My DD was really annoyed with one of her subs, she ordered a 32f bra which they subbed for a 36f as they didn't have any 32s in the colour she wanted. Really why you anyone even think that was acceptable???
Finished knitting a matinee jacket last night for a work friends sister and done the personalisation on the cross stitch I've done for a retirement gift.
Hope everyone has a fantastic Easter weekend.SPC~12 ot 124

Ha ha Mrs M - ridiculous isn't it. It's the main reason I stopped using the online shop for groceries - invariably the item they didn't have was the main one that I wanted and I decided if I had to go out and get that I might as well get the lot and pick the things with good sell-by dates etc.
Went out for while with DGD and my sister on our bikes today - only round to my Mum but DGD loved it, bless her. Little Easter egg hunt at DD's tomorrow with DGD and the two DGSs then taking DGD home. Has been a lovely few days and I'll miss her a lot but must admit will be nice to be able to get up at a reasonable timeIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -

:bdaycake:HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMEYTURTLE :bdaycake:
Evening everyone, hope everyone is having a lovely Easter, have been baking and chilling out in equal measurei watched The 100ft Journey today with Helen Mirren, i really enjoyed it, it was one of those easy going films
LAZYSHEEP its unbelievable isnt it?? Creme eggs on sale boxing day and then when its easter you cant find anything, someone said they were having trouble finding mini eggs, well i know from years ago they just disappear so i always get them early for decorating cakes with. But yes you are right i was in one of those s*d it moods for treating us this weekend so it was a good job there wasnt anything leftooh i will look out for those shower gels, thankyou
GETTINGTHEREQUICKLY yes isnt it therapeutic decluttering
The trouble is they all lie and evade answering properly you just tend to end up trusting no one, yes you have a valid point there, but as usual they dont look that far down the line with new rules until it all crashes down around them. No i didnt watch it but i did see Brotherhood of Man on the news the other day and couldnt believe how old one of them looked
MRSMONEYPENNY its laughable isnt it some of the subs they put in, there used to be a thread on MSE about what people had been given as subs and what they were replacing, it was hilarious, i used to sit in hysterics reading itIs DD2 still hanging in there?
PEPPAPIG ah bless her, im glad you got to go out on your bikes together

Just wanted to pop in to wish you all and your families a Very Happy, Peaceful, Healthy and Safe Easter. :easter_os
Our plans have went a bit pear shaped, a few things happening here in our area. A poor family down the street from us are critically ill in hospital after a fire at home. A young mum and dad, and their 3 month old baby girlThankfully baby is now doing well last we heard but mum and dad aren't too good ATM.
We've been praying with all our hearts for a friend of ours who has been on life support since last Sunday, and just got word an hour or so ago to say that she has lost her fightSo Heaven has gained a very special angel tonight:A
Not sure what our plans will be now, as my heart just isn't in it now TBH. But will have to try and carry on as normal for the kiddies. We had planned a day trip out next week but will now have to wait and see when the funeral is 1st and work around that :-(
Life definitely has a way of putting perspective on things, and makes you realise we worry about stupid things and don't pay attention to the more important things in life. After this past few days in our area, I'll definitely be looking at things differently again.Pay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%0 -

HAPPY EASTER! I hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend.
IrishRose I am so sorry to hear about your friend, that is awful news for you. I can understand why this weekend won't be the same for you, hopefully having activities with the children will help distract you. Also that poor family in your street, what a horrible thing to happen, I do hope they both recover fully. It is true what you say, you never know what is going to happen and we must be grateful for what we have. I am very strict with myself, if I ever start moaning about something that's pretty inconsequential I always remind myself of what I do have and how lucky I am. We all get caught up in thinking about things we don't have sometimes and forget to enjoy what we do have. I'm thinking of you and wishing you lots of strength. x
freespirit ooh what recipes are you making? I hope they all turn out well for you. I really want to watch The 100ft Journey, I shall have to see if it's in the list of movies on demand. I love any films that involve food! One of my favourites is Julie & Julia.
CHRISSYG I didn't manage to watch the debate. I like to hear about parties policies but I get really annoyed with all the playground accusations all the time. I have no idea who to vote for, i'd really like to read a non-biased overview of each party to help me decide, I must look into it!
mrs-moneypenny oooh it's getting exciting in your household waiting for the little grandchild! I bet you're on tenderhooks!
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY AMEYTURTLE! :bdaycake:
We've been away again for a couple of nights at my parents-in-law so now looking forward to a couple of days at home. DH has just done his Easter egg hunt with wiggle.I didn't get anything, but I expected that! DH feels really bad now. It's lucky he's amazing in lots of other ways so he's off the hook. ;)Anyway it's more about spending time with family this weekend and we have already received way too much chocolate than we need with more on the way! We've got a bit of beef so we're having a roast beef dinner with homemade Yorkshire pudding today. I don't have anything for pudding but i'm sure our chocolate cupboard will suffice! Is it bad that we've just had a mini Cadbury's egg with our morning cup of tea? :EasterBun
Enjoy your day everyone whatever you're doing, and if you're going through a troubled time I hope you find some solace being with family. xxx0 -
Hi sorry haven't posted recently, must try to do better. What a dreadful thing to happen, l really fear fire!
Have been really busy in the greenhouses, the new one is now full to bursting with bedding plants, and the older one is also well filled. Every year l say l am not doing as many, but if something germinates l feel that l have to pot it on, so although l may need 50 petunias, if 500 germinate l finish up with.... you guessed it.
Went out for a couple of hours with DD yesterday, just to give her a break from being with her DH, who had his first lot of chemo 10 days ago. Tomorrow l am off on a jolly with DGS his dad and the grandma sister. Going to primrose valley in a caravan! (in April, in England, in a tin shack, l must be in sane!!!)
lt will be nice for DGS to have us all with him, he will get spoiled for choice.
Christmas wise, l got my DGN a lego set, reduced from £49.99 to £19.99, in the argos clear out. Another one bites the dust! ha!
Off to talk to the plants now, have a happy easter everyone. xxx0 -
Mrs I - Enjoy your trip not far from there is a lovely lavender place, its not very big but its very pretty and has some lovely gifts.
Irishrose- So very sorry to hear about all the bad news ,fingers crossed the family make a speedy recovery.
There's not much happening here I am just having a cuppa before I take the dog out [if I can get him out of bed !] All I have to do today really is washing and cook the pork that is currently getting tipsy in a nice bottle of cider.
