I'll be watching the eclipse this morning, its reasonably clear here to fingers crossed!!! I think I was about 9 last time, and I do remember where I stood watching it through a viewer made with toilet rolls :rotfl:
feisty :j for the house, I'm keeping my fingers crossed it goes smoothly for you and *high five* for the new car!!! Take the delay in IVF as a gift to have a relax and get other things sorted out :)
princesskitty awww poor little one, I really hope that wiggle manages to settle soon. Have fun setting the easter egg hunt too :T I miss doing this!!!

I need some wedding assistance if anyone if available to have a peek at these two dresses for me? :) We are having a semi-formal wedding (church and then marquee reception with sit down meal and seating plan then evening is quite laid back, hog roast and disco) and I have ordered these short bridesmaid dresses

Which they all like and I think are really pretty. My colours are blush, cream and silver/grey. Are they ''formal'' enough or would a longer dress like

Be more suitable? I'm sure I am stressing about nothing and that the shorter ones are fine  :rotfl:
Any opinions are greatly received :)

I like the first ones. Very pretty! Love the hog roast idea too. Sounds fun.

    Evening everyone,

PEPPAPIG well the eclipse was a complete washout this morning, there was so much cloud, it did go darker but not dark, i ended up just putting bbc1 on :D to watch it. The Northern Lights are on my bucket list too :D

FEISTY fab news about the house, especially being that near to DHs parents, hope it all goes through smoothly. Like the other lovelies have said hopefully the most stressful part of the move will be over by the time you start treatment and you will feel more settled

PRINCESSKITTY how is the mastitis? Aww poor wiggle its a horrible time for them when teething

NEWTHRIFT i love both dresses but like the others i do prefer the shorter one, they are beautiful colours, aww its very sweet asking our opinion :D

KIWI haha definitely a little elf, i cant wait to read The Night Before Christmas to my DGS

PIXTOTTS ooh you are very brave my lovely agreeing to read at the funeral, sending you hugs

MURIE oh bless DD she was very brave for going ahead with it even though in so much pain i hope they give her some leeway

SPRINGDREAMS thankyou for the links to those Molten Brown baubles

newthrift - I love both the long and the short... Both are suitable for semi formal... If pushed I think personally prefer the shorter I just think they are really cute, and the long says beach or meadow to me. Both are lovely though, and both dresses which could be worn again! Which is something I love of a bridesmaid dress!

freespirit66 - I'm ok thankyou. It has definitely kept me busy doing my new streets, and gran would have liked it that I was taking people she knew books :) .

Funeral plans have been made, and I've accidentally agreed to read some stuff... I don't like public speaking, but my cousin is, and of the 3 of us I am the most likely to make it through so figured I better had lol.
And we decided on the same poem as we had at my nannys funeral, which I can't even read sat in our lounge so I bowed out of that one quickly.

I didn't watch the eclipse myself, I remember watching the last one though :)
    x

Hugs pixtotts. As others have said, only do a reading if you feel comfortable. Your nan would have preferred it that way.

We have the funeral for DH nan on Wednesday, she passed first few days of March, so it's been a very drawn out process. What with DH going in in for another procedure on Thursday and the funeral Friday, it's going to be a sad/stressful week.

Thank you for all the well wishes re house and treatment :) xxx

    Afternoon everyone.
My sympathies to those who have lost someone and have funerals this week. I have to admit I've never understood the reasoning why deaths/funerals in England are so prolonged. I've told my family that if I have to bury them there'll be none of this 2 week business for them.
Here depending on when the person dies, they're buried within 2-3 days of dying
And that is stressful enough, how you all cope for a longer time I take my hat off to you all.

I didn't get to see as much of the eclipse as I would have liked on Friday as I was in work. But we had a lovely clear sky right outside the window. Even then though because I didn't have the safe glasses I saw nothing, until it went dull. Apparently we were getting about 95% coverage here, I didn't notice much difference TBH :rotfl: It was just like a normal cloudy day in Belfast when it went dull, but hey ho lol:rotfl:

Off out to a charity fun day here today at the local football pitch, so no Sunday dinner being made as there'll be a BBQ and Chippy vans lol. It's a beautiful sunny day here so DH has said he'll cut the monster trees we have in the garden when we get back. Regretting ever buying those now as their a pain:mad:

Off now to order our new table and chairs for the garden from Asda, and also a Christmas Jumper that is down to £8 from £16. I loved it at Christmas but refused to pay £16 for it.
Also saw a couple for the kids also so will get those too while I'm at it.

Please may I join you lovely folks?

I used to be around, mainly on the 'let it snow' board, but I've been completely out of action following a stroke, shockingly at 47. I'm still off work atm, but trying to sort out a new 'normal' for my scrambled-egg brain. If I forget things, especially names, please bear with me. :)

Having read back on all 39 pages, I feel like I know everyone already and there are some names that I certainly remember from old Christmas boards.

Needless to say, despite my now dreadful hand-writing (to be honest, it always was awful!), my cards are all written and addressed, so woe-betide anyone who moves or has a new baby during the year without permission to change their Christmas list entry!

It seems that the year has not got off to a great start for many of you so my warmest wishes extend to everyone, whatever your circumstances and I hope to 'meet' you all soon.

My birthday is August 29th btw.

Merry Christmas wishes to everyone for the coming year :xmastree:
