Thank you, he's called Alfie. They went home on Friday, I didn't realise quite how much a grandchild would affect me, he is just so addictive.
Hope everyone is well
Back to school today, had to shoehorn Ds2 out of the house, he had the hump cos he'd eaten all the cocopops so I said it was ready red or weta is as I wasn't rushing down the shops for him LOL he is a cocopops addict I bet he buys some on the way home from school:rotfl:SPC~12 ot 124

I hope everyone is OK, I can see from a fast skim down the page that Congratulations are in order for Mrs M on the arrival of her grandson YAY!!!
Missing all the chatter on the thread but I just seem to have no time at the moment, I really hope to have more time within the next couple of months (which in theory I should do with job changes). Currently busy at work also as my manager is off sick so we have extra jobs there too. Wishing I was at the allotment or at least sat outside in the sun as a little congested and struggling with vertigo from ithoping it goes soon.
Well wishes all round and I do hope to be back regular soon xxChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Just a quick post to say I'm still here and reading every day but just not much to say.
Anyway, glad you had a lovely time MrsI - I think it must have been much needed all round.
Mrs M, it's amazing the effect a grandchild has. Sometimes I look at mine and I'm just overwhelmed with quite how much I love them.
Pixtotts, glad things went ok and you were able to do your reading. I do admire your determination, it can't have been easy for you but you should feel very proud of yourself.
Freespirit, glad you've had a few days off the cooking - do you loan your DS out lol? I always look for your post each day - it doesn't seem right if you haven't posted.
Well the only real news here is that I'm working again. I've taken a couple of years out and I put money away to fund my break in the run up to it but I've taken on a short term project now. It's with people I've worked with before and they're lovely and I must admit the coffers could do with a cash injection. Fortunately I've always been pretty good with budgeting and we don't lead a very extravagant life style (i.e. nobody asks us to go anywhere lol) and we don't drink or smoke so we've only had to top DHs pension up a bit each month which has allowed me to be lady of leisure. Unfortunately I've got to rather like it and definitely don't fancy making the work a long term thing haha.
Hope everyone is ok and it's just quiet on here because you're all having lots of fun and are just too busy to pop on.It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
mrsinvisible wrote: »morning, sorry for not posting in a while, but RL is taking up a lot of my energy, and as it is all negative stuff, it has no place on our merry christmas to you thread.
My first batch of seeds have germinated, and grown big enough to prack out -should replace the 'a' with 'i' cos they dont allow that word on the board! They are now snug in the greenhouse and the second batch are cooking nicely.
Nev the shred has been, and has said he will wash the conservatory down and sparkle it up for summer. Grass had its first cut, and the winter flowering pots got a dose of blood fish and bone so they will last another month.
As it is filthy wet outside today l suppose l should do some housework.
Glad you had a lovely break. your garden always sounds amazing! Love and caring thoughts to you and your family, you're all often in my thoughts xxx3forholidays wrote: »Freespirit I'm currently on target with my competition posts as I only need to enter an average of 130 a day. I'll let you know if I have any wins. I'm not entering for everything, just for things that I could use or give away as gifts for Christmas!
Wow! I'm really curious to see how many you win!mrs-moneypenny wrote: »Sorry haven't back read so hope all are well.
