Evening everyone,
PRINCESSKITTY its you that inspired me to use my Pinterest rather than just pinningI made Coconut Crispy Chicken and Twice Baked Potatoes then No Bake Hazelnut Cheesecake from Good Food, i started cooking a recipe a week from my ripped out GF recipes last year and it has stuck, i love cooking new recipes. My kids were hysterical about the address book as well so dont worry heehee :rotfl:Oh what a shame about the Tricia Ashley book i have it on my kindle but havent read it yet!
CHRISSY glad DDs hospital appointment went well, its like a breath of fresh air when someone does their job properly and seems to care. Good for you buying local fruit and veg, i would love to but down sarrrfffff we are ripped off with high prices if we buy from farm shops or delivery services
MSGIGGLEWICK oh i can never get to these sales in the week, glad you got some fab bargains
NIC oh blooming eck i would have got as much as i could carry as well at those pricesglad you had a great time at rollerderby, we all need time to be ourselves and do something we really enjoy so go for it Nic and ignore the huffs, keep that chin up girl
we are only here once
PEPPAPIG oh how annoying that the car parking causes so much distress, we have 2 aldi stores near us and one of them shares a car park with The Range and Mothercare so you can imagine what that one is like (hideous to park) and the other one is further out of town but you always have to wait to park, its so small
NEWTHRIFT oh your dress and veil sound beautiful, i cant wait to see the piccies
SPRINGDREAMS oh what a lovely offer i would have but i have read both of them, thankyou though
JJ oh you poor thing, i feel mad for you  why dont they do their flipping jobs properly, its not just the expense but the time and the stress of it all as well grrrrr hope you had a lazy day when you got home to de stress#103 1p Saving Challenge Back to Front 293.94/665.95Currently Reading: Christmas at Cedarwood Lodge - Rebecca Raisin Debt Free thanks to MSE0 -
CHRISSYG so glad you had a good experience with your DD at the hospital, I hope you can get some good help. I love the idea of buying local produce, but I agree with freespirit, where I live the farm shops are extortionate!
msgigglewick and nic2075 sounds like great bargains! It's too difficult for me to get to Wilko's but love hearing about your bargains.
nic2075 roller derby sounds like loads of fun, I didn't realise they did it for adults. You just ignore your OH, you have to put yourself first sometimes for your own well being.
newthrift your dress sounds gorgeous, can't wait to see the pics!
Junior that is so insensitive! How hard is it to let someone know their appointment was cancelled?! Sorry you had such a wasted day.
freespirit i'm glad we can inspire each other on here. The recipes sound yummy! The Trisha Ashley book is good, it's just not very Christmassy despite the name.
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY bloomingtasty and nicki! _party_0 -

Hello all! I have calmed down after yesterdays wasted day - I went to home bargains and my friend came round! I also had a long nap! Home bargains had some good items in - if there are any pug fans they have lovely fabric pug bags , nice mugs and other bits from 49p.
I am going to write a list of stocking items for mum and bro I need this year. Usually we do like £1 stuff but its so last minute its a bit rushed. I want to include stuff like nice novelty items , some nice bath stuff ect.
Also a stab in the dark. .does anyone have experience with diabetes and can suggest items for a hamper for a diabetic person - mums diabetic and she basically doesn't eat carbs or sugar now and luckily controlled her condition (she has lost a bunch of weight too)
I was thinking maybe a couple of diabetic cook books and some items or ingredients to add to them.NanMias - cyber granddaughter!

JJ - sorry to hear about the appointment being cancelled. I know what traffic you're talking about I think (I live in the city) and it truly stinks sometimes. Can't believe it's taking me 30 mins to do 3 miles in the morning to work
Haven't done any more shopping recently as have been pretty busy at work with various things but have my sister and mum's birthdays coming up next month so will need to ask them whether there's anything they would like and remember to buy the cards!
No sign of snow down sarf but it was proper ice on on my car this morning and not just frost. The scraper wasn't cutting it so out came the de-icer for the first time this winterThe water in my pond hasn't defrosted all day either lol
