    welcome icemice

freespirit poor DD its hard enough leaving him without stupid comments like that  I can understand that some grandparents may not want to be free childcare full time but the majority of them like you love being able to have that special time together.

peppapig congrats on the new bike bet you can't wait for it to arrive

chrissyg good to hear dd physio & meds are working

princesskitty congrats on ds getting his 1st tooth. Broken nights are one of the worst parts esp when they power nap during the day it does get better just try and take 10 mins to put your feet up while he's napping even if you can't sleep the rest makes a difference its far to easy to think well I can't sleep so I might aswell get xyz done instead and you end up exhausted.

having spent all day tues shifting furniture & getting myself stressed out over the fact I had workmen coming in weds they never turned up and didn't bother to let me know either  now they are meant to be coming next wk so gotta do it all again well other than move the furniture as apart from a couple of must haves I haven't put it back yet. On the plus side the migraine it triggered has gone already thanks to my new meds & a few hours sleep plus I don't actually feel too bad today which is amazing :D:D

on the present front I did find some bayliss & harding gift sets down to £2.50 is asda socks & moisteriser /showergel & soap so that is a couple more in the stash box.

hope everyone ok catch up soon tc all
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

    Evening everyone,

ICEMICE i keep hearing people saying winter is back but didnt realise snow was involved, it has turned colder down here but no more than that, all i keep hearing is a heatwave at Easter  love the sound of your mini christmases, what do you actually do on these days? That must have taken a lot of hard work and dedication on your part to walk again after being told you wouldnt, well done on your determination to get there. It was me who does the steps on a pedometer i have doubled it but it is still pathetic compared to peoples normal days. I cant stand Katie Hopkins i hate people who are just vile to other people and she gets paid for it, she is so nasty.

MANDCO thankyou, oh blimey yes i can understand it isnt for all grandparents, my DD2 has a friend who has a baby about the same age as PRINCESSKITTYS wiggle, and she only works 2 days a week but her mum refuses to get out of bed to help and makes her put him in nursery and then her mum will pick him up about 1pm for a couple of hours!!! Oh no wonder you got a migraine that is exactly what happens to me in situations like that, and then you worry all week until the next time  im glad the new meds really are making a difference

    Hello lovely people!

    How are you all?
I got back from Amsterdam last night. Was an amazing holiday! It was stressful on the build up as I spent ten days in hospital very poorly and then London hospital wanted me transferred there for possible surgery instead of giving me a lumbar puncture to allow me on my trip , after many calls from me and the doctor at local hospital finally worked and it did the trick! I am back now and trying to a bit healthier and working on Uni stuff lol.
How is everyone? Hugs all round. x

Btw does anyone use a fitbit?x

Lovely to see you back JJ and so glad you had a lovely break in Amsterdam. Do we know about this 'kinda' other half? I think Feisty uses the fitbit and another couple of people but can't remember who.

Thanks for all the good wishes about the bike. It arrived on Wednesday - unfortunately a scratch on the front fork and paint chipped on the front mudguard. I contacted the seller to let them know but it seems like it might have been done by the bike shop that packaged and sent it for them. I'll never really know but I'm chalking it up to experience because I totally and absolutely love the bike. Been out on it for the first time today - only a little local ride down to my Mum's but my poor old legs were still aching by the time I got back lol.:D
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :

morning, sorry for not posting in a while, but RL is taking up a lot of my energy, and as it is all negative stuff, it has no place on our merry christmas to you thread.
My first batch of seeds have germinated, and grown big enough to prack out -should replace the 'a' with 'i' cos they dont allow that word on the board! They are now snug in the greenhouse and the second batch are cooking nicely.
Nev the shred has been, and has said he will wash the conservatory down and sparkle it up for summer. Grass had its first cut, and the winter flowering pots got a dose of blood fish and bone so they will last another month.
As it is filthy wet outside today l suppose l should do some housework.
