been such a lovely day here today, but i think everyone had the same idea of getting out, it was busy everywhere
FEISTY it does sound like a stressful week i hope it goes quickly for you and DH

mandco glad the meds are working for you, I do hope you adjust soon and don't feel so tired all the time. Try not to worry about putting weight on, you can deal with that when you're better and more able.
freespirit the mastitis has all cleared up, thanks for asking. I am trying to wean wiggle off breastfeeding by 9 months but it's going to be very tricky. The daytime is fine as he's not really interested since he started eating food but he usually still needs a feed once during the night. Or maybe he doesn't, but has a mega meltdown and it seems to be the only thing that calms him down and sends him back to sleep!
feisty oh I do hope you get a break soon from all these things you have to deal with. I do hope your week goes as smoothly as it can with what you've got going on. x
icemice hello! I remember you from the previous thread. I am so sorry to hear you had a stroke, how awful for you. That must have come as a mighty shock. It sounds like you are taking steps to get back on track and I do hope life becomes easier for you. I'm impressed you've got your cards all written - I say every year i'm going to do mine earlier and never quite manage it! Because we had a young baby last year I ended up getting pre-printed ones so I didn't have to write any! That was a saviour!
Peppapig yay for finding a bike! :j It sounds like you and DGD have some lovely times ahead of you.
Thanks for all of your well wishing re the teething, one has cut through and he has another on the way. We were up 6/7 times last night including two meltdowns at 11pm and 3am, then we've all been awake since 5am. In fact he seems to have settled into a pattern of waking up every day at 5am and won't go back to sleep. I don't mind so much if we've slept through till then or he's only had one wake up but on top of 6/7 it's quite hardcore!
We didn't see any of the eclipse as we had thick, dense cloud here but it did go quite dull. Typically about an hour later we had clear blue skies and bright sunshine! Oh well, we experienced the atmosphere and i'm going to write it in wiggle's memory book. He was more interested in his toys of course but I did tell him about it!
I had a bit of time out yesterday to pamper my feet with the foot spa (heaven) and I watched 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'! I don't normally watch Christmas films until October/November time but I watch this every year and didn't get chance last year. It's been niggling at me ever since so I thought i'd pop it on! It was a bit strange watching it in March but I do love it.0 -

You know me so well:rotfl: yes they started two weeks ago, have decided to be more selective and not fill the house but this week came back with a travel cot, a baby seat and some adorable little newborn sized baby clothes, plan is to have the travel cot and baby seat here to save DD2 lugging stuff over when she visits, and the clothes were just too cute to leave. Lady I bought them off said they were too small for hers by the time she was given them so we're never worn - 20p each so real bargain.
If anyone wants me to look out for anything they are struggling to find let me know. I still keep looking for the charmed board game but can't remember who wanted it.:o
Bought a lovely soap & glory set off a trader, so that's a friends birthday sorted.
Neighbours birthday today so got to nip out for flowers in a bit.
Hope everyone is wellSPC~12 ot 124

:hello: Thanks for the welcome greetings everyone. Nice to be 'home'!
PrincessKitty I'm amazed that anyone remembers me! Haha! :rotfl: Thanks also for the add to the birthday list 3ForHolidays.
The cards were all done before the end of December and I've since printed some Christmas stamp labels from justsomethingImade(dotcom) to seal them all with.
My pressie list is sorted on a spreadsheet and somehow exceeds 60 people. I need to get at least one pressie per week on average, so sales, offers and homemade bits are all needed. Luckily, many can be bought for well in advance and I do try to make plenty of festive jams, fruit gin, mini Christmas cakes etc as mains / top ups / last minute visiting-gifts.
A friend today said that she didn't know where to hide the kids' easter eggs and when I 'suggested' that she could use the airing cupboard, she initially thought it was a great idea until she twigged that I was being sarcastic! Oh well!
Peppa, hope that you enjoy the bike rides
Hoping that all the aches, pains and disasters are all things of the past for everyone very soon. It's not always easy to keep smiling and be strong but problems shared always feel a bit more bearable.0 -
Evening everyone, earlyish night for me tonight as i have little man from 7 in the morning til 6 while DD2 gets another catch up day at work done :T:T i was so mad at myself today i had to throw out 4 pork chops that i had forgotten about and were 2 days out of date, what a blooming waste of money
PRINCESSKITTY oh im so glad it has cleared up now, oh bless him, its nothing but decisions isnt it, when to start weaning, when to put them into their cot in their own room, when to introduce new foods, etc then all of a sudden it clicks with them. Oh i bet he looks cute with his new toothyou must be shattered, can you catch up a bit in the day when he has a nap?
I have never watched Nightmare Before Christmas, i bought it last year and still havent watched it!
MRSMONEYPENNY i thought of you when i saw our local one being advertised and i know you get some fab bargains. Yes i have various pieces of baby equipment here to stop DD2 having to drag it all over every time and especially when i start having him 2 days a week when she goes back to work it just makes things so much easier. Wow fab bargain on the baby clothes, it must be nearly time for DGC to be born isnt it? I think it was CHRISSY who wanted the Charmed game for her DD but not sure???#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
mrs-moneypenny it's great that you will have baby stuff at your house, my parents and parents-in-law have things at theirs and I can't tell you how useful it is not having to pack stuff up in the car!
freespirit I don't find it easy to nap when he does as he only has 30 mins (you can set your clock to it!) and it would take me that long to get to sleep. I know it will pass one day so keep hanging on to that. YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS??! I can't believe it! It's a film that divides people, not everyone likes it. Some see it more as a Halloween film but I like to watch it at Christmas.0 -
Morning all
As you can tell I'm really excited at the thought of the baby, due a week yesterday!!!!!
I thought it was chrissy who mentioned the charmed game, I have a list in my head of things people are looking out for.
I got my Easter eggs sorted last week and we got DD2 a bangle for her birthday we've told her we will have it engraved once baby has arrived with hers and babies names inside as it has two flat edges that are just crying out to have names on.
Not much Christmassy going on I'm in birthday mode at the mo, it was DD2 last weekend, DS2 is in the next couple of weeks, then with Easter and the babe it's a busy time.
I hope everyone is as well as they can be and has happy things or things to look forward to going on in their own lives.SPC~12 ot 124
