Morning on this very blustery day (for 'blustery' read 'gale force' winds across my local park this morning when I was there with the hound). Hope everyone is well and that the latest round of coughs colds and lurgy hasn't brought everyone down x.

I haven't done much on the Christmas front but I did have a lovely week last week. On Wednesday we went to see Chic (70's disco) in concert which was fantastic and on Friday DD treated me Mom and Sis to our Mothers Day treat of an afternoon tea in Stratford Upon Avon at a lovely 1940's themed tea room, cleverly named The FourTeas. If anyone is in the area then I really recommend going (although you do need to book cus its massively popular). We all had a fab time, and even the weather was good! In fact so good we stopped off in Henley in Arden for an ice cream.
I cant remember who asked about how DD got on with her presentation after her wisdom tooth was removed, but she got her grade on Friday too and it was 62%- considering she couldn't speak clearly I think its bl**dy fantastic but she's not happy cus it brings her average down.

I have all Easter eggs sorted, cards made and food more or less planned, the only down side is that DS has to work on Easter Sunday and DD has to work on bank Holiday Monday.

I didn't realise it was earth day either so didn't take part although I have in previous years.

Hope everyone has a good day, take care xx
    lovin' this site!

    Morning ,

I managed to get the dog out before the torrential rain started thank god but I did get quite wound up ,A man who lives opposite but never really speaks suddenly today decided to have a chat about how his safety boots need replacing ! what a coincidence that I work somewhere that sells them and can get 20% discount  I just muttered something about Windsor's selling them and walked away.

I am making cakes later I have to use up the oranges that DD said she would eat but never did.

We don't do Easter here now ,we have decided to have a takeaway on Friday instead.

Nothing on the Christmas front but DD's 18th is all sorted all we have to do is pick up her cake on the 24th.

The trip to York will include a visit to the Christmas shop:j

Thank you yes, I was lucky and was out during a dry spell.
It's been really windy here most of the day and the hailstones were unbelievable!

    See you all, tomorrow.

Freespirit its so amazing watching them swim hope he enjoyed it even if he wasn't keen on the underwater bit very few are

got a busy wk with lots of end of term/easter stuff scheduled so think I'll be ready for a break by friday too.

had a totally random conversation in asda today the guy on the checkout commented on how well behaved taz was( would'nt have said that 10 mins earlier when he was in full meltodwn mode)then proceeded to ask me how many kids I have and wether they have the same dad  was kind of shocked and never said anything just paid and left but thinking about it afterwards I was like how inappropriate was that and what business of his was it anyway? not sure if I should make a complaint but don't like to make a fuss.

hope your all doing ok in this awful weather take care

Hi all, been AWOL as we spent a few nights down in Chichester for our 2nd wedding anniversary. Unfortunately we didn't get up to much as the weather was so bad but wiggle was an absolute dream and so well behaved, we even went out for a pub lunch on our actual wedding anniversary and he was smiling at everyone!

I hope you're all ok, I have quickly read back and am sending lots of hugs and well wishes to those that need them.

freespirit you go on enjoying looking after the little man and tell your DD to ignore those ladies, they are not worth her time. I can understand it's upsetting for her but she should rise above people like that. We don't live near any grandparents which is a struggle sometimes, so we are actually planning to move near one set of grandparents later in the year - we just don't know which ones yet! It all depends on DH and his job. My parents are in Gloucestershire and his are in Bedfordshire. I don't mind either as I get on really well with his parents too. When we move I won't expect them to always help out, but I get the feeling that they would absolutely love to! They always jump at the chance to look after him for an hour or take him for a walk. To be honest on the difficult days it would just be lovely to pop round somewhere for a cup of tea while they have wiggle for a cuddle. We shall see!

Oh blimey I am WAY behind on my new years resolutions - and they were going so well! :( I'm going to have to cook lots of recipes to catch up and do two Pinterest things this month.

mandco gosh what a thing to ask someone! Why on earth would he ask such a question??! You could always email the store, even if you can't remember who it was the manager could have a word with his staff to tell them it's inappropriate!

Mandco, it wasn't the most appropriate convo he could of had with a customer but I don't think he meant any offence by it, some people just don't engage brain before letting the mouth loose.
I was talking to an elderly lady on the bus years ago who it turned out knew my mum in law, she asked where I lived and when I told her she said "oh you must live near that young Irish catholic girl with the brood of kids, my friends told me about her" turns out that was me, I hadn't realsied that because me and hubby had chosen to have five children it was assumed I must be Catholic, really not sure where the Irish bit came from as I'm Lincolnshire born I don't see what business it is of anyone else's how many children me and my husband had, he works hard and I look after them so it annoyed me to think we were the subject of gossip. But the way I see it is if someone's talking about me they are giving someone else a break.
No offence to anyone Irish or Catholic is meant at all by this post.

Anyone with a Lego fan this might be an idea - The seller is from Hong Kong so it takes a while to arrive but I have bought from them before without any problems.

Mandco I agree that was really inappropriate but I think Mrs M is right - some people don't have the same boundaries that we might have. Also I think these days so many people do have several children with several dads he probably looks on it as quite a 'normal' thing to say.

PrincessKitty, really glad you had a nice time even if the weather wasn't all that.

MrsM - had to laugh at the Irish catholic girl who isn't actually either :D

My sister and I had a near death experience yesterday in the high winds. We'd been out with the dogs and were just walking back along one of the more rural roads in the village when we heard a crack. We both just instinctively ran as fast as we could and when we turned back we saw a tree in someone's garden split into two and half of it fell almost exactly where we'd been when we heard it crack. Talk about a close shave. Definitely keeping away from trees in high winds in future - not easy round here as we live right by the woods.
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
