mrsinvisible I do hope DSiL is not suffering too much through his chemo. My friend has just finished chemo and she is doing well. I think the weather is supposed to warm up now so hopefully you should be ok for your break! Have a lovely time, you deserve it. x
springdreams thanks so much for that website, that was what I was looking for. When I've got 5 minutes i'll take a proper look. Thanks.
CHRISSYG it doesn't feel long until June! Although I don't seem to get my catalogue for ages after everyone else, not sure how they stagger sending it out. My surname begins with 'S' so that might be why!
freespirit wow your recipes sound amazing! I want to come and eat at your house!I have to get on with mine this week, i'm making a pasta dish from a Jamie Oliver book and deep fried camembert from a Lorraine Pascale book. I've got loads to catch up on!
msgigglewick it's a great present for your brother if he's really excited about it! Have a good time.
fluffysox I hope everything goes ok with the sale this time. It sounds like you've had some lovely family time with more coming up.
Well it's supposed to be a bit warmer today thank goodness! Wiggle had his first curry yesterday, a chicken curry (traditional Easter food!) so i'm going to make him a batch of that to go in the freezer. I desperately need to re-pot my little salad plants i'm growing so need to get that done whilst DH is at home. We might pop to Cliveden, a National Trust place, if it is a nice day. I hope you're all still enjoying the weekend and haven't overdosed on too much chocolate!

Freespirit I'm currently on target with my competition posts as I only need to enter an average of 130 a day. I'll let you know if I have any wins. I'm not entering for everything, just for things that I could use or give away as gifts for Christmas!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

3forholidays - ONLY 130 a day? Piece of cake lol :rotfl:
Fluffysox, hope you have a fab time at the day out with Thomas (I love Llangollen). I'm going to keep a lookout for the Thomas days at railways a bit closer to us - DGS would love it.
Freespirit, reading about your Easter dinner made my mouth water - we had fishfingers and chips cos we were in a hurry lol. Might try and make up for it today though.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the bank holiday and you all enjoy whatever you end up doing today. It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Afternoon everyone. Hope all is well with you all.
Thank you all for your lovely words regarding my friend etc here. Still hard to believe, she was only 37 years old
We had a quiet Easter yesterday. LO wasn't feeling to great but came round a bit yesterday evening thankfully. The weather was Beautiful so kids enjoyed playing out in the garden and eating their Easter Eggs. They kept giving us this wee look everytime they went to get another one, like, I'm going to get shouted at this time :rotfl: But we just let them go. Life's too short, as we've been reminded this week.
They were up late last night so we all had a lie in today:T Felt great
We put our lovely new shiny table and chairs up too. It was lovely lol
Another glorious day here. There's an Easter Egg hunt on in our local park later on so we'll take a walk up to that and let them go mad for a bit lol. Hubby has said he'll sort out one of our plant beds that a cat is determined to make theirs:mad: We've tried EVERYTHING but it keeps coming back.
I got some lovely plants at the weekend so we'll plant those and see how we get on there.
The funeral isn't until Thursday, because of the holiday so all plans we had are still good to go. Hubby is heading back to work on Wednesday so he can get Thursday off.

Irishrose that poor family they are in my prayers. It does put things in perspective.
34holidays wow good luck!
Free spirit thank you for posting your easter sounded lovely.
Ours was ok easter egg hunt and roast lamb (yum!) Missed church as we were gossiping away. Since the clocks went forward I'm out of sync and the days feel faster.
Does anyone go away for Christmas to like centre parcs or similar or any recommendations. I'm thinking it might be less politic if we did this x0 -
Irishrose I read orange peel deters cats from flower beds as they don't like the smell.
Thinking of you at this difficult time, so sad to read about your friend. HugsSPC~12 ot 124

Great day today, playing in a local "country park" / nature reserve. lots of adventures in the trees, little train rides, arts and crafts in the visitors centre and a lovely hot chocolate in the cafe. Its all run by volunteers so either free/ very cheap/ voluntary donation. Beautiful and lots to entertain us. Weather is really wierd though. We had a bit of sunshine this afternoon. The rest of the time- fog?!? I can hear fog horns now.2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013
