    Evening all :)
I hope you are enjoying the weekend.
springdreams every time I spot your avatar I won't to do a little bum wiggle along with them :rotfl:
congestion slightly eased today and I got through bootcamp well, would be better if it would be gone altogether but never mind.
Chip shop tea with champagne at my parents tonight with the future inlaws, two of my grandparents, OH's siblings and partners (my brother & GF couldn't come which is why they came for tea last night bless them) all to celebrate our engagement :) We had the marquee people here today which was fantastic as we got properly sort the reception out.

I have finally sat and had a think about Christmas presents for people this year. Birthday's for some people I know and others I'm not too sure.
Christmas I'm going full steam ahead with hampers, so after catching up here and getting changed and ready for tonight I'm going to have an hour and make a list so I'm all organised :)
    Brother & GF - Movie/Night in hamper
Mum & Dad - Foodie hamper
MIL & FIL - Foodie hamper
    SIL - pamper hamper
Her BF - Beer and choc
BIL & GF - I have a couple of ideas depending on if they move in together this year.
Grandparents - A useful things they like and use (they don't like random clutter)

Right time to get myself spruced up for later and actually write this in my Christmas binder before I forget and have to scroll back on here for what I have written ;)
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

  • Started to make a dent on the Christmas gift list. Working on the birthdays first and they are ticking off nicely!

We have £42 in clubcard points already, which I have decided I will double up nearer the time to buy the kids Christmas / birthday toys ( November birthdays). I am hoping for at least £100 in points, although hopefully more like £150 so we will have a minimal cash spend on their birthdays/Christmas.
  • Evening everyone, i am having a no going out, chilled, relaxing weekend this weekend, i feel really run down, im tired from having nightmares and getting up to p** god knows how many times a night (7 last night) i have numerous spots on my face and a mouth ulcer :( so today i had a lie in, then read my book, wrapped christmas and birthday presents that are already bought, watched our lovefilm dvd, read some more of my book and watched The Voice, tomorrow i am looking after my little man while both DDs go for a run, then i am baking a cake then making a Pinterest recipe for dinner and try and get some more reading done :D:D

PRINCESSKITTY oh please let me know how you get on with your steam mop, i bought one 3 years ago a Vax one about £70 and it only worked about 4 times :mad: but i really need one now it wont be long before little man will be moving around and with the dog going in and out i want to make sure the floor is superclean but after being so disappointed with the last one i dont want to make the same mistake again!! Have a lovely breakfast :)

MRSINVISIBLE you arent lazy its THE WEEKEND!!!!

NEWTHRIFT ooh champagne and fish and chips sounds lovely :)hope it all goes well :) and glad you feel a bit better

PRETTYKITTYCAT oh i wish i could save as many points as that, mine are pitiful i just make enough to get my magazine subscription from them, although this year i am going to try and shop there more :)

Freespirit66 - Have you had your sugar levels checked ? p-ing a lot can be a sign of raised sugar.

DD enjoyed her youth club but once home she was in agony with her ankle and she had a big fit.

While she was at the club I picked up my M&S order 2 packs of cracker kits should have been £12 but I got them for £3-58 :D.I have ordered her main birthday gift , a British made leather satchel that she has been drooling over for a long time.

  • Morning, reporting for duty.
Newthrift you are very organised, keep up the good work! I love a wedding!!!
Freespirit, thanks for the weekend reminder xxx. Regards the mop, look on the back there is a customer care number. The mop has a 3 year guarantee, ask for it to be repaired/replaced, and they will arrange to collect it, and send you a new one. Regards the piddl*ng, maybe an overactive bladder, your GP can arrange test for this, and treatment. I did last year, the results are amazing,
ChrissyG, your poor daughter is going through the mill, hope things improve for you both. She will love her satchel, from her lovely mum.
DS2 came to see me last night, he hasn't heard from the DWP decision maker yet, and has lost even more weight with worrying. I despise this system, and the heartless people who designed it.
Ah, well, l must move my butt and get ready for my weekly Skype visit to the grandnibs, have a lovely day, all. xx

Congrats on the win Freespirit, I'm just burning the last of my big Christmas Yankee and am halfway down one that my sister gave me because she doesn't like cinnamon and I do. You do definitely sound like your system is run down, maybe because things have calmed down now after the festive season. I think things often hit you when you take time to take a breath because you've been running on adrenaline. I agree with the others, could be worth talking to the doctor about having to use the loo so much, especially if its disturbing your sleep. Hope you soon feel much better.

Chrissy, sorry to hear about DDs fit, hope she's ok. I do admire the way you handle it. It must be comforting for DD knowing that you deal with the situation so calmly.

MrsI, hope DS soon gets some good news from the DWP, it must be such a worry for you both.

Newthrift, I think champagne and fish and chips sounds fab too. I think the same as you about Springdreams' avatar lol. Hope the congestion eases soon, as a fellow sufferer I do sympathise.

Not much going on today here. Popped over to see DGS as was the party for his 3rd birthday today - he's mad about Thomas the Tank Engine, Mickey Mouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates so they featured heavily in his presents. Just have to remember to call him 'Captain' and say 'Yo ho ho' quite a bit. I can tell you that the songs from both Jake and Thomas are very very difficult to get out of your head once they're in there!

Afternoon all, hope everyone is well
Well done on the Yankee candle win free spirit
Belated birthday wishes to those I've missed
All January birthdays dealt with here, and I picked up a nice valentines card for DH while in card factory past week.
I've made a good start on the blanket for expected 1st grandchild and am over half way through, and bought a cross stitch kit for a Christmas stocking, I'm hoping to have that done for Christmas as a first Christmas gift. ( possible family tradition there if I get enough notice with future grand kiddies)
Ds2 is at Bletchley park today with explorers so hoping he has a lovely time. Going to go and get on with some more knitting now while I've got the chance.

  • loving reading all your posts.

Due to me very unexpectedly being rushed into hospital the week before Christmas for 5 weeks I wasn't able to celebrate it.

Not one to miss out & just to be different, we're celebrating our Christmas on Tuesday!

My youngest DS is coming home from Essex on Christmas Eve (tomorrow) & my mum's coming over for a proper traditional lunch with all the trimmings. The only thing I've not managed to find is the brandy sauce for the pudding

    We've trimmings/lights/pressies/crackers the works :j

Our neighbours will think we've finally gone mad!

    :xmassign: :D
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker :)

    glad you are back on the mend & will still be enjoying a belated Christmas with your loved ones. Re the Brandy sauce, why not make your own, is quite easy. I've made this one before & can be made in advance;
