  • Evening everyone,

Hope everyone has had a good weekend! I have had a good day, cake turned out lovely, pinterest dinner was gorgeous, snuggles with the little man albeit for 1hr, didnt finish book but not far off will just keep plugging away at it here and there, thankyou CHRISSY, MRSINVISIBLE, PEPPAPIG, i really really need to go to the doctors, they wont renew my prescription if i dont go up there, its been a year since i had that massive panic attack about going and i have just buried my head in the sand about making an appt, i will now have to and will mention it, i really thought it was a sign of being in the older age group shall we say :rotfl:

CHRISSY oh no your poor DD she does go through it doesnt she?? So glad she enjoyed the youth group and even more glad she didnt have the fit while there, i hope she loves her lovely handbag she so deserves it

MRSINVISIBLE ah um..... because i bought it from Comet before they went bankrupt i didnt think i would get anywhere and ended up decluttering it into the bin  I so agree with you about the system in this country it makes my blood boil because it is the genuine people who suffer and worry and the work shysters who dont care a jot and get away with it. It does really stress people out who are genuine and scared of losing this benefit, look at poor JJ who had to go to an interview, my god the poor girl lives constantly in pain, is always at hospital appts, endures endless hospital stays and then has to go and fight her corner :mad: i hope your DS2 hears soon

PEPPAPIG oh i lurve Cinnamon Stick all year round :) Haha that made me giggle having to call him captain and saying yohoho :rotfl::rotfl:bless him, i hope he enjoyed his party

MRSMONEYPENNY oh i hope you put pics on of the blanket, DD2 was given some beautiful homemade blankets for little man. How long has DD got left to go?

WESTYWOODPECKER oh im so sorry you have been so unwell and spent christmas in hospital, hope you have a fab couple of days with your family celebrating christmas. Happy Christmas!!

    Re the Brandy sauce, why not make your own, is quite easy. I've made this one before & can be made in advance;

I am ill with the flu. I just want to sleep but can't seem to :-( I also have a sore back where I pulled it when lifting the head onto the kids snowman last week. Feel really icky!

    Afternoon everyone
Haven't been around in a while :( I've been struggling around on crutches for the past week and boy are they hard work:eek:

Florida plans are going well ATM. Nothing has been booked...... yet... as we're waiting on final numbers for going lol.
We've chosen where we will be staying, what park tickets we will need, and started the saving for our dream holiday.

Can't book flights until August at the earliest, the big decision we need to make is whether we fly from Belfast or Dublin. Belfast would be much easier as we live 20mins away from the airport and with kids in tow would make more sense, however Dublin is a 2hr drive down the road and apparently customs is much easier and we won't have long queues at the other end. We'll wait and see what the price of flights are like too there and see what happens.

The main focus now is for m and DH to clear our debts. To be honest we don't have that much each, I've just under £2000 and he has £3000. But thanks to the help of the debt free challenges on here we're getting there.
We want to get the Credit cards cleared, after that we can cope, it's the credit cards that need done as they're earning interest each month.

We've been forecast snow for this week again, which should be fun on crutches  However I'm still waiting for the snow we were forecast last week and the week before so I'll not hold my breath for it this week :(

Christmas prep is going well, just ordered 4 books off Amazon to put away for pressies, and have a few other items on my wish list to get also.
Congratulations, and get well hugs to those who need them. SOrry for not being able to catch up properly, but as I'll be off work for the rest of this week too I'll make an effort to do so.

It was a fantastic evening with a chippy tea and champers :D Really loved it!!

Thanks peppa, the congestion has subsided and a slight rough throat has appeared, but I’m on the mend.

Woodpecker Sorry that you missed out on Christmas in December but love that you are having a belated celebration, enjoy it :j:xmastree:

Nic I hope you feel better soon.

Hope you get used to the crutches soon and the bad weather stops away for you irishrose, or at least comes enough so that you can enjoy it from indoors and not risk yourself injury.

I can't get my head in to work today, i'm too busy thinking of how to organise at home, what meals I can do and how to re-jig my wardrobe around and where to get some nice new clothes from and then looking for at discounted prices....never mind all the wedding stuff i'm day dreaming about too :rotfl:
Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

  • nic2075 oh I do hope you feel better soon, flu is horrid. I've only had it once but I was laid up for a week. Take it easy with your back too. x

IrishRose sorry to hear you're on crutches, I do hope you recover soon from whatever has happened. The Florida holiday sounds fab! I love the idea of saving up for something big like that, it gives a real sense of satisfaction. Good luck with clearing the debts and saving for a dream holiday.
newthrift it made me smile when you said all you can think about is how to organise at home - I get the bit between my teeth sometimes and am exactly the same! I'm currently obsessed with being thrifty so feel like i'm constantly thinking about it! Still, there are much worse things to obsess over - just ask Katie Hopkins in CBB! :p

I am supposed to be going to a friends house today with a couple of other mums and babies but not sure I feel like it today. Normally I love it but it is quite full on with lots of babies and I feel like a nice quiet day at home. We've just started weaning wiggle and I felt quite emotional as it is a huge milestone -I don't know where the time has gone!
